I keep checking this thread for a positive update. :(

The positives exist, I promise.

This is my community and I am so proud of everyone for stepping up. People here give back to the community all the time. And we have been tested.

Columbine, the Aurora theater shooting, Jessica Ridgeway, a recent double murder and suicide where a mother took her children's lives and then her own. I could go on and on and on.

But you know what those things have done for us? They have given us an incredibly sensitive and well-trained police force. They have taught us that we will prevail. They have taught us that HATE does not win.

This is horrible and my heart aches to think of what this family is dealing with right now but one thing I know for sure is that we will find David and no matter what happens when that time comes, we will rally around that family and help in any way we can. And until that time comes, we will support our LE and the family and will do what we can to assist.

And without online communities like this we would never know how much the rest of the country loves us. Situations like this bring people together and remind us all of what's really important.

Love your kids tonight. Hug them and kiss them and tickle them, because you just really never know.

let's establish now while we wait for the presser, is it fact (from LE or MSM) that mom was at work and grandma watching children? Or is this rumor from SM comments that is slowly morphing into fact here?

Help a gal out. TIA

It didn't come from sm. It came from the previous press conference, see quote below, I bolded the section.

Oh and something else that was said at the presser that I might have forgotten to mention. (Forgive me if this has already been said.)

Someone (can't remember if it was a reporter or the officer) that Grandma was at the house watching the kids (which could be up to 4 children, if my research is correct) while Mom was at work.

There was also mention of the child possibly being seen last at 4:30pm on 12.31.16 but the police weren't called until 5:45pm and the officer said at today's presser that she thought about 15 minutes elapsed between the time the child went missing and the police were contacted.

However, SerenitySprings wasn't sure whether LE or a reporter said this. Maybe someone can search for a video of that presser and check. (I have problems watching videos on US websites.)

If he's been outside all this time, he's gone isn't he, realistically.
Guys, I'm struggling hard with this one.
Please David be okay!!

I seriously doubt that David is outside if he hasn't been found yet. Most likely, he's inside. In the case he is inside, best case scenario, the person who has him means well, has been feeding him and keeping him warm. I don't even need to talk about worst case.

A young missing child in this community reportedly wandered or run off from school in the past Local parents may also be concerned about that and want increased security measures at the school to prevent such an event in future. Maybe local parents didn't even know about this prior event until David went missing on Saturday.

David has wandered away from school once, McCoy said Monday afternoon. Police do not have any recorded instances of him running away from his home in Aurora, according to McCoy.

However, I don't see how this is important.
But..Kinda?

Probably the family changing stories. Multiple times. Hinky!

The spokesperson said it was because the family spent some time looking for David before reporting him missing but that doesn't make sense. Surely the family had already told LE earlier how long David was gone and how long they looked before calling 911, otherwise LE wouldn't have reported the 5:30 disappearance time in the first place. I'm not ready yet to turn a stink eye onto family but it does make me wonder.

IMO if LE doesn't find David tonight it's going to turn into a recovery operation. I'm afraid it's already too late. :tears:

This non family member - a child, teen, adult, whom?

Scary that he has run away before - um need CPS to assist. Too young sweet boy. Frustrating. Where are you David. I don't buy the leaving out the window :gaah:

He would have sought out shelter of some sort. Someone's vehicle, etc. Something sinister has happened in my opinion.

Pray he is found soon.

I feel bad, but I've been thinking about the family since I first read about it. It doesn't seem as if David felt comfortable, as he ran away multiple times....
But anyway, I agree, I'm thinking that tomorrow morning they'll announce that it's more than what they have said.

Wow. The bloodhounds were out an hour after David was reported missing. Is that quick or does PD
usually get the dogs out that quick?

That's positive. sometimes it takes longer to get the sar dogs out.
BUT... they should have found him by now. Or at least hit on the scent where he was observed last .
If someone in a vehicle picked him up.. wouldn't the dogs track to the last spot David was standing on ?

The window is a plausible story.

The majority of the houses here in Aurora are split-level houses. David's cup-de-sac has both split-level and one-story houses.

In my split-level, the downstairs windows are at ground level. If his bedroom is downstairs, he would've only needed to stand on something (a dresser, a bed, a stool or chair, etc.) to get out.

This is going to sound crazy, but hear me out.
David has left home reportedly before. Maybe he left to find shelter elsewhere, and someone thinks they are doing the right thing by keeping them there? David may have had a worse homelife than we think, and provided the person he found with such info, and they decided to keep him with them? They may think LE will take David away and place him back into the home, so they are keeping quiet.
Probably a stretch.

Thanks.
I couldn't care less if he was tall or short for his age. I was just curious whether his height was accurate. Did someone overstate his height because they simply had no idea and made a wild guess?

Hopefully it means absolutely nothing and the height is fairly accurate.
