Hall says in June 2013 when they searched Middle Mountain Rd and found items belonging to #DylanRedwine as well as some of Dylan's remains Hall and Cory were the ones who had to identify them. He says #MarkRedwine was not there at the time. @KKTV11News

#DylanRedwine's stepdad is on the stand. He's recounting the moments Dylan went missing and what he, his wife, and Dylan's brother did to look for him. Michael Hall says, his wife, Cory Redwine, and himself were involved in every search doing what they could to find Dylan.

Mr Hall even hired a team with sonar to search the lake.

They walked the area looking for his shoe prints.

He was so much more of a dad to Dylan.

Mike Hall searched the side of the road looking for Dylan's shoe prints to verify MR's claim that Dylan walked away and not because he thought Dylan was hit by a car.

He didn't find any shoe prints.

Happy that at least for a short time Dylan had a good role model in Mike Hall.

This^^ Was MR up there moving evidence???
IMO, the indictment implies authorities believe that MR likely moved Dylan's skull.

Reportedly, a witness observed MR driving down from the gate alone, April 2013.

Around June 2013, some of Dylan's remains were located about 8 miles up Middle Mountain Road from Mark's house (roughly 1 mile past the gate which closes seasonally end of November).

In 2015 - Dylan's skull was located by hikers about 1.5 miles from the first recovery site through very tough terrain -- more easily accessible by Middle Mountain Rd, consistent with a human moving it. (See pg 3).

I can't imagine the horror of hiking and finding someone's remains. All the more interesting to me since we have backpacked that same area before.

Daniel Patterson - La Plata County Sheriff's Office Investigator (retired)

  • #200
Next witness Daniel Patterson, currently retired, was investigator at sheriff’s office

Dylan’s case was assigned to him

He received Dylan’s laptop that was on dining room table

Talking about canvassing efforts, produced no evidence to find Dylan

Lots of tips came in, lots of community involvement, didn’t disregard any tips, lots of psychic tips

Got MR’s bank records, put them into evidence, another witness will come to talk about them

Did roadway searches for anything that belonged to Dylan that was never found…until they found his shoe

He even recanvassed on his own

Went up to middle mountain after tip came in that MR’s truck was seen up there, gate was locked but he could walk around gate

Made arraignments for divers in pond, search at waterfall area

June 2013 big organized search at middle mountain on a sting line, he also searched this area in May… June search found a shoe, identified as Dylan’s by Elaine, area it was found was steep and rugged, shred of underwear, sock, ear buds, shreds of clothing…looked like a dump site for the body

Dog alerted on a bone, even with dead animal bones all around
