She appears medicated as her eyes are glazed.

Just my observation.

I am thinking maybe. But she had enough in her to give the middle finger salute while sitting there

I have a big cold right now, and am not arguing this point tonight.
And for everyone who is sick with a big cold, local health department (I called) indicates a very high fever (104 - adults) is tell tale difference bw Coronavirus and cold.

My thought on the 'unknowingly'. I think she left him incapacitated somewhere KNOWING he would die, but was alive when left. Thus she could honestly say he was alive last time she saw him. Then she went back and moved/hid after she had been 'caught up' in all her lies. Always a 'little bit' of truth in her statements.

That act is not going to work. Be filthy. No one cares. Meanwhile, check out her finger:

Yes, I know. I understand the charge. I just don't think she 'planned' in advance to kill him to cover up the fact that she abused him or because he was going to tell on her or for any other reason. That's what I was responding to.

I think she abused and neglected him and he died as a result. She may have avoided taking him to a hospital because she didn't want anyone to discover his injuries, but I still do not believe that she made a plan to kill him in advance which is what I thought the OP suggested.

Imo
But why did she take him in the truck if not to kill him after what she’d done? I don’t believe she drove around with him and he died while she shopped dog coats.

Yep, that is true. She is probably not with the general population and on a different "floor" or "pod" where she can't shower around other inmates.

She may even be in a special cell. They are not going to readily medicate her, but padded cells are a thing (at least at some intake jails, the person inside is usually seen by the jail psychiatrist as well).

I doubt she's allowed anywhere near a pod setting (the liability would be tremendous now that EPCS knows she's capable of attacking people around her).

Now that she's settling into jail life (it's only been what, 2-3 days?) she'll get trips to the shower. The ones they use at the jail where I work the most are all concrete with no privacy and a guard stands on the other side of a wall that's about chest high while the person showers. It's like a pod, but it's one person at a time when the person is danger to others. Same thing in the psych ward.

Is there a way to watch this presser with the DA after the fact ??
I have been trying to find it but since it is NOT live anymore, I am unable to view it. UGH
I rushed home from work, but didn't get here in time.
Darn work, anyway LOL

it’s on KKTV 11 News Facebook page. Sorry don’t know how to link it

in the nancy grace podcast shared earlier in this thread, leigh said that TS would call her thru an email phone (i’m assuming like the one you can use with gmail) and that leigh never got a telephone number for her, it was all TS sporadically calling her.

i’m curious in a search warrant, “wire tap”, etc. if this type of email call is able to be intercepted ?

has anyone here seen this (gmail call able to be collected) on a previous case ?

Yeah, that's what I thought he meant by 'knowing.' I wasn't sure because I only read that one sentence. Yes, even though it can only take a moment (such as throwing a young child against the wall in a fit of rage) it is the intent to injure and knowing that action can result in death that is a factor.

We know something must have happened on Sunday night, maybe even as early as Saturday, and TS had plenty of time to take action to save his life.

Imo

Agreed--but she knowingly killed him. This charge, IMO, doesn't mean they do not believe she planned his murder--only that they cannot prove what was going through that wicked mind (or for how long she contemplated it).

LS, chained and cuffed, goes back to the cell block.

Everybody else goes home.

First Degree Murder charge, to me, simply means she killed him.

She is charged with murdering Gannon. Not by accident. Not involuntary.

Willfully, Knowingly, Murdered him.

Then hid his body, or destroyed it.

If child abuse charges imply a length of time it makes you wonder whether anyone around her has culpability in a failure to report.

Not these days. It's unprofessional. I do think the smiling is a way of signaling to their client that things are peachy and would she please not try to kill everyone in the room. It's fun being in court! Keep calm and rock on.
Let me say this, I’m glad this wasn’t delayed due to cold.

I have a question regarding jail—-can they use technology at this juncture?

DA seems highly competent as well as confident! And secure in his belief that all the mountains of evidence they have will nail her to the wall. I really liked him!
