Found Deceased CO - BARRY ARRESTED AGAIN - Suzanne Morphew, 49, Chaffee Co, 10 May 2020 *Case dismissed w/o prejudice* *found in 2023* #117

We can’t even ask that question on an employment application. FEHA Fair Employment and Housing Act protects against discrimination in California, sure Arizona has something similar.
A lot of times in life what's legal and what actually happens are two different things -

Might be a state by state thing who vets can give prescriptions to. Lots of info is found searching the deer farming websites and chat boards. In some of the Midwest states anyway sounds like a vet prescribes but the deer farmers administer it and the reversal agent within their herd management from what I recall looking it up long ago. The “B” in the drug combo is a class IV drug.
If that is the case wouldn’t there be other farmers who have it on hand?

BBM

I have been so angry at Suzanne’s daughters since seeing them beaming alongside BM when his charges were dropped. Thank you, @Love Never Fails for humanizing them and helping me feel compassion towards them.
I do not think it is possible for us to put ourselves in the girls' shoes. We may think we would NEVER do what they have done, but we really do not know. Look at Chad Daybell's kids. Also, I did read somewhere that Barry disrespected and demeaned Suzanne in front of the girls.

BBM:
This is incorrect. JG was never removed from the case. He retired from the FBI.
Retired LEOs frequently testify in criminal trials.
The prosecution will absolutely call JG as a witness.

A large part of this case will involve showing the jury the prolific lies and conflicting stories that BM gave to LE over the course of the investigation. Barry made numerous incriminating statements to JG in their interviews.

Jury needs to understand what they're dealing with here in terms of the defendant's statements and behavior post-offense. JG has done a masterful job of outlining that for jurors in other cases, most notably, the Letecia Stauch case, also out of Colorado.

His testimony won't confuse the jury.
His testimony will help make it crystal clear to them exactly whodunnit.

*ETA: I believe you may be thinking of JC, who was an investigator for the CBI, vs. JG, who worked for the FBI.
JG’s conversations with Barry will definitely come in. Barry himself shared the crux of the case unwittingly.

Remember someone on his crew said his hotel room STANK of bleach!!??

I believe Jonny Grusing will be a powerful witness. Even though he’s a retired FBI Special Agent, JG I will be a vital prosecution witness.
Oh I think he’s smart as they come don’t get me wrong. I am speculating if prosecution needs him to make their case. The state’s case is stronger with the new evidence and the lessons learned from the preliminary and motions earlier.

Nothing new here really. Just a recap of arrest in Arizona. From the local newspaper serving Chaffee County.

[…]

The district attorney’s office will be assisted by the Boulder County District Attorney’s Office in this prosecution. The Denver County District Attorney’s Office will provide appellate support. Boulder County District Attorney Michael Dougherty will work the case. “He has consistently provided essential support and leadership to rural prosecutors with limited resources to pursue major cases and obtain justice for victims throughout the state,” the release said.

To follow the case as it progresses, visit Coloradojudicial.gov/cases-interest.

Kelly stated the court hearings will likely be livestreamed.

Morphew waived his extradition hearing, which means he will be held without bond in Arizona for up to 30 days while awaiting transport back to Colorado. The sheriff's office will not disclose, partly for safety reasons, when it will be able to arrange pickup, but the sheriff has until July 21. No court hearings will be scheduled until he arrives at the Alamosa Detention Center.

In order for him to get a fake passport he would also need fake proof of citizenship, i.e. a fake state-issued birth certificate and fake proof of identity, a valid driver's license, military ID, or other government-issued ID.

I guess you just find yourself an all-purpose fake ID-maker and get fakes of everything while you’re at it.

I thought the indictment said that he was the only “private citizen” living in that area of the state with access to BAM.
[…]
The indictment report concluded with this statement: “Ultimately, the prescription records show that when Suzanne Morphew disappeared, only one private citizen living in that entire area of the state had access to BAM: Barry Morphew.”

BBM from above - District Attorney Michael Dougherty will work the case
It looks like he is running for AG in Colorado ( Weiser is running for Gov) - so this is a big case/high profile case for him

Here is the BM's new home shortly/ the Alamosa Colorado jail's website if anybody wants to put money on account for BM ;)

Maybe Iris will put a few bucks on his account, sort of a good luck gesture to the client she will never represent again.

Despite what she said a few days ago in the press, my opinion is she knows he’s guilty. She’s just a skilled liar.

That Doherty guy is interesting.

"In 2009, Michael was recruited to head up the Colorado DNA Justice Review Project, an effort that helped lead to the exoneration of an innocent man wrongly convicted of murder."

There is no universe where Iris doesn't know for a fact Barry is the killer. She's not a stupid woman.

For what purpose would he want her to be found? Collecting on life insurance??
I think for the lawsuit he filed against everyone in Colorado. If she was found and "in her biking clothing" he could show he didn't do it and she was on that ride and abducted by the stranger. He didn't count on BAM being in her bone marrow and linking right back to him.

But I thought the stories were that she either left for Equador or a mountain lion got her? Clearly there were no mountain lion marks on her remains.

He had a lot of ideas didn't he. lol

I am curious in the timing of him moving her. Not sure with the lack of bug activity if they think it was within months or if it could be later like after charges were dropped against him. If moving her was not for money somehow (insurance or the lawsuit) then I think he felt LE was going to search where he first put her, so he moved her. It is baffling why he chose the location he did. He was said to have hunted down there on a preserve. One of his Indiana buddies said they hunted there when he visited him.. so why did he pick that spot? Only think I can think he thought she would be found there. So then if he moved her so she wouldn't be found at the first place (maybe that location would like right bcak to him) or maybe because he thought she'd never be found there. Who knows with this guy.

Life insurance would be a huge one, if it exists. No 7 year wait with a body.

Getting access to the rest of her assets would be another one.

It's possible that he figured that her body being found in biking clothes, would help him with that lawsuit (being factually innocent probably helps somewhat).

If she was moved, which seems very, very likely, I just don't see any explanation other than him wanting her found, for one reason or another. You don't take a body that's been successfully hidden for two or so years, and put it in a shallow grave in a location where its eventual discovery is inevitable.
