I am so behind but didn’t someone post earlier and say her step father was run over and killed. But I don’t remember what year. It was a serious article.

I see no reason for LE to update the public regarding HH' status at this point.

I have a feeling HH was afraid of what her mother might do and LE placed her in protected-witness custody to squelch those fears in trade for her cooperating. I'm not claiming HH was directly 'involved' but she is a material witness because she was in and out of the dwelling and interacted with people in the house in one way or another before, during and after the day of the murder.

If new charges are brought or if there's another arrest, I'd fully expect LE to update and it would be peculiar if they didn't.

I don't think that HH is or was afraid of her mother.
But I agree with you that HH is a witness, of what we don't know but will find out at the next hearing.
It's a pity that the media can't be in the courtroom.
We'll have to rely on a reporter's tweets, ala the Patrick Frazee trial.

I don’t think anyone is saying HH shouldn’t be held responsible at the age of 17. We are saying as of right now there is no reason to believe she was knowingly aiding her mother in covering up the murder of her stepbrother. Why continue bringing her into this as part of the crime when there is no evidence alleging she was a willing participant. Again, if evidence comes out she knew have at her. She is fair game then.

We are discussing why HH would not be cooperative with LE. No one has accused her of murder.

We are allowed to discuss HH as was stated in the beginning of the thread.
No one has accused her of anything and we will continue to discuss since we're staying within the guidelines.
It's hard to understand why some say we have to leave HH out of this thread entirely-- ad nauseam -- as she lived in that house and wasn't a 5 year old.

She must have observed everything from how Gannon and his sister were treated (I'm sensing there was a disparity) to any tensions between AS and TS.
So she has a lot of information and hopefully she'll start cooperating.

I haven't read any posts that accuse HH of anything that isn't fact. And if you know of any, then please report them to our moderators. But there are posts that indicate a misunderstanding of such, which is a shame. Whether its kindness, knowledge, logic, diversity, occupation, experience or background, all of us bring something valuable to this forum.

We are all here for Gannon, and oppose anything that caused him harm.

That's why I said "we don't know if anything has changed..."
I've been consistent in explaining that the AA and discussions surrounding it are in regards to the evidence LE had before he was found.

In some ways I'm surprised they had that much.
And agreed with above poster that I missed the mention of finding or looking for a missing weapon; since Gannon's may have been shot.
Wonder who's gun or was it from a relative ?
It wasn't AS' as she'd be charged with theft in the AA.

I honestly would not expect an update from LE on anything to to do with this case except if new charges are brought. I definitely wouldn't expect updates re: level or type of
witness cooperation. While there is required discovery, the State often tries to withhold information from the defense as much as is legally permissable. So having LE tell the public what's going on wouldn't be welcomed I shouldn't think.

IF the gun came from the Stauch home and technically belonged to AS, I'm not sure TS would be charged with theft. Maybe I'm missing something here but usually LE wouldn't get into squabbles about marital property (except maybe to aid in the enforcement of a post-divorce court order should the order be resisted.)

Use of a spouse's gun in a crime against that spouse's child would be an awful thing, no argument there. But in the final analysis, a gun is just property. I don't think there's an interest in pursuing TS for property crimes at this point even if it could be proved she used a gun from her home that belonged to her husband.

At trial I would think there would need to be some evidence about where the gun came from or what gun was used if GS was shot.

Thanks for sharing your experience. For years I've witnessed my successful, mature, sister-in-law regress to an obedient, seemingly 12-year-old around her mother. And it always tears her apart.

I'm still thinking about the alleged confrontation with police early on (January 30) when LS and HH were according to LS -- pulled over by LE, guns drawn, and HH briefly handcuffed. EPSO refused to comment but I wonder how this experience would affect me if I'd done nothing wrong and believed my mom was innocent and being harassed.

I'm inclined to believe that as weeks passed, HH was willing to speak to anybody the minute LS was behind bars with no promise of bond release.

One has to wonder what behaviors HH exhibited that would cause LE to cuff her ?
Maybe need to defend her mother no matter what ?
Some adult children will defend their parents regardless of the crimes committed.
But maybe in some families blood is thicker than water and they are loyal no matter what the perp has done ?
If a person like HH has had the misfortune to have been raised that way , it might be difficult to break free.

In all actuality no one here at WS has 'dragged ' HH into this.

She is nearly an adult and she lived at that house.

And she was stated in the AA as "Not cooperating" with LE.
That speaks volumes.
There's more I can post but will add later as real life is calling.

I'll refer commenters back to @GordianKnots 's valuable post concerning the red line that has most definitely been crossed.

Again, no one pulled HH into this investigation.
If LE said she was cooperating there'd be less speculation, and we don't know if anything has changed with her refusal to assist LE or --way before TS' arrest for his murder-- not helping to look for a supposedly lost and frightened 11 year old.

Gannon --while he was still 'missing' -- should have been of more concern than a mother's lies and even a daughter's sympathy for TS.
So that's about the state of things at this point.

Yes, she called police at 6:55 and they didn’t show up at 10:09 which likely gave her some extra moments of cleaning and CYA line rehearsal.

As far as HH goes, time and evidence will tell the courts what they need to know, and they will respond accordingly IMO. I’m okay to wait and still consider her a damaged, clueless pawn in this disgusting game orchestrated by her alpha monster.. I’m sure some of the worst lies were spun by TS to HH, let’s hope HH can unravel them and can start to trust that doing the right thing won’t further damage her life and put her in LS’ crosshairs. Just an observation, but I think being the daughter of LS is her crime. As someone said, no sympathy for anyone in LS’s family.

I’ll label this as more TeeSplaining...If LE didn’t already suspect her enough, she sends this really strange text message to investigators Tuesday night which makes zero sense and full of more lies to LE.
TUESDAY 10:45 p.m.

Letecia makes statement to investigators via text message:

“What do you want from me? Because I have nothing. One of your very own leaked to me what you guys were doing. I did nothing/or am being set up. I’m not really even sure other that being told that by another blue with El Paso. I was told I couldn’t go home to sleep and on top of that men were sent to a home with a minor female and she was forced to stay there not to even have good.”

This part especially “ **Every conversation that said even at this moment, I can hear inside**. What do you want from me?”

Was T trying to say HH was there in the house and possibly had her mom on the phone listening in to investigators talking?

Very frustrating. They removed it because it doesn't fit community standards. BUT... we all know there are no community standards on facebook. It's all crap.
They removed my content because someone complained.
My guess is that someone is related to one of my 150 cases and doesn't like the light in which they are portrayed.
And, yes I did appeal to facebook to reinstate. Nothing so far.

That’s absolutely awful, Amanda. Our first amendment rights are tdamoled everyday. I’ve really about decided I’m finished with social media platforms, ie FB, Twitter & Instagram.
