Bringing this forward
PLEASE READ:

The Saturday night video originally posted by TS on her social media is still off limits due to her social media having been removed. (So that includes candles and carpets and anything at all that members may recall from that video.) Just don't mention it or the post will be removed.

Members may discuss the DWAP youtube phone interview with TS but may not comment on either DWAP himself or the interviewer. Only discuss what TS said in that phone interview. As TS herself brought Petco into this particular phone interview, you may now discuss and speculate re Petco as it relates to what she says in the phone call, but not what may be floating around in social media rumor-land.

Stick to MSM or WS approved sources. If in doubt, check with a Mod or Admin before posting so we can avoid unreliable sources and misinformation.

Crime Online is an approved source at WS; True Crime society is not.

No rudeness or personalizing, no name calling or ridiculing other members for their opinion.

Nicknames or derogatory name changes of any of the major case players is not allowed.

There’s over 1000 pages of discovery. That’s a lot. I can’t wait to see it. But it also makes me wonder if there’s so much because they don’t have any really damning slam dunk stuff. Will it all be circumstantial evidence. Is that why there’s mountains of it. Why haven’t they found his body yet, when they said at arrest presser they were getting close and narrowing the search.

To me the most damning thing of all is the fact that Al either kicked her out, or she fled, very early on. That speaks volumes. How soon did that take place tho. If not on Day 1, then maybe the 2 daughters didn’t have anything important to tell. Dad would have asked then either on phone or in person almost immediately, What happened? Where’s your brother? Etc. Maybe they couldn’t talk tho if she was looming nearby. It seems like she vacated the place pretty quickly tho. Most people wouldn’t just come home, accuse their spouse of killing their kid, and kick them out right away unless they had really good evidence. That kind of stuff they can’t take back.

It took Kyron Horman’s dad a while to kick Terri out, they never found a body, and she was never tried for anything.

I think in this case tho they have solid prove that a murder occurred, I just wonder in what form.
So much of that has to be cameras and pings.

Prosecutors don't say some one one dead and lay charges with out having physical evidence that a medical expert certifies that the person could not have lived. Brain matter, spinal fluid, blood loss etc.

There are 3 basic defense strategies:
Someone else did it.
Mitigating factors
Process unfair

We will see these soon.

<modsnip: quoted post was removed>

At this point in sleuthing (or any LE endeavor) there are better heads than ours considering different possible scenarios. If in fact LS left her phone at home as claimed, then perhaps that gives a lie to other statement about taking a selfie in the truck as they were living (apparently). There are definitely LE people who are keeping track of her ambiguous, potentially contradictory statements. So can we. No one should rest a whole case on the fact that a suspect is lying.

But it is relevant and notable.

I don't know what else her phone-leaving is associated with (or even if it's true), but it's interesting that she pre-splains it. Then says she was tracked by her watch.

Aside from the changing story, there is an anticipation that eventually we'll know whether she took her phone the next day. We can hypothesize about that too. If in fact the DA has evidence that she's leaving her phone turned off or unavailable on Jan 27 and 28, don't you think they'll use that at the preliminary hearing? I know I would, if I were the prosecution.

Thank you :) I see Verizon on the witness list, which could of been their plans, but she could of possibly all ready owned a pre-paid Verizon phone also. She could of easily bought a card from 7/11, 🤬🤬🤬 & go or any gas station.
yes! Or GreenDot - also on the list

The lying liar is the one that told us about the phone being left home on Monday, so we don't even know if that's a fact.

Anyway, people have been travelling in cars for a 100 years without phones successfully, even with kids in school and with sick kids. Sometimes it's just not worth it to go back for a number of legitimate reasons. Sometimes people leave phones home intentionally (gasp!). That does not make them guilty of anything.

Was it innocent in this case? Probably not, she appears guilty as sin, but still doesn't make it a fact... yet.

You have to be on call for kids in school. Parents and schools take that seriously.

Honest question. In the Websleuths rules, it says we can paraphrase social media posts by someone who is a POI, such as LS. What if a topic came up from a LS post on SM? It says we can't talk about SM rumors posted by COMMENTERS on those same social media posts, which I haven't seen anybody do. I've only seen people *barely* paraphrase LS's post about it... and mostly seen people do their own speculating about it without mentioning SM at all. Is this not allowed? It seems to me nobody is breaking the rules, but I could be wrong!
This case has been tricky with what can and cannot be discussed IMO and I completely understand why. I can’t quote it because the thread is closed, so I am copying and pasting what @sillybilly says in Thread #33 :

As with all officially named POIs/suspects, their social media is sleuthable. The problem in this case is that at some point TS closed down her social media so it was no longer sleuthable, and whatever was known to be on it before she closed it down could no longer be sleuthed.

Some of the info from her social media was being discussed when it was not allowed to be as she was not officially a POI/suspect at that time. So the knowledge related to certain aspects originally was brought to WS in an unauthorized fashion.

It's like when a judge tells a jury something they've already heard in the courtroom. Some WSers may know what they read or saw, others may not have read it or seen it ... but when it is not able to be substantiated directly from the source, we have to file it away and not rely on it for discussion.

Giggles too. Burner activation? Requires ID. Who bought the burner?

Burner phones don't need an ID, at least the few prepaids I had a few years ago, just an email address. Also paid in cash, but didn't kill anybody, at least that I could remember.

Context is everything.

If TS didn't have her phone with her on Tuesday while she was driving that rental, it raises all kinds of red flags.

If she left their house without her phone at any point on Tuesday, there is no innocent explanation.

Her 11-year-old stepson was missing. LE had been alerted. A missing person's report had been filed.

There is no circumstance under which it would be "normal" for a parent not to have their phone on their personage at all times on the day after their 11-year-old stepson "ran away."

JMO.
I don't recall anything about not having her phone on Tuesday, is that something new? She would have needed to communicate with AS at the airport, IMO.

Thanks for bringing Sillybilly's post about TS's SM being removed. It's clear to me that members shouldn't take things from her SM and bring it here at this time because it's been closed and can't be linked.

Only MSM and other specifically approved sources should be used. JMO.

Oh my is that ever a clever thought. Wow!

Yeah maybe she did. Look at witness list. There’s a pre-paid company on there. Maybe credit card or something. I don’t remember. Either way, she was aware of the pre-paid / untraceable angle.

So, I look at the phone being left at home from a completely different angle.

It is one fact in the case. It is one piece in a very large puzzle.

TS has been arrested and charged with the murder of GS.

The prosecution has over 1,000 pages of discovery evidence so far.

TS and GS are seen on video leaving in the truck on Monday morning.

TS is seen returning alone on Monday afternoon.

In light of all the known facts, the most logical explanation for TS not having her phone with her during that trip is that she didn't want the phone, i.e., her digital footprints, to be tracked.

It's not just good sleuthing to reach that conclusion:

It's good use of critical thinking skills.

JMO.

Good points, but is it out of the realm of possibility that she sometimes left her phone at home? Unlikely and improbable, knowing what we know of her, but possible. I know many people that don't carry their phones around, it's not always nefarious. At this point we're all just taking educated guesses.

Using it as a piece of the puzzle is good, but it is absolutely not good sleuthing to base further conclusions upon it as if it's a fact. Currently it is not a fact. IMO MOO etc etc

Unfortunately TS didn’t spend anytime looking for G-Man. TS fess up!

No, that's why schools typically have multiple emergency contacts, both mobile and land lines if available, at least in my area.

I implore TS family, this can all stop today. Outcomes never change. Be brave.

Ok, you got me confused, what does that have to do with someone saying she didn't have her phone on Tuesday? I just wanted to know if there was something new to prove that.

MOO changing her story so many times is highly relevant.

When did you first realize you left your phone at home?

With a child in kindetgarten and a sick kid with you why didn't you go back for it?

When did she call the Dr office/ nurse line? What phone did she use? MOO
