Colorado Judicial Branch - El Paso - Cases of Interest - The People of the State of Colorado v. Letecia Stauch

I just saw on LS docket that they are asking for video conferencing or bond for LS. Apparently the nearly 20,000 page discovery is taking more time then anticipated and there are several pieces that haven’t been shared with defense located in that document. One thing seemed odd in that document is they haven’t released the autopsy report to the defense according to the document.

Am I the only one thinking please don’t release her on bond ?

I remember years ago reading about a case that reminded me of T. Finally found it after days of searching.: “Tabor City wife murders husband and step-son, gets 2 life sentences”.
wmbfnews In 2014

If anyone cares to do a bit of sleuthing, let me know if the similarities read like a T instructional playbook. Gave me the shivers.

From the safety of her home? What home? She has no local home anymore.

Her Home! The one she’s going to buy with the divorce windfall and her share of any life insurance policy. It will be in Texas or Florida, whichever airline hub wins her as their newest bestest employee. And they will ofc allow her to fly to exotic destinations wearing Lily Pulitzer designed uniforms (when not required to be at that annoying trial thing, but that’s just a temporary minor inconvenience) and and and the home will be meticulously maintained by her personal Maintenance Man Eguardo and gardener what’s-his-name-lying-in-the-road-guy.
That home.

Exactly I was thinking the same thing, isn’t she a flight risk? Also she beat up a cop on her extradition to Colorado in the first place. Don’t you think the judge is going to take that in consideration?

Also nearly 20,000 pages of discovery? That’s a lot of evidence to look over for any case. It makes me wonder what’s in those documents of discovery to be so in detail

Speaking of which, were charges ever brought for that assault?

IMO re bail, not to worry. There’s no way she’s getting out on bond. In addition to being a flight risk, I doubt anyone in her circle has the means to post the substantial bail that would be required.

100% agree! LS' ongoing interviews are not likely to affect the case other than using her own words against her. JMO @leighEg has LS' confidence and therefore plays an important part in allowing her to dig herself deeper into trouble. If nothing else it validates everything we've been saying about her. MOO.
Ughhh that cousin it wanna be just makes me so angry . Leigh does a good job getting the lying liar to yap but it just annoys the heck outta me. And now wanting bail she may be safer where she is . There is a lot of support for the parents and a lot of anger towards the step. She has no where to go no job no home not a hope in Haiti’s in bail but that’s just my opinion

She’s not getting out but I do think they will be granted a continuation. I doubt we will see them in court on June 5.

Based on what they stated in their complaints, which I believe to be true...we shouldn't expect anything but a continuance.... I never want to see a reason for a trial of this magnitude to be overturned. Do it right...

'Mr. Stauch' may be a typo according to plunder. But yeah, i agree that retreat to home sounds delusional.

I think maybe her lawyers haven't reviewed the nearly 20,000 pages of paper discovery plus all the digital material and they seriously need more time plus better access to 'Ms. Stauch.'

I think it was a typo, because it didn't mention Mr. Stauch anywhere else in the motion.

I’m so glad that there are good people out here honoring Gannon. I’m sure all of us are here for his memory and want only justice for this sweet boy.

#GannonStauch’s mom also wanted to let everyone who participated know how grateful she is for their support.

Sometimes a “like” isn’t enough. I’m laughing my butt off reading your statements. They would ring true to the “stepthang”, but we know she’s nuts! Thank you for the humor! I needed it! #Here4Gannon #SweetChild

No assault charges as of yet from her stupid little escape trick while going through Kansas. What a effing piece of work!

She won’t be granted bond. Major flight risk.

I can see the Judge issuing an order from the court:
“Oh, you mean the home you moved out of after slaughtering your little step son?
Denied! You won’t feel safe there. The good people of Colorado want you to be locked up in a prison cell. For your safety, I’m denying your request.”
And then sealing the order with a big fat smiling emoji. :D

I’m no “t” fan, but she does have a right to meet with her attorneys. Given the pandemic, the jail needs to make adjustments to their rules about inmates not having access to video meetups while on the ward she is. IMO.

No way is she getting bonded out. But lawyers gotta lawyer. I am glad her attorneys are putting up a good defense on her behalf. The outcome will be the same regardless, but let’s make sure it sticks.

ETA @Runswithscissorz - awesome post! :D

Plain and simple, she is an idiot. She will last longer IN jail than OUT of jail. She is delusional if she think's she will have a quality of life on the outside. <modsnip>

Seeing her talk about the "safety" of a home hits harder than any of the other bs she's come up with so far. Gannon should have felt safe in his home, she's the reason he'll never see a 12th birthday. Get used to your cell, LS.

So true. I'm always amazed at how people who commit the most heinous of crimes are so fixated on themselves and their own comforts and rights. But, I know I shouldn't be amazed at all because it's all part of the package that makes them who they are.

"Relax, LS.... You just had another bad dream, is all. Fluff up your pancake pillow and go back to sleep. You already are home."

Attorney for #LeteciaStauch says EPCSO jail staff will not allow her to do video visits to discuss the case because of COVID19, want to push the next court date back.

They also floated letting her out on bond so she would get access to a call at home.

IMO, it's completely asinine to even suggest since EPCSO jail will not allow attorney's video visits with their clients, the alternative is bond so a good old fashion phone conversation between both parties can take place. Again, my opinion, either allow the video conferencing or push the court date back. I just can't see her being released on bond because of that. No way.
