“He” is Gannon. She was still selling the runaway story at this point.

I have no idea what she meant by “he didn’t come towards the house,” though.

From the way RD described the conversation it sounded like the "he" was the person who picked up Gannon. He said he asked her if she wanted to see the video to see if they could see if anyone came to the house and was caught on video.

At first, no friend was mentioned. But I think her story evolved over time as she was questioned by either LE or AS. “Why is he not shown on the front door Ring camera leaving?” became “he snuck out the side gate.”

“How do you know he went out the side gate?” became “cuz he kept going to the side gate.”

“Why are you saying LH had something to do with it when she was in another state?” became “she could have sent someone else.”

So the story got more and more convoluted. And when RD offered to let them look at video that he said should show whether someone picked Gannon up (and she knew it could also show her leaving then), she came up with Gannon’s friend (supposedly sent by LH ) met him at the side gate and wouldn’t be seen at the front of the house. Yeah, right.

Sorry I have been working like crazy and haven't been able to log on for too long. So since I have like no time to read 3000 posts. Was it confirmed to be Gannon? Was he found in the suitcase? Has there been any clues to what state his body was in? Im sorry to have to write this but was his body complete in the suitcase? (ugh that was hard to type)

There would be no circus, as her attorney couldn’t step in front of a camera, couldn’t release a statement, and wouldn’t have the benefit of a televised trial.

Which is precisely the reason I don’t believe any high profile attorney would touch this case with a 10 foot pole.

No grandstanding, no moment in the spotlight, just a brutal courtroom loss.

I know of someone on death row in PA. Kind of like CO where they have (had) a DP, but rarely carry it out. I can't imagine a worse hell. They congregate with no one; even their one-hour outside each day is alone. They eat in their cell and rot. Even for the states that have the DP and rarely carry it out, when they do, it's because the inmates waived appeals and begged for it.

The fact that she won't taste that sadness, if convicted, is not justice.

I really think that TS will be tasting a lot of sadness. The life-style change in itself is traumatic. No more colorful Lilly Pulitzer dresses, Kate Spade bags or cool shades

I think many lifers adapt well, but only after complete acceptance. Before socializing in general population, TS has two huge obstacles to overcome; the stigma of brutally murdering a child, and earning the trust of the corrections staff. Her extradition escapade earned her the label of a threat. Hopefully she finds a way to deal with her anger. Other inmates will push her buttons, and the guards will not hesitate to send her to the hole JMOO.

It is a frustrating case. But I don't think a new law about step-parents would be helpful. The majority of step-parents don't harm, much less murder, their step-children. If a bio-parent trusts his/her spouse with his/her children, I don't think the government should interfere. JMO

I didn’t say anything about a law involving step-parents. LOL. Obviously that would be ridiculous. I am referring to the time it takes to start looking for a kid under 12 who goes missing irregardless of what ANYONE says about him possibly being a runaway. Time to issue warrants, etc.

Nothing new. It’s absolutely going to be him, but the results of whatever other identifying methods they are using, haven’t been made public yet.

We likely won’t hear anything about the condition of his body until the preliminary hearing. I do expect to hear formal identification though when that’s available.

I love this. LWOP row, they should really consider doing this since DP is pretty nonexistent now. Plus jurors could have this alternative option instead of just LWOP. There really are some crimes that are more heinous than others and it would differentiate between them. Less privileges, less free time to spend with other inmates living La Vida Loca jailhouse style......etc etc!!! I am in favor of this and 23 hour a day lock down!

ETA: and no senseless required appeals like DP has either.

Yes, she contradicted herself so many times. She gave away so much incriminating information every time she made a statement or gave an interview.

I guess that's a good thing. For all that she complained about LE mistreating her and violating her rights, she sure did help them out by running her mouth so much.

They couldn’t get warrants unless they had probable cause, and it’s protected by the 4th Amendment.

You don’t tear up the Constitution, or take away people’s rights, just because there are times where it’s inconvenient or harmful.

It looked from the beginning that they didn’t trust her, or believe her story. It took time and evidence to be able to obtain warrants though.

Then they should have followed her when she rented the car and the truck and drove at least once, probably twice, out of state to dispose of the body. It also seems like most people who have a kid missing would be fine with LE tearing their house n vehicles apart to look for him, warrant or not. If a cop asks and they say no, that’s a red flag.

Yes, I'm sure her family has been listening (and believing) how much she's been the victim all these years. Was thinking this went beyond her stories of LH. I'm sure she's spun tails on just how horrible GS was as well (which breaks my heart to even type because he was an innocent).. but if she painted herself as the hard working, put upon woman with an unsupportive husband, evil birth mom, and horrible brat to care for... I wonder if it was enough for one or more family members to help her if she told them she snapped under the pressure.

It hasn’t even been scheduled yet. There’s a hearing coming up in a few weeks, and it should be scheduled at that point.

With this virus though, all bets are off. The release of that affidavit shouldn’t be affected, so that’s probably what we should be most looking forward to.
