LS's entire defense will depend on what evidence they can suppress, so I think there will be multiple motions to throw out her initial interview, the phone taps, etc. What happens before the trial may be more important than what happens during the trial.

Where did you see that he told AS the Tiguan was parked at the school on Monday 1/27 ?
I thought she said it was there on Tuesday 1/28 when she picked him up in the rental.
She said it was there both Monday and Tuesday?

It's my speculation she said the Tiguan was at the school on Monday. Sorry if I wasn't clear - I usually am good about indicating if I'm speculating or voicing an opinion, and apologize if I slipped.

As stated in the affidavit, TS told AS the Tiguan was by the elementary school on Tuesday morning when she picked him up at the airport.

I am guessing that she told him it was there since Monday as that makes sense to me, in my opinion. And it explains, imo, why he knew right away when he saw the neighbor's video that she lied about driving the Tiguan on Monday. Speculation.

I thought the AA indicated that TS never did reveal the location of the Tiguan to AS while she had the rental.

LE said they were unable to locate it all that time.

"Leticia provided statements to her husband, Albert Stauch, that she was concerned about putting mileage on her Tiguan lease, which justified the vehicle rental. It is noted, however, that during the time of the Kia rental, Leticia only put about 71 miles on the vehicle. During the time period that Leticia had the Kia, she would not provide the location of the Tiguan, and Mr. Stauch never saw the Tiguan. For example, she told Mr. Stauch that the Tiguan was near French Elementary School."

Paragraph 59 states that AS and LE looked for the Tiguan but never found it, and that LE later learned the Tiguan was parked at the airport.

The Tiguan was at the airport when TS told AS it was by the school. The Tiguan was at the airport all day Tuesday until around 7pm when TS picked it up.

I think there is something about the school that made her say that - was it L's school, maybe? But the truth is, the Tiguan was at the airport when she said it was by the school.

Later, Tuesday night, she ditched the Tiguan somewhere, when HH picked her up. I think she ditched it because she planned on going home to sleep on Tuesday night and didn't want AS to look at the Tiguan. But she found out she couldn't stay at the house on Tuesday night. But that was after she lied that the Tiguan was by the school.

Wednesday morning she washed the Tiguan and went to her LE interview - and LE seized the vehicle.

Oh, ok. Thanks. I was wondering because I think there was a schoolbus garage near the pond they were searching in the beginning.
So I wondered if that was near a school, or what led LE to search there.
Maybe it was somewhere along the route she took in the Tiguan.

The article did not state that TS herself thinks there is a possibility of bond. (although I wouldn't be surprised if she did) I think it was a general statement made by the author. They said it would depend on whether or not there is enough evidence in the affidavit, and then went on to include TS's statements about working on her defense with her attorney and that the affidavit was 90% speculation. That's the part that was quoted.

I doubt any judge will allow bond, not only because of the severity of the charges but because she has proved herself to be a flight risk.

Agreed and I doubt she’d be able to afford a murder bond. It would probably take several properties posted and some cash. She’s not getting out on bond.

Well, who knows what she told him. They only gave the school location as one example. She could have told him about five different things. Maybe she told him Eguardo took it. She told so many lies it was probably impossible to include everything.

This is speculation:

Perhaps she claimed car trouble? And that's where the car broke down? That's the only explanation I can think of that would make a glimmer of sense, imo, but my imagination is not as vivid as TS.

08:30 AM: LS arrives at the airport in the Tiguan, and proceeds to rent the Kia.
07:00 PM: LS returns to the airport and retrieves the Tiguan.
08:30 PM to 10:20 PM: The Tiguan is tracked to the Northwest region (area of suspicion) and then to the area of Powers and Carefree (a shopping area approximately 8 miles from the airport.
10:26 PM: HH receives a text, and the Jetta is tracked to the vicinity of Powers and Carefree.

Wednesday: January 29
09:00 AM: The Kia is returned to the airport.
12:00 PM (noon): Letecia arrives for her interview in the Tiguan. The Tiguan is taken. After the Tiguan is seized, LS obtains the Grey Nissan Ultima.

Tracking of the Ultima shows that it traveled to the Northwest Region (area of suspicion).
This Ultima and a moving vehicle are also noted in video and witness accounts during the interview given by LS.

My opinion is that the hiking trip on Sunday afternoon was, by her already either "thought out" plan or fantasy driven impulse, to be where TS would either have GS involved in an unfortunate accident (I lean towards the photograph taken at a precarious drop as an attempt at a cover after realising they could be seen by another hiker), or a disappearance. This thought/impulse/plan having not worked out the way she probably fantasised, the rest followed. MOO.

Monday: 04:42 PM: HH returns home in Jetta, picks up sister, and goes to store. (What car does HH take to the store?)

Tuesday 07:00 PM: LS returns to the airport and retrieves the Tiguan. (How did LS get to the airport to pick up her Tiguan?)

Wednesday 09:00 AM: The Kia is returned to the airport. (I think the affidavit implies that HH picked up TS from the airport after TS dropped off the Kia.)
