Man missing in Centennial | 9news.com
ARAPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. — An active search is underway in the Centennial area for a 59-year-old man who was last seen Thursday afternoon when he left his home to pick up his grandchild at a nearby school, the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office said.
Faustin Havugimana, 59, was last seen leaving his home in the 6200 block of South Albion Way around 2 p.m. Thursday. He was walking to Lois Lenski Elementary School to pick up his grandchild, but never arrived, the sheriff's office said.
Deputies are now using drones to search creek beds and the mounted unit is patrolling nearby trails for any sign of Havugimana who has a medical condition that requires medication.
There have been no sightings of him and authorities said they're concerned due to the dropping temperatures and possible snow in the forecast.
Deputies said Havugimana does not speak English, and only speaks the Rwandan language Kinyarwanda.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Arapahoe County dispatch at 303-795-4711.
