I seriously don't understand how people think they will get away with crimes now days. You don't even have to be heavy into true crime to know that there are "eyes" everywhere and devices are smarter than most people.

Has there ever been a case in the US where there was a murder conviction without a body and LE had none of: 1. Large amount of blood indicating death 2. Witness of murder 3. Confession from murderer 4. Enough bone fragments to indicate death

They probably found #1, I guess #2 is possible but doesn't seem likely.

There was a no body conviction in my area of Northern California in 2007. Mario Garcia was convicted of first degree murder of Christie Wilson. No blood only DNA that was found on a door handle and in the trunk of his car.

I think many crimes are committed by people who give very little thought to how they'll "get away with it." I think Chris Watts got mad (early in the morning) at his wife because she was not happy about his affair. He was prepared to kill her, but he didn't plan very well what he would do after.

I think Letecia Stauch is even more impulsive. She has had many run-ins with the law (and, I bet, with coworkers and other people in her life). She is used to getting away with antisocial behavior. There's been very little incentive for her to stop flipping out, scaring and manipulating people.

She's talked her way out of all these other (much less serious) situations, she's trying the same strategy here. But she went way over the line, this isn't a mere screaming fit or psychological abuse.

Nips issues in the bud, and it saves kids just from everyones awareness of the problem. Potential abusers modify their behavior knowing if there is suspicion there will be a follow up.

I do not disagree. I feel pretty certain that she had possession of his phone from Sunday on.

I am more interested in learning when the internet search took place. Was it Sunday night? Was it during the 4 hours? Was it when she returned home (without him)? I, personally, feel this internet search is going to prove pre-meditation on her part. Among many other things!

It will also show the level of planning she went to to explain things away. For example; the search was used to report him as a runaway. However, it was really a cover-up (on his part?), to hide the fact someone was sent to pick him up. Despite the fact LE never considered him to have been abducted, T wanted to plant seeds of doubt, and cast suspicion elsewhere. Then there is the fact that she left her phone at home, but took Gannon's phone with them. Why is that? If she were concerned Gannon was going to run away and take his phone with him, why would she give him the opportunity to do so? She obviously did not take into consideration he could have been tracked and found by now?

For me, Gannon's phone and the internet search she claims he made play a large role in the investigation. It put this whole case in motion. It's the first lie revealed. It was what she thought would protect her from suspicion. It's exactly what she tried using to blame Gannon's disappearance on Gannon. I don't like her. At all.

Thought I had the basic facts down but apparently not.

I wonder when the very last time Gannon talked/tested/facetimed with anyone ?

B/c after that (imo) is when the monster started to ramp up the abuse to the point of no return.

The media could respond immediately, as soon as today. I doubt they would delay their response. Then the judge will read and respond with a ruling.

Wouldnt the judge need to wait the full 14 days to allow any interested media to respond? Its not like the media have a single appointed rep as far as I know.

An early ruling to allow it to be published might make sense but an early "no" Im not so sure.

No. The media has joined together in this, and there is a lone attorney handling the motion for the (more than a dozen) outlets.

The media asked for it to be released, the defense responded, and now the media gets to respond.

The deadline is 14 days, but I’d be shocked if they hadn’t already filed.

This would have been around the time of arrest in MB...there appeared to be a Letecia Locklear also arrested at same time, some one posted and said there was actually was another Letecia, not our dear Letecia, w/ all this new info, we need to revisit that...IIRC...in my neck of woods, Letecia is uncommon, but per NCWatcher, fairly common name in areas of NC... feel certain our Letecia has benefited from this MOOJustice for LeticiaoopsGannon!

The media is asking for the arrest affidavit (probable cause documents).

Search warrants are typically released as well, but those almost always come at a much later date (following the preliminary hearing in the Frazee case for instance).

So those are separate issues.
