Avon police, Vail Mountain Rescue and other agencies are actively searching for Cole Greenfield, who has been missing since Friday night. Greenfield was last seen outside of Loaded Joe’s in Avon on Friday evening at around 9:45 p.m.

Greenfield has not returned to this unit at the Tarnes at Beaver Creek, which is an employee housing complex for Vail Resorts. He has not made it into work since that time. Greenfield is about 6 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs around 200 pounds. He has brown hair and some light facial hair.

Avon Police Chief Greg Daly said authorities became aware that Greenfield was missing Monday after his friends alerted authorities and started an organic search Monday afternoon.

Searchers are actively searching one of four possible routes that Greenfield could take between Loaded Joe’s and the Tarnes while also trying to triangulate the last ping from Greenfield’s cell phone. Greenfield was reportedly intoxicated on Friday night when he was last seen at Loaded Joe’s, where he was refused service.

…..Aaaaaaand, here we go again.

A twenty-something male, last seen leaving a bar, alone and on foot.

With a body of water nearby. Quelle surprise.

It goes without saying, so I'll go ahead and say it:

This is not looking good. At all.

JMO.

Darn it. :( That's right along the route from Loaded Joes to the Tarnes. MOO

So sad. Too many young people lost each year after drinking and then walking home in frigid weather. At that age I might have done it myself.

When he was refused service, I wonder if he was told to leave the bar? Extremely drunk people shouldn’t be allowed to leave the bar alone. An Uber or Lyft should be called for them. Too many people enjoying a night out go overboard and end up dead.

I am surprised he wasn’t found in water but I guess he was found in frozen water (snow). IMO

RIP
