we don't know the reason for the delay in her getting back to Colorado, although I would have given a lot to be in with those detectives, but there is a reason, maybe a flight delay, maybe she agreed to talk, maybe they made a deal with her, who knows......maybe she even agreed to ride with detectives to certain spots and not bringing her to the jail first kept the press from knowing what vehicle they were in and they couldn't follow......Im just ready for Gannon to be found.....
I would think the extradition process can be long, including arranging flights. I’m assuming more goes into the flights than booking on Priceline. Security of the airport and flight must be arranged by LE and the airport, which I would assume falls under the federal side. I just think it’s a long tedious process.

I feel the same way as you. I also want Landen and family to move on with grieving instead of waiting to lay him to rest. I live here and take the search route to Littleton so I'm well familiar with all the route details in her clues and their efforts.

We had our first snow the first week of Oct and it was deep. The ground froze early. Which is why I doubt she's dug anything. I drove the 105 2 days before he went missing and it was mostly dry ground though Palmer Lake was frozen over because I pulled over to make a call by the lake parking lot, recall noting people walking on it thinking that wasn't very smart.

Until just a few days ago, we had records snows topping 40" in some locations. They can't retrieve because it's too wintery.

My guess is she left his body somewhere in nature to make it look like an accident of the elements as a result of him running away. Injuries could be explained by being out and falling.
SSGAma, your post opened my mind to thought. Right now, the only remaining power TS has is revealing the location of Gannon's body. I realize it may me next to impossible, but making the decision to move on and heal without locating his body, may be wise. The idea is empowering because it gives the parents back the control.

If Gannon's body is to be found, it will be. Its possible that LE and the parents had this is discussion before the PC. No bargaining, no deals! I felt a sense of acceptance or finality about the conference.

** Again, I am not suggesting to cease searching for Gannon's body. However, I realize this as a strategy to disable the monster's control and ability to inflict anymore pain onto these parents.

Not only this but also if us amateurs can make out what we can on a non-enhanced version of this video I guarantee they have solid proof with their enhanced versions, which could explain how they can confidently charge her with murder due to child abuse.

As far as enhanced vs. non-enhanced versions, I didn’t necessarily mean they have any copies of the original video, unless they’re able to retrieve the original after it’s been deleted off her phone. I meant hopefully they have/have seen one of the many secondhand copies that have been reposted/shared online etc. but it’s possible the original has been destroyed and is irretrievable? Not sure?

Im not since its not his home and who knows if the owner is wanting to rent it again an he cant leave it there forever if he isn't gonna live there again!
If he isn't ever going to live there again I would expect to read that he was moving everything out of the house, not read that he was moving Gannon's belongings out of the house.

I'm way late to this conversation, but regarding cognitive dissonance, I want to share my experience.

I experienced this well into my 40s in my relationship with my mother. My husband could not understand how I was unable to trust my own childhood memories or my own thoughts and feelings in regards to interactions with my mother. Truly, it was only until I completely cut ties with her a few years ago that I have been able to reflect and see things clearly, including myself.

One's first sense of self comes from one's mother. And her perception is 100% trusted. A child is unable to think his / her mother is wrong because then the child's security is threatened. It is easier to believe your mother is right about you and think of yourself as she does, than to believe she is wrong.

With embarrassment and knowing how pathetic it sounds, I share with others what I call my "Pinocchio Moment," which happened just a few years ago. It was the amazing thought, "I'm a real girl!" not just a puppet made to serve another's purpose. I realized I was "real" and worth something - worthy of dignity and respect - allowed to have my own thoughts, opinions, feelings! It was an epiphany that was incredibly liberating and heartbreaking at the same time.

I see my mother, a little bit, in T. I was never in a situation just like this with her, thank God! But did I ever lie for her? Yes! Did I defend her when friends saw through her? Yep. Did I keep secrets for her? Sure did! Did I hide the reality of my life? You bet.

My fear of my mother, combined with a desperation for her love, might have led me to do anything she asked at 17. This is why I have nothing but compassion for T's bio-daughter. The damage done to a child raised by this sort of person is real. We think right vs. wrong is easy to decide. But when you are constantly taught that you are wrong... in fact you are a wrong... well, it's just not that simple to see beyond. There's no way to adequately explain it if you haven't lived it and through it to see clearly from the other side.

Now, this is not to say that I wouldn't hold her daughter to a higher standard with a few more years under her belt and out from under the influence of her mother. But at this point in time I pity her and hope she is shown compassion for any role she played. If anything, she needs help and healing.

Sorry, that was a looooong post. I hope I conveyed what I wanted to! This is something I talk about often in real life. I have lots to say about it.
Thank you for sharing this. We may have had the same mother :(

Or maybe they put her in the back of a pickup truck and she keeps blowing out into the woods.;)

Thank you for this. It made me smile at time when everything about this case causes tears.

Unless things have changed, she would be flying commercial with two members of LE. They’d also try to make it as inconspicuous as possible. Re: cuffs hidden in sleeves, transport belt hidden under shirt or jacket, etc. IF she flew, that is.

They most likely flew. It’s not uncommon for detectives to be “meeting” with her for hours prior to her being booked into jail.

Flew to pick her up yes, but drive back is a possibility. I'm liking that idea. I'm sure it was a bunch of LE folks, definitely at least one female to sit beside her. Maybe 2 or 3 other vehicles to ride interference, deal with food, rest stops etc. She'll be soaking up the attention and possibly be a blabbermouth.

I admittedly don't know too much about the capabilities of retrieving deleted materials but given other cases we've seen, I have a feeling LS wasn't smart enough to figure out how to delete them permanently?
Again, I say this without knowing how easy/ hard or possible it would be to do.

I doubt it’s an entirely accurate account. There may be some context missing. Like maybe the whole house is being packed up. I didn’t pack up my son’s room for months and even now, almost 10 years later, I still have a giant bin full of his stuffed animals. Lately, my husband keeps hinting we should donate them. I keep telling him where to shove it.
Most likely missing parts but I was posting about the way it is written, making it look as if just Gannon's belongings were being removed.

This is absolutely true. Child abuse is one of the toughest types of cases to prove and the rate of convictions in CO is very low, about 9% as quoted to me by a Family Law attorney.

My assumption is computer forensics from her devices combined with the video confession and measurable blood that IDs as Gannon's is certainly on the evidence list. The other area they searched on 105 is very industrial, with another dump.

After I watched the initial interview with Spencer, I wondered if she was involved in illegal drugs because her speech patterns, tones, inflections seemed erratic to me and I've witnessed that style of speaking on people under the influence, which led me to wonder if she owed a cartel as there is a lot of gang activity in CS and/or was hiding a relationship.

Just saw this clue:

Chanesse Jones on Twitter
If a pediatric specialist opined the child's injuries from the sound of his breath in the torture video, I imagine he would diagnose a seriously ill child. I'm not a pediiatric specialist but I was surprised the child was still alive in the morning from observing the original video and audion of the torture. The little boy could barely breathe, was terrified of his captor and was aware he needed to keep her calm which he did by agreeing with every word she said. He showed remarkable resilience in this I thought at the time.
An enhanced video available to a child specialist would have told a bigger story. That ss is from someone in one of the tee support groups. She likes to cite nefarious prison gan members' names while she is slating the police, like an outlaw would. That is another story that will surely unfold.

@gatorage ? Lol

ETA clarification that we’re wondering if LE will be able to retrieve a deleted video from TS’s phone and iCloud. I’m assuming she deleted the deleted items folder as well. But actually, I think a screenshot I saw of her phone indicated it might have been an Android - so this might be moot...

Is the El Paso Sheriff’s Office obligated to take TS straight from the Horry County Jail to the El Paso County Jail?

Or once back in CO, could they take her for a scenic drive around town and neighboring counties to specific areas of interest to activate the Tee-splain Machine?

jmo
LOL, I love the way you stated that.

@jbennett : Yes I'd mentioned possible specific injuries in thread # 25.
Only because she seemed to want to hide at least one side of his face.
And because she seems to be evil enough to do something like that.

I hated typing that because I wish if she killed him at least it was quick and painless.
The child abuse charges lead me to think LE uncovered some heinous and irrefutable proof.

So that leads me back to what was on her phone or what the daughter and Gannon's little sister saw and heard.
They both may be forever scarred by this for years to come.

We are here because this is a true crime sleuthing site.
And sometimes to learn and theorize about what mistakes the criminal made.
Digital evidence and security cams are the best "detectives" lately.

I wouldn't be surprised if some members here have aided LE in helping to nail a perp by emailing or calling in tips !

I think so too. She's one of those who might fire her attorney and be her own lawyer. She clearly believes she has the power to convince everyone that she's 1) not crazy and 2) isn't lying.

Her lawyer may find her so impossible to work with that he tries to get her declared unfit to stand trial (it will be denied, because she'll use her time in court to convince the Judge she's fine and she's a smarty pants).

I'm waiting patiently to see if she ends up with a Public Defender or whether she is contacted by any private criminal defense attorneys (who can get themselves paid via the State if she chooses one - it won't be a huge amount, but for some lawyers, it's bread and butter). I think she's playing dumb but that she's also really ignorant about many things and just doesn't know it yet. She may even be one of those who, after listening to her attorney, starts getting really interested in law and tries to run the case herself.

I wonder if she'll confess to her attorney. She certainly isn't going to make much sense to anyone, until she does.
To TS, as long as the tax payers of CO are footing the bill, she will drag this out as long as possible. Sparing no expense, heartbreak or humiliation.

Is it possible that she gave control of her Instagram, and other SM to someone else before her arrest so the crazy messages would keep being posted AFTER her arrest. She could then claim she was hacked weeks prior, and it wasn't her but the hacker posting all of the other videos, comments, and craziness that we all saw. Ugg.

ETA: I hope you all can follow what I was trying to say above, my brain is fried from over a month of this & most posts are starting to sound like they are in T-Speak!

A new petition on @Change proposing to have a street named after #GannonStauch. You’ll hear from the woman behind this idea on @FOX21News. I also spoke to the Stauch’s church. They are planning to have services held in honor of #Gannon, official announcements will be made later.
