She might've bugged the house before she left so she would know what LE were saying while they were investigating, it wouldn't surprise me if that's why her story kept changing. I doubt very seriously that any of the LE was leaking her information, that was a T-Lie.

All you need is an app on your phone. Who knows, maybe she was alerted when someone entered the house. Then she could listen in through her security system. moo

LS perhaps woke early to cancel her work (substitute), therefore getting up early to enter it into system so another replacement can be found before school day starts. In my experience as substitute teacher, I would wake early to see what was in the job board for that day and then grab the job and or cancel an assignment. IMO

They had a tap on her phone, which likely told them her exact location as well. I wouldn’t be surprised if she was also under physical surveillance in the days just prior to her arrest.

ITA they knew exactly where she was at least 2 weeks before her arrest on March 2. Here they are listening to her tell people “ they think I’m still in Colorado “ on Feb 17.

You could be right. I'm not familiar with those kind of apps but I'd say it's definitely possible. I do know that bug recording devices are very inexpensive these days.

Thanks for explaining the protocol for educators. I could be wrong but I thought it was reported that LS had only completed orientation and already dismissed by the district when she allegedly called in her absence from work. I thought she only told AS that she called in because he did not know she lost her job(?)

You’re welcome. I believe she worked in the district as a substitute until she received an offer for the full time position, which she was offered until it was rescinded.

It’s written so soon because that’s this moron’s MO. He wrote like 4 books on the Watts case, most of them while it was still ongoing.

He conducts no interviews, and gathers information based on news accounts and social media posts. Then he uses that wonderful brain of his to “analyze” the case.

I’ve been promising a review of it, but feel compelled to throw the book in frustration every time I find an error, or he says something stupid. This would be fine, if the book wasn’t on my Kindle.

A lot of people were making that comparison early on, as there are certainly a lot of parallels.

Yeah, you really wonder why they haven’t come hard for that stepmom TH. They know she tried to hire a hit man to kill her husband 2 years before Kyron went missing and she was messing around with at least one other guy. I wonder if the same isn’t true for TS. I bet a lot of weird stuff is going to come out about her.

Well, the system does allow for the availability status as “not available” so your phone doesn’t ring off the wall starting at 6AM-auto dialer to registered subs. In this case, I believe she had an assignment on the books for Monday, then woke to cancel it on the job board. On a side note, the system only allows a cancellation via web/job board up to 5:59AM (day of assignment) it’s then locked and you have to call in the cancellation so it can be added back to the job board. Ha, I worked many years as a sub while my kids were young, most systems run this way, very efficient. Also, going off my memory, I remember thinking LS must have been placed into a long term substitute teaching assignment (all speculation) while the district completed her “Professional” license background check. All speculation tho...
