Found Deceased CO - Gannon Stauch, 11, Colorado Springs, El Paso County, 27 Jan 2020 #25 **ARREST**

Stepmom charged with murder in case of missing Colorado boy Gannon Stauch

Charges against LS:

1. 1st Degree Murder of a child under 12 by a person in a position of trust
2. Child abuse resulting in death
3. Tampering with a deceased human body
4. Tampering with physical evidence

This tells us so much, but leaves a lot to question...are they charging her with tampering with a deceased human body simply for concealing him, or does this mean that Gannon passed away in one place and was moved to another location?

Perhaps cadaver dogs hitting on a spot during one of the searches? Cadaver dogs hitting on a car, the rental maybe? Gannon’s DNA and evidence of decomp. Somewhere and then in another location?

It also obviously shows she attempted to remove or relocate evidence of her crime. This we assumed. Now we know. But in order to charge her with #3?

(1) A person commits tampering with a deceased human body if, believing that an official proceeding is pending, in progress, or about to be instituted and acting without legal right or authority, the person willfully destroys, mutilates, conceals, removes, or alters a human body, part of a human body, or human remains with intent to impair its or their appearance or availability in the official proceedings.

(2) Tampering with a deceased human body is a class 3 felony.

I know we don't have Gannon home yet but THEY DID IT. They pieced it together just like we knew they would and they will nail her to the wall. No doubt about it. Their is such passion with all LE that are working on this case and you can just tell they will not stop until he is home.

Guys, Im gutted. Little angel Thomas Valva is still fresh on my mind, I still cry for him daily.
And now sweet Gannon. It's too much to bear sometimes that the world is so evil and scary.
I think it's time for WS break. It's been a rough few weeks around here. I want justice for these boys but I'm not sure I can handle hearing any of the details that come out.

All I can say is I feel so bad for this poor child who obviously endured an awful lot in his young life. The only thing that helps is knowing he is in a beautiful place, happy and in no pain, no abuse, nothing but deep deep love.

While I agree, but I also don’t think Al should carry responsibility for this. Even Landen said she trusted her. Sure Al feels guilt, but she fooled everyone.

Been following this case all along...I was afraid to log in because I know I would have said things that would get me banned! I've been on websleuths since the Caylee Anthony case.
Watching the press conference, I cried, for Gannon and the parents. I am so mad right now that they don't have Gannon to bring home! Make her talk!
Not looking for sympathy whatsoever but I lost my son, he was diagnosed at the age of 11 to an inoperable brain stem tumor...he passed away at the age of 12, 11 months later. Gannon reminded me so much of him. That's why I've had to bite my tongue! Can't wait til she gets what she deserves!

But the "child abuse" part points to damage done before his death.

I think they've held off arresting her because they knew that she couldn't afford an attorney, and once they arrested her she'd be appointed one. She may have been advised by a lawyer to keep her mouth shut, but not officially. And thank God, because as annoying & mind boggling as her statements were, she was the gift that kept on giving and couldn't keep her mouth shut!

They gave her just enough leeway to move around & dig her hole deeper. I just hope that something she said or someone has the answer to where Gannon is!

These recent CO murders are the same in some way. Watts, Frazee, Stauch...thinking to solve a hard but common life problem with murder.
