Post with his missing info.

The comments (LJB) & (JD) & (JS) under the post are disturbing personally. If true, I can’t imagine what this family is feeling right now!

Search Continues For Missing Man In Mesa County
1 Jun 2021

SBM
Reports on social media indicate people "witnessed him drowning in the river," however, this has not been confirmed. Authorities have searched the river and the area but so far have come up empty. Many people have continued to look for Robinson along the river and have searched as far downriver as Loma. One woman said she thought she saw him walking on E Road going towards 32 Road, wearing the same clothes and carrying a black backpack.

Although this would be horrible if it is true he drowned, I’m glad it’s been shared in media now. It may catch the attention of someone else that may have seen something or seen him that night.
This report (ex w/ backpack) sadly seems to match up with what’s circulating on social media my multiple people.

Perhaps the witness report of someone, possibly Dustin, walking on E Road helps explain his mom's post on his FB page? I may be misinterpreting what I read, but her wording is odd, imo.

Sheriff’s Office: Body recovered from Colorado River

On Monday morning, the Mesa County coroner confirmed that the body that was recovered from the Colorado River last Friday was 43-year-old Dustin Robinson, who had been missing since May 24.

RIH, Dustin.

Thank you for posting this update.
I was afraid this would be the outcome of Dustin’s case; hopefully now his finance has a sense of closure..I can’t imagine what she must be feeling right now.

....
LE received a report around 9 p.m., May 24, saying that witnesses had seen an unidentified man fall into the river while climbing up a cliff near 32 1/2 Road and D Road.

The Mesa County Coroner confirmed that Robinson was not wearing a life vest, and died of drowning.

I wonder if hiking and other outdoor activities like this was something Dustin often did?
I’m not surprised he wasn’t wearing a life vest; I wouldn’t think most people would when climbing up a cliff.
