Can HH tell police what she knows behind closed doors without it being recorded? I think it can do irreparable damage to her psychologically if they force her to testify or try to punish her. Personally I don’t think she is a threat to society, but could become one if they force her to testify against her mother. Hopefully her age at the time of the crime will help. They can’t make kids testify against their parents, can they? I really feel sorry for her. She seems like a sweet girl with the possibility of a good future, whose life was basically just ripped out from under her. Once she’s past this maybe she can write a book and let everyone know the real LS. Would be interesting.

I expect TS is to bask in her notoriety. We'll be hearing more from her.
As Jodi Arias said, "you can mark my word."
moo
I don’t see this playing out the same way. People saw Jodi Arias as this attractive woman, and some even believed her story.

This woman killed a child, and her best feature is her intelligence.

Which is to say, she has nothing going for her.

HH might have been very dependent on her mother, especially being an only child, but there could also be some underlying hate. She might have gone her whole life feeling used and betrayed by her mother. All the shock of this might not have settled in yet. Give it time. I've seen it before.

Lol!
But I think TS views herself as beautiful and that others adore her, and she thinks she can be convincing, outsmarting others.
We'll see...

For reals ... guess that leaves no hope she is going to grow a conscience and cop a plea.

People with ASPD have a disregard for the rights of others. There is no moral sense or conscience, as well as a history of crime, legal problems, and/or aggressive behavior.

IMO she does not feel guilty & will not confess.

BBM:

They can, they should, and they will force her to testify.

The DA's obligation is to make sure Gannon's vicious, vile, evil killer is brought to justice.

That's their sole mission, and their only mandate.

HH's feelings about testifying cannot, should not, and will not ever trump the pursuit of justice for Gannon.

Period.

JMO.

She refused to cooperate, atleast at the point the AA was filed.

They can make her testify against her mother under penalty of perjury. If she decides to plead the Fifth because she has committed crimes, then she can be immunized.

Her mother was running around all over the place, and HH was picking her up and driving her around.

She can speak to life in the home, and the events surrounding Gannon’s murder. She can answer a lot of questions, and provide a great deal of clarity.

If she doesn’t do the right thing, then I have every expectation she will be forced to cooperate. The stakes couldn’t be higher, and the victim couldn’t be more innocent.

The most important thing is delivering justice for Gannon, and his suffering family.

She’s 17, and will be atleast 18 come trial. It’s time to step up.

Well, I must admit that the constant “duck face” selfies do appear to imply that TS views herself as a woman with youthful beauty. As far as her outwitting the masses, I think she will eventually write a “true story” book from behind bars.

kudos to linking the back door opening 10x to TS statement about gannon constantly checking the back gate.
I don’t remember hearing that theory before.
I kind of just dismissed it, but I should have known she was presplaining something significant.
That presplaining made him alive and well. moo

She can try, but nobody will read it since she can't profit from her crimes.
I don't think she knows truth from fiction either way.

How could he have been shot at the house without neighbors hearing, those houses are on top of each other? Also, without a hole in the mattress or a pillow or the wall. I'm not saying she didn't use a gun but I am having a hard time thinking she did it in the house.
My neighbor 1 house over shot his wife while she slept. None of us heard anything until the swat team converged.
Edited Leo Visco was his name. Hubby and I saw him as a crabby guy. Other neighbors felt sorry for him. He told neighbors wife was dying. The autopsy reveled normal aches and pains. Leo got off.

In court, come June, I predict LS will suffer ANOTHER heart attack, followed by self treatment of the symptoms.....putting tissues down her britches.
MOO
I think you may have just named T's memoir:
"Tissues in My Britches" has a nice ring to it!
(I bet one of you can think of a subtitle in the blink of an eye.)

I'm not so ready to absolve her until we know more.

If there was involvement in a cover up/clean up can we just say, "Sweet girl!" and celebrate her book deal?

Nope.

I think one shot can totally be missed.
its over before anyone's got their ear tuned for a strange sound.
I can't rule it out that she shot him sunday night even.
the blood splatter and him surviving it imo relates best to being shot rather than bashed and still able to walk.

Thanks for clarifying the legalese. 2 things: If they think she’s guilty of something why haven’t they charged her yet? And secondly, wouldn’t she be treated similarly to an abused wife? Ie. a child under the total care of the suspect.
Glad someone here does not subscribe to the mob mentality. The umbrellaing of another potential victim on a public forum can only serve to aid the defense.

I agree, if she knowingly assisted. If so through, why haven’t they already brought charges against her. And what if she did, but did so under duress?
