...
LS/TS explained that on Sunday, she took GS and his younger sister hiking at the Garden of the Gods Park. Afterward, they stopped by to eat at Burger King, she said. GS reportedly did not attend school the following day.
...

Was this something she did often? Hiking with my dogs is hard enough, I can’t imagine taking 2 or 3 little kids along too. I wonder if she wasn’t planning on pushing him off cliff on Sunday and making it look like an accident, but chickened out and decided to wait til she had no witnesses. Sort of like a Hollywood scout, scouting the location.

One video I saw of the two little kids and TS sitting on the edge of what looked like a high cliff, Gannon looked so nervous, like someone was telling him to stay there for photo but he was trying to squirm back slowly off the edge. There was no sound.

This is directly from EPSCO in their arrest press release:

Arrest Made in Gannon Stauch Case
Thx for this. Major crimes coming on board Jan 28th makes me think that as soon as AS arrived he knew something was very wrong with T's version of events, he shared those concerns with LE. She probably slipped away in the rental car before they had her under surveillance. But after she reappeared, they had probably been watching her since. JMO

6:55pm LS called the police. She arrived home at 2:19 that is just under 5 hours for him to have been in the back of the truck and for her to get rid of him so to speak after the girls came home from school.

Do we know she called from home, or while driving? There was no mention of this call on the police blotter, btw. ( edit- I will say IMO- as the blotter no longer goes back to 1/27. ) LE did not show up until 10pm, due to call volume

That’s one of the biggest reasons why I thought this was foul play. Law enforcement was calling him a runway, but they never behaved as if they believed that.

I think we all knew the 'this is not a criminal investigation' statement was complete BS the entire time. But that's the best 'gray area' statement they could release at the time while they pieced together their investigation for the final checkmate of stepmonster.

I originally held to the idea of this being an 'accident' that went wrong, but now after the employment firing and rumors of divorce prior to Gannon missing, I really do wonder if this whole thing was 100% pre-meditated similar to the Patrick Frazee case. I have a strong feeling that LS will fight this until the end (similar to Frazee), so we'll get all the details during or before the trial. I don't see 'plea bargain' written on the chalkboard for this chick.

Had this entire thing been premeditated, then I wouldn’t have expected blood to be found in the house. I also wouldn’t expect her to commit this crime in broad daylight, and allow herself such a small amount of time with which to work.

So personally, I think the premeditation aspect was the murder itself, but the reason for the murder was a prior act of abuse.

I agree, I don’t see a plea deal even being offered, much less her accepting one. I think this goes the distance.

In referring to the body of the homeless man found today: Regardless stop and say a prayer for this person who is gone from this earth! I am sorry for this person and for the loss for this particular family! I will hit the pause to reflect on your family's sadness......I urge us to remember that we are a compassionate group and when we come across things not related to our particular sleuthing that we may recognize that others may be suffering their own losses that have nothing to do with us! Again prayers for this family as we continue to search for Gannon! No loss of life is without a profound sadness and a reflection of all of those affected by that loss! I am sorry if I am on a bit of a soapbox but I never want to gloss over a loss of a person just because it wasn't the loss we were expecting! May Gannon be found and may the person found today be given back to those who love them! I was concerned that this loss was trivialized and I was determined to make it known that it was not. This is my opinion and these are my words only! End of this stream for me as I have spoken my peace as I know it! Thank you for listening!

@10ofRods You did a good job gathering those facts.

QUESTION: Was Tuesday, 1/28/20, TS's last day living in that house?
QUESTION: Was Sunday, 2/2/20 the day RD's video was viewed by AS?

My thought: If Tuesday 1/28/20 was TS's last day in that house, then it wasn't AS's reaction to the video that caused TS to leave. Maybe leaving was TS's temper tantrum over AS allowing LH to stay at the house.

Or TS's need not to answer questions posed by both AS and LH.

Food for thought. Remember Ted Bundt and how everyone said he was so charming. AS was with her for years and Bio mom says she even trusted her. I saw glimpses of this charm in Kansas and CO courts. I imagine most of the time she

So they put that out there right away, just in case it was true. Meanwhile, it appears they knew something was very wrong here.

She apparently reported to them that he ran away, and I would imagine she showed them that Google search as well.

What Google search? Sorry, I missed that. Did TS have Gannon’s cell phone?

This article was dated 1/29.. no actual date when MCU was " officially" handed this: Sheriff's Office Asks for Assistance in Locating a Juvenile
The slogan on many of the posters for missing boy, Gannon Stauch, is "Leave no stone unturned." The search for the boy intensified over the weekend with searchers using everything from drones to horses to search the area. At 2 p.m. on Sunday, the decision was made to move Incident Command from the Restoration Church near Lorson Ranch to the Sheriff's Office Training Facility at 2743 E. Las Vegas Street.

A box of tissues sits on the sidewalk full of messages and in front of a large sign to "Pray for Gannon" at the entrance for Lorson Ranch on Sunday, Feb. 2, 2020. Searchers spent the weekend combing the surrounding areas of Lorson Ranch in hopes of finding Gannon or possibly clues to his disappearance.

- Gannon was reportedly last seen Jan. 27 by his stepmother, Letecia Stauch, who told investigators the boy left for a friend’s house between 3:15 and 4 p.m. and didn't return home.

- Gannon is 4'9" with brown hair and brown eyes and weighs 90 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue jacket and jeans.

- Gannon did not attend school the day he disappeared, according to law enforcement officials. Gannon attends an elementary school in the Widefield School District, a spokeswoman for the school told The Gazette

The Sheriff's Office's Major Crimes Unit was called in to assist with the case on Jan. 28. Before then, Gannon was classified as a runaway.

- In an interview with The Gazette, Gannon's great aunt, Veronica Birkenstock, characterized the boy as "a very loving child. Disappearing is totally out of his character; he always has to be with somebody." She added that Gannon was a born a low-birth weight "micropreemie."

            • - Landen Hiott, Gannon's biological mother, arrived in Colorado Springs from South Carolina late on the evening of Jan. 28 and spent the night talking to law enforcement, Birkenstock said.

              - Gannon's father, Albert Stauch, is a member of the Colorado Springs-based Colorado Army National Guard 100th Missile Defense Brigade, the Guard confirmed to The Gazette. The boy's father was away on military training at the time of the disappearance, Birkenstock said. The Guard would not confirm this detail.

              - Albert and Hiott, share custody of the boy, Birkenstock said.

Gannon's status wasupgraded to a missing endangered child on Jan. 30 due to his age, need for medication, winter weather and the length of time he's been missing.

              - An initial report that the boy was last seen at the 🤬🤬🤬 & Go on Mesa Ridge Parkway near Fountain was incorrect, according to the Sheriff's Office. Upon reviewing surveillance footage the day after he was reported missing, Gannon's stepmother said the boy suspected to be Gannon was not him, according to law enforcement officials.

              - In a Jan. 31 interview with Gazette news partner KKTV, Letecia claimed she was initially denied her request for a lawyer by Sheriff's Office detectives.

              - Letecia also said that her 17-year-old daughter was briefly put in handcuffs when detectives pulled over their vehicle Jan. 30. She claims deputies had guns drawn and told her they were going to shoot her without identifying themselves as law enforcement officers. A spokeswoman for the sheriff's office would not comment on the claims, citing the ongoing investigation.

              - Foul play is not suspected, and the investigation is not a criminal one, investigators said.

Dan May visited Gannon's home. Authorities quickly squelched speculation criminal charges are imminent.

              - The Sheriff's Office's Crime Lab has been present at Gannon's home on multiple occasions as "evidence is collected and processed," according to the agency.

              - On Feb. 7, a “remote-operated vehicle with sonar and video” was used to look for evidence in a small pond near the boy’s home.

Yes, me too. Once I saw her initial interview, in which every single element screamed "She did it!", I couldn't help but check into MSM and WS multiple times per day as I expected her arrest to be imminent.

For me, the concerns were immediate that this was foul play.

That initial "runaway" characterization never, ever made any sense to me.

For LE to make the leap that GS was a runaway when he was purportedly last seen heading over to "a friend's house" was inexplicable.

The account sounded horribly, horribly "off" from the very beginning.

This hag thinks she's so clever.

Frazee thought the same thing.

Do we know for sure that TS carried some long bag to the truck that she did not return with!? Last night is that first I’ve heard mention of that. The video is way to dark to see anything imo and wouldn’t Rodney be talking about that if true? Gun bag??? Any guns missing?

Its easily visible in the video. She has it when she walks around the front of the truck to back it in at the beginning of the video. Its long bag - with some weight, could be a lot of things. Could be a rifle or some golf irons etc.

I literally just took the time from the timeline posted on this thread. It states LE called at 6:55pm Monday and then says LE turned up Tuesday night around 10pm with flashlights and searched the backyard.

This flows from a post awhile back saying another civilian had said someone in LE told him/her. I haven’t read or seen a media report that LE said on or off the record to be foul play. That’s not the same as saying I don’t think people in LE talk. But no, I don’t think members of law enforcement are free to discuss active cases as they please. Of course there are restrictions, or the press wouldn’t refrain from reporting the info when they get a tidbit.
Practically, I think anyone paying attention knew it was a foul play case.

I've posted the link (it's here on WS) but I am going to let it go. Of course people knew it was foul play - I'm just trying to speak about strategy and suspect management.

LS went to SC while an active suspect That's my point. Just saying

She had no way of knowing they wouldn't show up for 3 hours. Whatever she wanted done (hiding evidence, cleaning, deleting videos, pictures) had to be done by the time she made the call, IMO.

Tecia reported Stauch missing around 6:55 Monday, January 27 - telling officials he was last seen between 3:00 and 4:00 p.m before he left for a friend's house.

Few details have been released about the ongoing investigation into Stauch's disappearance, with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office only saying that deputies are continuing search efforts based on tips.

Wednesday, the sheriff's office said people were searching in the northern area of El Paso County and southern portion of Douglas County. That includes areas near Palmer Lake.

"There’s everything out there when you’re talking about wildlife. There’s lots of places to hide. It’s rural, it’s rough. And you don’t see a lot of people." said Linnea Shamash, who lives across from one search area a couple miles north of Palmer Lake off highway 105. "You could be out there for hours and hours and not see one person," she said.

<modsnip: quoted post was removed as unrelated to response>

That video of Gannon playing his video game brought the biggest smile to my face. This sweet boy was trying to be a kid and enjoy his young life until TS tried to destroy everything:mad: You didn’t win TS, Gannon is flying high with the angels and resting in the arms of his Heavenly Father. While you on the other hand, are going to have a long long time to think about what you’ve done. It’s not too late, please give these parents a little relief by telling where he can be found.
