What are we learning from these articles that quote "a source" that we didn't already know?
1. "11-year-old was allegedly murdered by his stepmother Letecia Stauch." Yes we've known that since when, March 4th?
2. "boy was shot, stabbed, and put in a suitcase before his body was thrown under a Florida bridge." Yes, we already know that, they would not have added the (already widely reported) charges if he wasn't shot and stabbed. They would not have added firearm charges because she may have just driven around with a firearm without the correct license for concealed or open carry.
3. "The Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office says they found the murdered boy’s body in Pace, Florida, last Wednesday." Yes, we know that.

Note they don't state the sequence, if they had insider information they would be printing that, which would be something new.
The media is lucky that anyone in a position to know is talking to them at all. Beggars can’t be choosers, and this source or sources may not be privy to all the details.

The important thing is that it serves as confirmation of the basis of those charges.

It’s all over for LS. Her life PLUS behind bars. Other inmates not liking her. No dressy dresses. No hiking outside. No Kate Spade bags. Limited food choices. Fear of someone beating the —— out of her.

Following the trial is just beginning for us. :D

Hearing the details will be much harder. :(

I think they are just keeping it in the news, but that's OK. Probably most people don't follow the news already printed on this particular case.

RSBM

But will we ever get to know about it? Since the trial won't be televised? I was glued to computer during the trials of both Casey and Tammy Moorer....I remember learning a lot of stuff from watching the witnesses testify that we previously didn't know here. Especially at TM's trial.

"Welcome to Colorado!"

We're going to be completely dependent on the reporters and any WS members who actually attend the trial
(waving @GoJacks ) to let us know what happens in that courtroom.

We'll hear and read about it secondhand.

The problem with that is a lot of communication is nonverbal, e.g., facial expressions, body language, gestures, etc.

We're going to miss nearly all of the nonverbal communication that goes on in that courtroom.
That nonverbal stuff can't be captured in a reporter's tweet.

Beats the Pony Express, I guess.

Barely.

JMO.

Thank you MassGuy. I was trying to come up with that response, but having a heck of a day here, and I'm not thinking sharp. Thankfully you are.

I need to thank @nyvictoria, @Sachi, @Love Never Fails and all the other people who have been thanking me for the post about the Holocaust survivor who said that there's nothing as wonderful as a boring day.

I've really received a lot of grateful comments about it, so I want to make sure that I deflect the sweet comments back to that Holocaust survivor's credit. I wish I could remember her name!
I heard her say that years ago, and I imagine she has passed by now, as she was quite elderly then.

However, it did make me learn how to do a signature! Hopefully her words will continue to be a blessing in such a frightening time as today. She endured far worse, and I thank you, unnamed Holocaust survivor, for your hard-earned wisdom.

I still despise the fact that TS tried to take Gannon’s dignity away after already taking his life. She is the epitome of true evil.

I'm with you @mommadukes I was beyond irate about LS disclosing this about Gannon from the first time I read it! I've never been convinced it even happened. As if her actions & behavior weren't bad enough, this creature found a way to make things worse every chance she got. No person with ANY decency would publicly divulge a detail like this about a child, any child, let alone one in your care. She is the lowest of the low in EVERY aspect of life. As you stated perfectly, "she is the epitome of true evil!"

It truly helped me. I try to stay optimistic when events are hard. Yesterday was a day when I was really down. I was on the Coronavirus thread too long. When I read your post it melted me. I would take a boring day anytime! But more than that, I was reminded how blessed I am and how thankful.

The Holocaust survivors experienced things I hope all of us never do.

Thank you for the beautiful reminder. And I am thankful for the compassionate folks on this thread, regardless of our differences.

For AS, the demand must be related to his children. AS may believe GS or LS were attached or the puppy was a gift to them. In his grief, all it would take is for his little girl to cry for the puppy. All AS is asking for is the puppy and to be out of the marriage. He deserves both.
It's not like she's going to be able to fulfill the duties of pet ownership. MOO

The truck belongs to the husband. The marriage was irretrievably broken by Friday January 31, 2020 when she appeared before the news camera no longer wearing her wedding ring and backdropped by a moving van full of her stuff. LE is saying she was in the Pace / Pensacola area between Monday February 3, and Wednesday February 5, 2020. It's just not possible that she would be driving his truck after the split IMO
I believe they're referring to the Moving truck. AS was seen without his wedding band before the 31 Jan interview with TS.

GM Sleuths. Gannon is home! I want to thank our everyday hero’s for making this happen.

LS wasn’t wearing hers either - in the interview with Spencer.

And possibly even worse for her, no easy opportunities to beat up people smaller than her. For the first time in her life, she's gonna have to cope with the insides of her own head, without her usual coping mechanism. She will not be "good to go," she won't be going anywhere. She really does like to move around/drive as a secondary coping mechanism. I hope they put her in a cell next to another permanent resident who shares some of her traits...

The divorce filing states the dog was between 3 and 4 months of age as of March 5, 2020. Frenchies are not removed from their mother's care until 8 wks minimum. That means that the dog was a member of that household for 2 to 6 weeks. The math was really a stretch for me, but I got through it. It's not a long time, especially for one who is gone a lot with work. I fail to see the importance of this demand. JMO

I think even if AS has only one strong memory of Gannon seeing the dog for the first time after they got it, or seeing gannon snuggle with him or his little face light up as a result of getting a new puppy- it is worth it for any fight to get that dog back. AS might not have an attachment but I could imagine as a parent remembering his child's happiness (maybe his little sister too, maybe it is consoling for her) and wanting to keep whatever made his kids happy.

@gitana1, @riolove77 or any other legal eagles out there care to explain?

Would it be possible to charge her with something like assault/battery for the incident that occurred in KS? Would that just be a waste of time/effort because she's not going to be extradited to face those charges?
No legal eagle here, but what sense would it make to charge her with a lesser crime? That’s a lot of tax dollars to waste to extradite, etc. CO can’t try her or charge her for a crime committed in KS. I could see them waiting to charge her with this crime in KS if she were found not guilty of all charges in CO.

Gannon

One thing she won’t be missing; her relationships w/people. I doubt she has
anything like a meaningful relationship,
even HH...I started to say , so sad...
but she is getting NO pity from me. Nope, just Nope, never, ever.!!! SMH SMH slowly w/ emphasis

Since the divorce filing clearly acknowledges that the other party is incarcerated, the demand for the dog would appear to have never been on LS, but is being made on HH. If it's true that the older dog was left for AS, (which I can't confirm), it would appear to already be an equitable distribution of pets in the divorce between AS and TS. I didn't see any offer to swap. I don't think a divorce judge would say anything other than "settle it amongst yourselves". JMO, IANAL

There was an extended version that the reporter shared somewhere that shows at the very end, she pulls a "Columbo" and says "Just one more thing". And as her last afterthought, she finally fake cries and pretends to be concerned about the missing boy. It really showed that the whole interview she was only concerned about herself and her trying to defend herself and she really didnt care about the missing boy. She almost forgot to act concerned about him till the very end where she had to call the reporter back to tape the last fake crying part.

Sorry I dont have the link handy for that interview where I saw the extended version that the reporter put out.
Here it is:

The LE and prosecutors in Kansas need to follow in a fair and logical order. Waiting to see how one set of charges goes before filing others is completely unethical. IMO, IANAL

Your name "Love never fails", they found him.. so love never fails because if he was found by highway repairmen and looking at the location that was a miraculous stroke of amazing luck/good fortune or coincidence for sure.
I want to forget her evil existence, her face, her name, erase her story. Her trial should be a swiftly closing door. GANNON should be remembered, his huge smile, his goodness, that's the triumph over evil, that evil does not get to consume the space of goodness.
