Ellicott High School teacher arrested for child after his ex-wife went to authorities

EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) - A Colorado teacher was arrested for child on Monday. According to arrest papers obtained by 11 News his ex-wife reported the alleged crime to police.

The El Paso County Sheriff's office announced the arrest of 28-year-old Patrick McMahon. He was taken into custody at Ellicott High School without incident. He was arrested for sexual exploitation of a child and is being held without bond.

Were the two students that complained to the school resource officer students of Ellicot? I take it he must be childless for his ex to wait this long to come forward? Even if that is the case, she should have contacted authorities as soon as she knew.
