Since they were searching for Edna 30 miles from where she disappeared, I'm guessing they don't think she's near where she went missing. I think that says a lot.
Shades of Barbara Thomas.Only that EQ left the mountain ahead of him and when he got to his vehicle, she wasn't there.... CBS also not identifying him or seeking him out for details since he's not been named a suspect.

So, was the boyfriend the last person to see Edna? No one has heard from her again since the hike? Well, that’s interesting.I think hiking with her boyfriend might still be a clue. She went back to the car and was never seen again?
One would assume ... that LE want to speak with him if they haven't already ?So, was the boyfriend the last person to see Edna? No one has heard from her again since the hike? Well, that’s interesting.
I am looking around to see if he has spoken out to media. Or police. Or family. Is he missing too?
In the CBS report posted last Friday, reporter says they've not named him or reached out to him for comment because police have not named him POI/suspect. I didn't get any indication he's missing. So, was the boyfriend the last person to see Edna? No one has heard from her again since the hike? Well, that’s interesting.

Found it. Thank you @Seattle1. Now I want to know why Edna decided to go back down the mountain, alone. In the CBS report posted last Friday, reporter says they've not named him or reached out to him for comment because police have not named him POI/suspect. I didn't get any indication he's missing.
"I miss her, because I was always able to talk to her," said Marilyn Quintana.
56-year-old Edna Quintana has been missing since May 3 this year. Her sister, Marilyn, spoke with CBS Colorado from her home in Saguache, which is where Edna was also from.

Following discovery of Suzanne Morphew's remains in Colorado, another Saguache County family seeks closure for missing loved one
While one Colorado family is a step closer to closure in their loved one's disappearance, the family of another Saguache County missing person is still left searching.www.cbsnews.com
Her family reported her missing after she went hiking with a boyfriend on 3 May and didn’t return.Found it. Thank you @Seattle1. Now I want to know why Edna decided to go back down the mountain, alone.
Ms Quintana, a mother of five, has been missing for exactly five months. Her family reported her missing after she went hiking with a boyfriend on 3 May and didn’t return.
“Me and my mom and my brother were worried that she hadn’t come over because she was coming over every day if not every other day,” her sister Marilyn Quintana told CBS News.
Her cousin also told KRDO that Ms Quintana was “not involved with a very good group” when she went missing back in May.
While the couple were apparently up in the mountains, Ms Quintana reportedly decided to go back down. When her boyfriend came down back to the car, she was nowhere to be seen.

Sister of woman whose remains were found in Colorado issues plea for missing hiker
Suzanne Morphew’s sister wants people to turn their attention to Edna Quintana, the missing woman police were searching for when they found her siblingwww.the-independent.com
Replying to myself lol. I know a lot of journalists seek out Suzanne's sister for interviews. Melinda has probably already thought of this but maybe she could condition her interview with the journalist upon having them also interview Edna's family and to give it the same amount of press or along those lines ? JMOHer family reported her missing after she went hiking with a boyfriend on 3 May and didn’t return.
BBM above - I find it interesting that seemingly her family reported her missing and not her hiking partner. Was she reported missing the same day she disappeared ? Maybe the hiking partner notified the family? And they took it from there?
I am thinking maybe the family could do a press conference to get the word out and by adding some "color" to the disappearance would maybe jog someone's memory. Did she work ? It has been reported she had five children - was she previously married etc.
She has a known medical condition so it does not sound like she would wander off aimlessly. Plus IMO it appears she has mostly been in this area her whole life - between Center City and Saguache - Center City being just south of Sauguache.

A medical condition is concerning. Early May should not have been overly hot, but dehydration is still a possibility. Recalling hiker Angela Tramonte, who left a hike with a date to walk back alone and died from heat exposure. AT was described as having a healthy, active lifestyle. Here we have Edna with medical issues. She has a known medical condition so it does not sound like she would wander off aimlessly.
