Her pattern has been to explain/presplain everything that could be incriminating. What I take from her not going on about it is that she must not feel the need to either explain/presplain anything about it. Probably made stops there just to prove she was "out shopping" and running errands...

Or - it could be that there is something significant and incriminating about the stops but she doesn't feel LE knows that significance yet, thus - no need to explain, yet.

A thought just occurred to me: maybe she really did run into Petco just to take advantage of the deals. Think about it: she's thinking she wants to have some proof she's just out shopping, knew Petco was having a sale on those coats, yeah... "I'll run in and pick those up".... while poor Gannon is succumbing to the Benadryl or whatever she gave him to knock him out.

The more I hear her talk, the more I'm convinced she could in fact be just that heartless and inhuman. Stepson dying in the car - great opportunity to run by and pick up those coats on sale!

Yup, I thought the same thing as I listened to that part. She made a HUGE deal about being the one to tell LE that she went there & they wouldn't have know if she didn't tell them because she didn't have her phone. *As if we didn't already know why she intentionally left her phone at home, she tells us again in the conversation!

Oh the other thing that struck me is how little she spoke of GS or concern for him. Whenever I've interacted with the loved ones of a missing person, they're always eager to talk about them. They tell stories about the missing person. Even more stoic people express concern about the MP's wellbeing and whereabouts. Stuff like... "I'm worried that he's scared and hurt somewhere out there right now."

She doesn't do any of that.

I'm not talking about a lack of emotion, I'm talking about a lack of basic curiosity in what happened to this child, and a lack of wanting people to know who he is.
