Doesn't Green Dot require an account sign up? And doesn't it require a fee per month, taken out of some form of account?

They seem to be operating under US banking regulations. Their ToS says you must present a valid government-issued ID.

https://www.greendot.com/content/dam/greendot/legal/about/docs/gdunlimited3daa.pdf

Money laundering and drug purchases are not going to be as easy as some think. If one takes cash to Green Dot, Green Dot still has to open an account, following federal regs (and their own ToS amply provides for the usual banking info to be collected).

Of course, it's possible that LS is also into identity theft, we don't know.

I still want to know how a person can get a plan with any cellular carrier without providing some form of ID. Or IP.
@10ofRods You are sharp!
Reloadable debit cards require an account and ID. But Green Dot also sells unreloadable cards (visa gift cards) as well, and they don't require an ID.

Which is why "gift cards" are a major way that illicit activity is undertaken. I bet Green Dot has cameras, though. ;)

When a Green Dot type place comes into your neighborhood, you can be sure the local drug crowd won't be far behind. And I'm not talking cannabis (in CO). Do they do paycheck loans too, I wonder?

If in fact LS went into a Green Dot and used cash to buy gift cards, which she then used for a car wash or to gas up, LE has to be all over it. Further, you can't rent from Budget or Enterprise with a gift card. I don't think you can use a pre-paid card either (because they need to be able to put massive charges on the card if you violate ToS and mess up the car).

Anyway, what better evidence could TS hand them of pre-meditation if she did in fact buy gift cards. LE must be chomping at the bit to put one of their own on the stand to talk about that method of disguising a trail. They have her digital footprint, so they know where she stopped for gas and have the video of that too. That probably led them to the Green Dot card.

What a stupid amount of time she put into masking her crimes. This was not the first time she'd thought about such things and probably not the first time she's been sneaky. When we know her full employment history, we'll see that she was scamming AS. I bet there was no $180,000 annual income. I bet she has lots of debt.

I wonder when AS found out she wasn't working...

Is there footage of her loading the truck that Monday morning? I've only seen the footage of her and Gannon getting in the truck and her coming home without him

Thanks
Good question. ^^^
There's also some surveillance footage before Gannon walked to the truck, where she's carrying a long duffle bag or maybe two items.
There was a small collection of night time stills; and someone said it appeared the truck was backed up to or even inside the garage.
I will try to go and find it; it was a few threads back.
But no, I don't know.

Thanks so much. I know there was lots of social media speculation that the truck was loaded Sunday night. I wasn't sure if it was confirmed and if missed it. I did see she seemed to be carrying a backpack on the Monday. I'd appreciate if you or any other sleuthers have those images from the night before

I think she means Albert was the disciplinarian in the family. I don't think we can determine anything beyond that from her quote. Even at that, we're relying on the word of a seemingly not very bright occasional babysitter.

The phrases: to be "gotten onto," and to "get onto" come from a dustbowl era plainspeak dialect.

It means "to get yelled at," and "to yell at," respectively. Verbal.

To "get a beating," to "get beat," to "beat," or to "give a beating" all refer to "spanking." Physical.

Fun fact: plainspeakers are empirically honest and trustworthy. Not dumb. The fact that a plainspeaker babysitter allegedly said this is to bring credibility to TS' claim that she "would never ever hurt this child."

So, if the babysitter really said these, why do they follow TS' speech pattern?

MOO: My algorithms say TS wrote the script or impersonated the babysitter.

I am with you 100%. I wake up thinking about a child I've never met, and hopeful each day that I wake to the news that his family can lay him to rest.
The last case that got me like this was Elaina Steinfurth. I had to take a very big step back from the forums after that.
I often wonder about my sanity and the way I invest in these cases and wonder if I am a morbid horrible person, but I really think that I struggle to reconcile a mother and the ability to murder a child that the curious side of my personality takes over and the need to know just how these people walk among us supersedes the details that we learn along the way.
GANNON is my hero!
MOO why are we here? I think we come here from all different backgrounds, we want justice, we want to help LE, w/o getting in their way, but JMOyou are right, so many of the perpetrators are just your ordinary neighbors, business associates, etc, we want to become proficient at spotting a tragedy, before it happens, we want to be that citizen on the ground who says or does something to helpMOO. One thing to note here, is the number of moves, Gannon’s family had made. Takes time to interact w/ new neighbors...MOO Most people/neighbors, are reluctant to report strange actions by neighbors, first you have to convince yourself, especially if it really abnormal. IMO the more we follow these cases, the shorter that grace period, the more people in forums like this, the better the chance we have to prevent future tragedies...and sometimes some little thing does slip thru the cracks. I find it helps me to see that all those little things have been evaluated. MOO Justice for Gannon!

This is what I could find; I think there might be a fuller copy somewhere.
It might be in the Media/Timeline thread for this case as well.

That's interesting. Yeah, it's the wrong era dialect for that babysitter (is she originally from Kansas or OK I wonder?)

Both sides of my family came out of the dustbowl, and while I agree that plainspeaking is the way they spoke, it in no way meant that someone was trustworthy. My crazy aunt (the one whose personality resembles LS's) spoke that way too. She was a smart but cagey woman (who could be vicious verbally, rarely physically though).

I think the babysitter was on video, but can't remember for sure. My parents never would have used the word "beat" no matter how the "spanking" went, btw. They used "come down on someone" to mean a variety of negative effects for the object of the come-down.

My dad used "give a skinning" not "get a beating." He also said "wail the tar out of." My mom and grandma, appropriately, said "get a switch on."

Anyway, I'm thinking babysitter introduced the idea of physical punishment in her phrasing. I am biting my tongue enough now, I better stop.

This is so informative...I have so little knowledge of any of these transactions...MOO Letecia had vast experience in all of this sort of non paper trail, all her different name variations, she has been doing all this for years, MOO, one thing she does not do, however, keep current on anything she has studied, you really do have to keep up w/ technology...I want to know divorce settlement in first marriage, exactly how he died? I believe he died shortly before Letecia married AS, what changed, life insurance policies. Justice for Gamnon!

Re. the rest of your post... holy cow.
Agreed --as I have suspicions as to whether TS has any crimes that she's hidden.
Seems like the murder of a CHILD is a lot, for this to be her one and only crime, ever !
There are just some people who should not be walking freely with the rest of us; and TS is one of them ! Imo.

I use a prepaid phone. I just bought the phone and activated it at home. I didn't have to provide any information other than my zip code. No name, no address, etc.

Do we have confirmation that it was the rental she took to the car wash? Could have been Al's truck. Either way, it would make sense that she's trying to get rid of trace evidence left by whatever her activities were.

We don't know that she took ANY car to the Carwash. She could have stopped to throw stuff away. She could have been caught on camera. She could have stopped for the vacuum or air. She could have stopped to buy the wipes or whatnot from the machine. MOO

  • #596
Yes, and I feel as though she would have gotten rid of him before she went on the long journey to establish her alibi.
Except IF she thought he would be found fairly quickly, she wouldn't want him found before she was back home. (I believe it is possible she stopped somewhere to move him from the cab to the back until she could find a better place. MOO

THOSE images just gave me the creeps. Sickening to think that TS may have been "preparing" whatever the heck she was preparing, the NIGHT before
Just going about her business...

And again, I heed the warning we've heard many times, that once we see the evidence against her and truly discover what happened to Gannon, we will never un-see it :(

I didn't mean to imply that Green Dot is a convenience store. Green Dot makes the debit cards that are sold in the convenience stores.

I think $180,000 was the predicted dual income if she were also employed. TS's Poshmark account reveals her taste for higher end clothing and accessories. Most likely she was selling more than buying. Her lifestyle was not as she hoped and instead of taking responsibility, she blamed and resented AS, LH and the children.

(((Hugs)))
We need to brace ourselves.
Even if what we speculated turns out to be somewhat 'lesser' than we'd feared -- we'll finally know the truth and that will be worse. :(
It sounds like it could be released as early as this week...

Hoping justice will be harsh !

not familiar with the poshmark thing. Is it like e bay? to sell second hand stuff? but again, some of the items are listed as "not for sale" so why would you upload an item if it's not for sale? like bikini bras?
