Since they were searching for Edna 30 miles from where she disappeared, I'm guessing they don't think she's near where she went missing. I think that says a lot.

Only that EQ left the mountain ahead of him and when he got to his vehicle, she wasn't there.... CBS also not identifying him or seeking him out for details since he's not been named a suspect.

One would assume ... that LE want to speak with him if they haven't already ?
Edna does not look like she'd suddenly decide to go for a hike by herself, I think she's the sort who'd be content to be in other's company ?

I don't know her level of fitness, but even if at the peak of health, it makes no sense that she wouldn't return to the car for the ride home after a day of hiking ... to put up her feet after dinner and maybe watch some tv ?
Did she have pets that needed looking after ?
I haven't read if she did.
Some people who have cats or doggos won't just up and leave them !

There's not much out there about her personal life at all.
I'm sorry if she came to any harm (hope not !); she looks like a gentle soul.

In the CBS report posted last Friday, reporter says they've not named him or reached out to him for comment because police have not named him POI/suspect. I didn't get any indication he's missing.

Ms Quintana, a mother of five, has been missing for exactly five months. Her family reported her missing after she went hiking with a boyfriend on 3 May and didn’t return.

“Me and my mom and my brother were worried that she hadn’t come over because she was coming over every day if not every other day,” her sister Marilyn Quintana told CBS News.

Her cousin also told KRDO that Ms Quintana was “not involved with a very good group” when she went missing back in May.

While the couple were apparently up in the mountains, Ms Quintana reportedly decided to go back down. When her boyfriend came down back to the car, she was nowhere to be seen.

The mother of five traveled back and forth between Saguache and Center to see her children, but Marilyn tells CBS Colorado she more recently spent her time with a man she had been seeing for about two years.

At first, Marilyn had no idea her sister was missing.

"Me and my mother were worried she hadn't come over because she was coming over every day if not every other day," said Marilyn.

Marylin says it was not until a few days later her cousin told her Edna went hiking with the man she was seeing on May 3. So far I am a little confused. She disappeared May 3rd 2023
-Earlier I read on this thread that she was last seen walking along the road - but not by who or the timing - after she came down from the mountain hike?
-This article indicates she was hiking with her bf of 2 years in the mountains ( not specifics on location or who the bf is)
She evidently decided to go back to the car before the bf and when he got to the car she was no where to be seen.
Was an immed search done of that area when they were hiking? When was she actually reported missing ?

Also her family said she had begun to hang out with a not so great crowd( paraphrasing) - I am not sure what that means-drugs? crime? - what goes on in Saguache? same as every other area? Meth and stuff?

Her family is fifth generation in the Saguache area so I am assuming they have strong connections and ties to the community?

I am just getting up to speed so forgive the questions if they are answered by the posts I have not read yet.

So far it just seems that there is so little information out there. I am thinking a reporter/youtuber etc needs to do a little digging and get thngs out there - I am not sure how to make that happen ? JMO

BBM above - I find it interesting that seemingly her family reported her missing and not her hiking partner. Was she reported missing the same day she disappeared ? Maybe the hiking partner notified the family? And they took it from there?
I am thinking maybe the family could do a press conference to get the word out and by adding some "color" to the disappearance would maybe jog someone's memory. Did she work ? It has been reported she had five children - was she previously married etc.

She has a known medical condition so it does not sound like she would wander off aimlessly. Plus IMO it appears she has mostly been in this area her whole life - between Center City and Saguache - Center City being just south of Sauguache.

Replying to myself lol. I know a lot of journalists seek out Suzanne's sister for interviews. Melinda has probably already thought of this but maybe she could condition her interview with the journalist upon having them also interview Edna's family and to give it the same amount of press or along those lines ? JMO

hmmm….I have to wonder, did Edna ever come down the mountain? Or, was there even a hike up the mountain? Did anyone other than he “bf” see her that day? So few details and SO many questions.

A medical condition is concerning. Early May should not have been overly hot, but dehydration is still a possibility. Recalling hiker Angela Tramonte, who left a hike with a date to walk back alone and died from heat exposure. AT was described as having a healthy, active lifestyle. Here we have Edna with medical issues.

I get the boyfriend isn’t a POI, but he would be a witness and possibly the last to see her. After two years of dating, I would think he would be concerned about finding her. We haven’t heard anything about him, or from him. At least not yet, AFAIK.
