In the days after Suzanne Morphew vanished on Mother’s Day 2020, her friend Tisha Leewaye led a group of volunteers through the wooded hills near the Morphew family home, searching for any sign of where she might have gone.

Leewaye, who had become acquainted with Suzanne a year earlier, tried to ignore the hysteria and focus on what mattered most: bringing her friend home.
She organized a search of the woods near where Suzanne’s bike was found, hoping to uncover clues that law enforcement might have missed.
Among the search party was an elderly man in his early 70s who accidentally wandered onto the Morphew property while scanning the ground for overlooked evidence.
According to Leewaye, the man was abruptly confronted by Morphew - armed with a shotgun - who shouted at him to get ‘the

* off my property’ and never come back.
‘We were so shocked,’ Leewaye told the Daily Mail. ‘It was such an unsettling interaction, and it was hard to believe someone would act like that towards somebody who was searching for his missing wife.
‘But I guess now we know… I don’t think he ever wanted her body to be found.’
Weeks and months passed without answers.
Leewaye continued organizing search parties and claimed to have had more fractious encounters with Morphew, alleging he often drove past them angrily at speed, heckling and ordering that they stay away from the home - but never once joined in.
