I'd like to know how early TS presplained her disappearing car to AS....

JMO
Snipped

She told AS that her Tiguan was by the elementary school. He and LE (not sure if together or separately) looked for it, but obviously couldn't find it because it was parked at the airport.

I think she told him the Tiguan was at the elementary school since Monday - and that's why AS reacted so strongly when he saw the neighbor's video. He saw that she didn't drive the Tiguan on Monday but drove his Frontier.

Speculation only.

Spencer Wilson reported that in addition to a small red Nissan, LS and crew had a moving van (part of which can be seen in the Cousin It video). Presumably, LS had already loaded her stuff into that van, along with Gannon. So there were two vehicles that drove off from Lorson Ranch that day (Jan 31 is when Spencer saw them).

Would love to know if she bought kitty litter at Petco.
I thought the AA stated that the nissan was white? I also remember hearing "red nissan" from spencer. I wonder if we are talking about 2 different vehicles, or just bad info on the color in one of the reports?

I also thought I saw that the nissan was rented by one of the aunts? What I'm getting at is I'm wondering if LS's relatives flew to colorado, rented a car, turned the rental in, and flew back to carolina?

This is all just speculation, but maybe there wasn't a "caravan" back to carolina? Maybe LS drove the moving truck to carolina alone?

I get so confused with all the rental vehicles and all her alleged actions. It is almost like she started to make things up as she went along once LE honed in on her and she got scared.

One thought I cant shake is the thought she may have had him in the back of the Tiguan the whole time when she left it in short term parking to pick up AS. Maybe she was struggling to find a good place to put him and had just left him there for the time being until she finally picked up her leased VW Tiguan and eventually move the body to north of the lake area.

Hindsight is 20/20 but I also wonder why LE did not search for her vehicle in the airports parking lots. They were looking for it and they knew she picked up AS at airport and had to have known she rented a vehicle there because AS would have told LE about the rental so it seems a likely place to search would have been the airport parking lots. Maybe they did try to search it but because of their resources being limited or because of the volume of cars they may have just missed spotting it.

So many things she did was illogical and confusing. Im more convinced some of her actions were made up on the fly as time went on. She was constantly changing and evolving her plans. Pure insanity.

Just wish she would have realized that she could have stopped at any time before killing him and he may have healed up and been ok and all she would have faced was X number of years for child abuse rather than what she ended up doing and now will be locked up for life which is what she deserves now and more.
Gosh she makes me ill just thinking about her and what she did to him. :(

One wonders. I wonder about the resources and time it took for warrants, the wait for phone and GPS records, monitoring of her social media, etc. accounts. Whatever happened to using a good ole fashioned tail? If they had used a tail is it not possible that they could have witnessed her first ( and would have been only ) placement of his remains? ...MOO

Yes!! Besides the time frame between Petco visits, this is the thing that bothers me most too. How could she have cleaned up, with cleaning supplies on hand, even good enough for the girls not to notice. That was less than an hour to commit a murder and start cleaning. She clearly ran out of cleaning supplies at some point according to the store list HH was given. She would still have had a lot to do at that time plus have to wait on the extra supplies. Somehow she kept them from noticing anything. I agree she had everything done before she called the police. She had absolutely no way of knowing they wouldn't show up right after her call. I just cant figure out how she accomplished it all. All in all she must've been sure LE wouldn't look around very much. Who calls police while hiding a body right there? Mindblowing!!
THIS!!!

It's like she's suped up on drugs to do this. Not joking. Was she on something?

It's unbelievable what she supposedly accomplished while under pressure or time, of the girls potentially seeing evidence, and LE immediately knowing it was a crime scene. And she's texting through it. AND, the body is still there.

Literally shaking my head imaging how that was accomplished.

So the question of where Gannon was murdered should be known by law enforcement.

Right now, it does look like he was murdered in his bedroom, and did return home.

The definitive answer will likely come from his body. Let’s say by some miracle the violent event that caused all that blood in his bedroom happened before they left that morning.

She almost certainly would have had to bandage him, especially considering the severe injuries he would have suffered (and no blood in the pickup).

If his body was found with evidence of medical care performed by “Dr. Stauch,” then providing it is severe enough to account for the blood, then that would change things.

Tom Bevel’s (blood splatter experts) firm should be able to help determine this as well.
and knowing what we know from Jennifer's case - the amount of blood may help determine if the initial injuries were fatal. Else, why the knife and gunshot? No autopsy results yet right? I've been away from his thread
IMO

No, and I don’t anticipate hearing about those results until the preliminary hearing.

There is no understating how big a deal having Gannon’s body is.

Inside every lie is often a bit of truth. She did offer the information that she bandaged Gannon in the garage. She told that story, I'm sure, to cover for blood being found....but perhaps she did "bandage" him before they left home Monday morning.

That would allow more time for clean up in the afternoon since she wouldn't also need time to commit the murder if he was already deceased by the time she returned home.

Speculation only.

The AA states the aunt rented a silver Nissan Altima, which LS used until 2/1.

I thought Spencer said red too.

1. Motion detectors in the basement and living room and contact detectors on front and back door. NO mention of them registering separate movements in two different areas of house at any time between 2:30-3:30 Jan 27. She was in and out of back door 10x during that time. If G was also in the house at the same time there would at SOME point be an acknowledgement of that in the form of 2 separate hits of movement in house simultaneously.

2. If G came home alive with her on 1/27 (which I contend he did not) he wouldn’t have gotten out of the other side of truck. He never got out at PetCo, and I assume at any other place for that matter, and he was injured and obviously ill, so why would she take the trouble to shift him over to the complete other side of the vehicle. She wouldn’t.

3. The fact that LE found no blood in truck, supports my theory. We know he was bleeding on Sunday night from his own words. We saw how sick, injured, and debilitated he was walking to the truck with barf bag. We heard he was vomiting, etc. So why was there NO blood, or vomit I assume. If true and he was vomiting and injured and bleeding the night before surely there would be some blood, if even a few drops. She either put down or had a waterproof seat cover already in truck. A PetCo fan with 2 small dogs of course would have a seat cover. If not she could have put a tarp from garage anytime between Sunday night and Monday at 10am.

4. AA claims there is no definitive proof or otherwise of him ever returning home with her.

5. Neighbor has the original footage and he saw no one but her on return.

In reference to #3, that "tailgating tent" that is in the pictures with LE looking around the garage caught my eye the second I saw it. The canopy could have been used as protective cover.

IIRC there was mention of another Nissan? which was the former car of LS and still in her name?? This was from a thread here, but it could have made its way over from SM. MOO

Agree on gunshot. One shot no yelling would likely go unnoticed by neighbors, but RDs camera sound pickup should have caught the muffled bang.

Re:#3
MOO. A child getting away from an adult in the driver seat either emotionally or physically would exit the back passenger door.
From a light visible though the driver side window MOO there is a lot of action in the cab before she (they get out).

@Niner - making sure you see this as I think you are working on this too:

This is a timeline based on the arrest affidavit. It includes info ONLY from the affidavit.

I did NOT include any obvious lies she told (such as the rape stories) except where the lies fit into the timeline, imo. I realize there are other pertinent dates and times, but this is info ONLY from the affidavit.

EXCELLENT!

Just a note, the Spencer interview with her back turned and the entourage waiting was sometime before 3:41pm on January 31st (so BEFORE she returned to the dump site and retrieved Gannon's body in the rented Nissan Altima). The interview is not part of the AA, so not included in your AMAZING timeline, but here's a link showing when the video was uploaded: VIDEO: Letecia Stauch, stepmom of Gannon Stauch, spoke to 11 News on Jan. 31. She was arrested March 2

Tom Bevel’s (blood splatter experts) firm should be able to help determine this as well.

BBM:

This would absolutely change things.

It would, in fact, allow the DA to prove that there was premeditation to the murder.

If she had enough time to attempt to bandage, stitch, or otherwise staunch bleeding wounds, then she had enough time to make a conscious decision about her next course of action, i.e., murdering him.

I'm wondering if they found him with bandaging on his wounds.

There's simply no way he wasn't attacked first on Sunday.
Without question, she injured him somehow on Sunday.

I strongly suspect she made (unsuccessful) attempts to "fix" what she'd done to him, panicked, and we all know what she decided to do next.

We just don't know exactly when and/or where, yet.

JMO.

Raspberrymama,
I appreciate this post and and know there are many people who can identify with what you went through. I have heard stories from friends and people I have worked with. It’s a greater problem than most people think.

I don’t think I gave enough thought to the point 10ofRods was making last night. I was in a hurry and when I start to think of LS killing Gannon I get angry.

10ofRods said he was coming from the point of view of prevention. And that children must be loved and nurtured from birth to prevent them from growing into an abuser/murderer/ narcissist (take your pick). My personal opinion is there is the need of a foundation of believing Gods Word, every Word to be true and parents teaching their children that. And I certainly don’t want to start a war with the posters about that. That’s just my own personal belief. I agree that love and nurturing is the foundation every one of us needed from birth. Unfortunately, that is not what happens to a lot of people.

I agree with you it takes personal accountability.

And in the end, when a person makes the decision they are going to abuse/ murder/ torture another human being, I am not interested in what made them do it, or getting them rehabilitated or feeling sorry for their childhood.

To me, you are a prime example of suffering abuse as a child and yet you made the decision to be a better person.

I do tend to believe anyone who could hurt another human being is evil and likely born that way. And maybe no amount of nurturing or love could have changed the outcome. It’s sad really.
I do not believe that any child is born evil, or that no amount of nurturing or love can change the outcome.

I think environment plays an important role, and even when someone is born with a genetic predisposition for something like APD, it doesn't necessarily mean they will become a psychopath or commit violent crimes.

However, abuse, neglect and traumatic events increase the chance of developing a disorder and there are steps parents and therapists can take to prevent the child from becoming "evil."

I don't believe a normal person could do the things that LS did. Although I do agree with the notion that anyone is capable of anything given the right circumstances, I also think that there had to be some dysfunction in her life that led her to commit such a crime.

Understanding the circumstances that helped to create such a person capable of this level of violence might help to recognize the signs, or prevent such behavior in other potential criminals.

Imo

I hope so. Maybe that was what LE meant by the break we needed: muffled gunshot.

LOL. I don't want to reopen that discussion but we know RD's cams pick up partial driveway. There is more footage.

I revisited some of Roderick interviews the other day and he does seem to emphasis sound and that his camera picked up everything after GS went missing.

Maybe Gannon's canine friends helped out too. I don't know how many murder cases I've followed where people do not recall hearing the gunshot but do remember neighborhood dogs barking.

I took an interest in these home security cameras as investigative tools and privacy concerns before this case and frankly I was stunned by the quality of audio recording by RD's system. From that system alone, we were able to hear the Stauch kids chatter as they played up front, clearly enough that we could make out what they were saying. Who knows what else RD's surveillance and the systems of other neighbors picked up?

In reference to #3, that "tailgating tent" that is in the pictures with LE looking around the garage caught my eye the second I saw it. The canopy could have been used as protective cover.
Most suvs come with or as an option a retractable cargo cover. I’m sure T had one in her vehicle because ‘why not’

It’s weird that Gannon’s phone didn’t respond to Al until a minute before she made a purchase. We know that her travels were unaccounted for between her first Petco visit and the second one.
The AA does say she was captured on camera making that second purchase at PetCo.

I hope it clearly shows her with a phone.

Definitive proof she is pretending to be Gannon all day on his phone.
