My guess is she’s in Kansas because they actually drove back from S.C. They must have stopped for the night.

So she’s one state away. I imagine by tomorrow morning she’ll be booked in Colorado, and will be able to say “we’re not in Kansas anymore.
Holy cow CO is cheap - driving that whole way means at least two LE - wonder why they didn’t fly ?
Thanks for your media updates you are the twitter king

Here was the education. My mistake, Ed. D was Liberty and administration was Capella. And political science for undergrad and not criminal justice as I had stated

Means we’re missing a mugshot of her from somewhere. Wouldn’t want to cut her collection short.

I imagine she is strip searched and has to sit through booking at every jail they stop at. Which doesn’t sound like a fun process at all, so glad to hear it.
Interesting it didn’t come up anywhere in between. They either stopped covertly or drove straight through and stopped there for a reason. She wouldn’t have been alone with one person so two could easily drive 20 hours without a stop. Why stop when you are so close?

Has anyone followed a case like this, where they attempt to keep the affidavit sealed except to counsel? Are they typically successful?
I can only compare this to Dylan Redwine's murder in La Plata County, Colorado which occurred in 2012. Dylan's father was finally indicted and arrested in 2017. The affidavit and arrest warrant are still sealed the last time I checked. But the Indictment was unsealed quite some time ago.

I can just imagine one of them snapping: “if you don’t stop talking, we’re going to arrive in Colorado with one less person than we started with.”

Ha!

Well, unfortunately, they can't say that, because they've no doubt been instructed to let her yammer away to her heart's content.

Here's what I imagine the thought bubbles in their heads look like as they're listening to her incessant nattering:

IMO I think her undoing will be when she enters the route to the El Paso County jail and sees all of the beautiful blue tributes to Gannon! I would love to be in the car when THAT journey begins!
I do wonder if she will feel a thing if she is still hanging on to her self righteousness. Anyone who could abuse and murder a child is entirely a different breed of human.

Great question!!! This is actually kind OSs a multi-parter, but to give you the gist:

Depending on how the media is stored, it’s entirely possible that she had a video and then destroyed her phone. But just like a computer hard drive, there’s almost no such thing as “leave no trace” in the data world, especially with the way extremely physically small hard drives (like the one in your phone) is partitioned. Think of the phone as a computer, and the hard drive as a pie chart. Let’s say that it only saved to photos/video and her phone doesn’t have cloud backup enabled and/or never connects to the internet again.

When you delete something, it leaves a tiny mark behind, like trace evidence. Let’s say it went into the recycling bin and you emptied that. You’ve moved it from at least 2 partitions, or pie pieces, of your hard drive. Maybe it’s not physically there anymore, either. But you’ve dragged it across 2 places, and you’re leaving trace evidence everywhere you go.

There’s also cache, or temporary files, that are saved automatically. If you have certain applications that will upload photos/video to another place (like Facebook will accept a video you’ve recorded yourself, and then make it small enough and fix it so it works on their application). When you select something like “Allow Facebook access to edit files”, you’re giving it permission to “sniff”, or constantly scan, for files. So it may have a small chunk of that video, or it may have the whole thing compressed. If you use Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, same thing.

Let’s talk about the cloud for a hot second. The cloud is great! All hail the cloud! Just kidding. But! It can catch you doing some stuff, and fortunately, there are laws that allow LE to request Preservation, or “save everything that this person is uploading/currently has uploaded, don’t let them delete anything “.

Remember what I said about cache? Cloud backup usually works off of a cache file, a temporary backup, basically. Most companies set an amount of time to cache something. Have you ever used “Undo delete” on a document? That’s cache. Let’s say it’s 24 hours. So LE gets a preservation warrant and sends it to a company requesting cloud data and preservation. That’s very standard in missing endangered cases. Not only can that company save everything that’s on there when they get it, but they can also roll that clock back 24 hours to grab anything that’s been deleted from the cloud by the user and add that to the preservation file. Now LE has the past 24 hours of photos/videos/emails/etc.

In this case, let’s say LE gets a Preservation warrant on Monday the 2nd at 12pm. This goes to tech, who not only preserves what they have currently and going forward, but can preserve anything that went in or out from Sunday at 12:01pm.

Can anyone link pictures of T’s phone/watch? If I could see it, I may be able to provide general info on what they do. It wouldn’t make much sense for her to have an Apple Watch with an Android, because the watch has to be set up with an iPhone, and it works in tandem with it. T is dumb as a bag of hammers, though, so anything’s possible!

Sorry I haven’t been on, I’ve been spending time with the family. Hearing that G was presumed deceased hit me in a way other cases had not, and the press conference was so emotional. I just needed to take some mental health time. I’m back and ready to go, I’m super behind, but am cracking a cold Tank 7 and trying to catch up!!! Love y’all!
So glad you are back :)

She didn't need a PhD to teach anywhere but that's what she submitted in her applications, and it was accepted in both states.

I agree that it's actually theoretically possible that she totally fabricated a PhD and 2 different state BoEs totally dropped the ball and never did any verification of her degree, I just think that it's unlikely. It seems more likely that she really does have that degree, especially because her CO license application would've gone under extra scrutiny considering her criminal history and state teaching licensure disciplinary history.
Is there a link to her application in both states?
I am only asking because I have only read this stuff coming from her. I may have missed posts. I also thought that she lied about her teaching here in Colorado.

There is a LOT of rumors being posted (im not saying from you - in general) and info that only came from TS. I personally am trying to dig thru the rumors/lies to get to the truth.

Despite Letecia Stauch’s personal information on her social media profiles saying she’s employed as a “curriculum developer” at School District 49, she does not and has never worked for the Peyton-based district, said spokesman David Nancarrow.
Personal information promoted by Letecia Stauch, arrested in death of stepson, refuted by local school district

I don’t think AS has moved. Media has been camped outside his house night and day for over a month. These posts regarding the vacated house are assumptions based on real estate websites and gossip on FB.

For now, it is still an active crime scene. I don't think that house will be available to rent until after the trial. She has the right to examine evidence and potentially have the jury walkthrough.

Possible crime committed in KS? Are they charging her for it?

IDK, JMVHO.

Good Luck with that. It's going to be a big job.

I've read so much from so many places over the last few weeks that I can't remember what I read and from where. For a while there I was afraid to post because I had actually lost track of what was real and what was rumour.

At times I'm still not sure.

*Speculation Only:

They didn't fly because they want to give TS plenty of time and opportunity to keep running her mouth.

I don't think the transportation decision was driven by any budgetary considerations whatsoever.

I'm convinced it was a calculated move.

Somebody's nailed her personality profile.
Absolutely nailed it.

They know all her weaknesses, the biggest of course being her inability to keep her yap shut.
They also know her lawyer is going to shut her up as soon as she rolls into CO.

This move by LE was freaking genius.
I'd love to know who made this call.

JMO.

Thank you! I honestly wasn't sure.

Not sure if this has been posted yet or not but I’m pretty sure it hasn’t...

Letecia Stauch en route to Colorado Springs after extradition hearing

The Saline County Sheriff’s Office in Kansasconfirmed that Letecia Stauch is spending the night in their jail. She will then be transported in the morning heading to the Criminal Justice Center in El Paso County. They would not say what time in the morning that she would be making her way to Colorado. She was booked into Saline County Jail at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday.

ETA: I was a few posts behind. My bad!
She making the whole tour. Lucky girl! :D

My Android backs up my photos and videos.

It's possible to permanently delete the backups too. I just wanted to confirm whether LE can still retrieve them even then. :)
