I think her flight to SC might have been the straw (that and whatever they found in those searches). The teams all met up, the stories all jived, she fled the state, he had that July 1 deadline coming up - and now, the criminal was on the loose in another jurisdiction (where May must feel he has a duty to warn and prevent further criminal activity). TS's ability to manipulate through SM once outside of CO was also greatly expanded (and frankly, I think that's what was happening the last few days).
