I think she’s still here in CO with her dad. There were pictures of her and AS speaking at the motorcycle ride that was done locally.
Perhaps she’s back with him now or visiting. I hope she gets the most love from both of her parents and I really feel she will.
The DHS documents COULD be from when Gannon disappeared. They could relate to both children. In a case where a kid or parent disappears DHS/CPS can get involved and examine the family and the circumstances.
This provided some invaluable evidence in the Patrick Frazee case as he talked to CPS but wouldn’t talk to the police. His statement to CPS came into evidence.
If that's the case (that they relate to Gannon's disappearance/death), is it a bit unusual they would be withheld from the defense?
I hope both parents are enjoying spending time with her. They lost a son, but she lost a brother too. They all need each other.
Well CPS records are highly confidential and anything that might relate to other kids (like Gannon’s sister or step-sister) would not necessarily relate to the disappearance. So they might have to redact the records first.
Either way, CPS records are confidential and there has to be a court order to release them. If they’re going to be used as evidence, the defense has to see them.

6/4/20 Update: A new case #2020CR3170 - Solicitation to Commit Escape has been filed. The matter will be taken up at the 6/5 status conference. According to the affidavit, Stauch is classified as “Segregation from All,” meaning she will not be moved around jail with other inmates. Stauch is also classified as a full restraint escape risk, meaning she will not be transported outside of the facility without full restraints being placed on her wrists and ankles and her wrists will be secured to a belt around her waist. Escape: Advisement hearing on 6/5/20. And status hearing on Gannon’s murder on 6/5/20 both at 9am. Divorce: Setting hearing on 6/18.
6/5/20 Update: Kathryn Strobel, Stauch's lead attorney, acknowledges new charge of solicitation of escape, and waives further reading and advisements. Sounds like she's officially charged with that count. Ms. Chalmers has withdrawn as defense counsel. Her bond on that charge is $2k. Judge Greg Werner stays all proceedings. The competency evaluation will introduce weeks, if not months, of delays in Stauch's murder case, as state psychiatrists assess whether she is mentally fit to be prosecuted. Defense on Thursday (6/4/20) filed a sealed motion raising issue of Stauch's competency. Judge says it doesn't have enough info for him to rule. He is required to order that she be evaluated for competency. Prosecutor Martha McKinney makes a motion: If state hospital finds Stauch incompetent, McKinney wants judge to halt immediate restoration treatment, to allow for second evaluation at prosecution's request. Stauch's evaluation will be at Colorado Mental Health Institute at Pueblo. Likely to take 90 days at least. July 17th at 9am for next meeting after mental health evaluation. Authorities here have received a jawbone from remains found in Florida, and a prosecution expert ID'd it as Gannon. "It is Gannon," Allen says. But, prosecution still doesn't have autopsy report. However, decomposition has hampered a Florida medical examiner's effort to complete the autopsy, so no report available, Allen says. He says local expert is also in possession of molars taken from remains. Those will be studied within 2 weeks. Judge schedules a return hearing for Sept. 8 at 1:30 p.m. to receive competency report.
6/9/20 Update: The defense team's request for a competency evaluation was granted during court proceedings Friday, meaning Letecia Stauch could be moved to the state hospital in Pueblo as soon as this week (6/8 thru 6/12/20). "The defendant is going to be evaluated for competency, which means that she will be evaluated to see if she understands the proceedings, the nature of the charges, the role of people in the courtroom including her defense council, prosecution and the judge," Deputy District Attorney Michael Allen.

They'll be back , just on hiatus until things reheat. When this was going down it was very intense for several months. I saw the same people posting day and night, and day after day. I miss them too.

El Paso County Criminal Justice Center ( CJC ) where LS is an inmate will be shoring up their security. Yikes, it sounds like it’s way overdue IMO. Hopefully it will be tightened up good when she gets back from Pueblo.
Have we heard if she’s made the transfer yet? I can’t find any news about it.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is to receive $13.6 million in federal COVID-19 relief funds, nearly half of which will be used to shore up security at the county jail.
Criminal Justice Center operators have complained for more than a decade that inmates have figured out how to pry open locks on their cell-room doors, letting them get out long enough to attack gang rivals, ambush state's witnesses and commit other acts of mayhem inside the jail.
Thanks to the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act, Sheriff Bill Elder’s office said it will finally address the problem — by replacing every cell door lock, and overhauling the video surveillance and door control systems.

1. What did the DA file and why?
The documents the DA filed with the court on June 2, 2020 are requesting the court to conduct an in-camera review of documents from the Dept of Health Services (DHS) that were provided to the DA under seal.
The DA is seeking direction from the court whether or not the documents should be shared with LS and her Defense, and if so, under what appropriate protection order. The People are presenting the documents to the court because the people believe they may contain information relevant to this case.
2. What is the Dept of Health Services (DHS)?
I think most associate DHS with the Child Welfare Department which is a division of the Office of Children Youth and Families that does in-fact fall under DHS.
However, DHS houses many other divisions under its state umbrella including:
- Office of Adult Aging, and Disability Services;
- Office of Behavior Health;
- Office of Early Childhood;
- Office of Economic Security; and
- Operations for the entire DHS including Communications, Human Resources, Facilities Management, Business Technology, Project Management, and Leadership.
I think the DA obtained the DHS documents from either Colorado or South Carolina.
If the documents are from Colorado DHS, they are most likely related to records from the Office of Children, Youth, and Families - Division of Child Welfare.
4. [P-05] is Peoples Motion for Camera Review of Department of Human Resources Documents.
However, if the documents came from South Carolina, I think they may be totally unrelated to the Division of Child Welfare because the Department of Human Resources (from Motion title P-05) actually falls under the Department of Operations.
Take note the title of the motion states Department of Human Resources and not DHS so it could be HR for DHS.
I recall that LS's two longest jobs seemed to be in SC before she married AS in 2015. According to MSM, LS was employed as an education specialist and teacher and at-risk youth coordinator in South Carolina. She also worked for the South Carolina State Department of Social Services as a human services specialist from 2008 to 2010 in Myrtle Beach, according to her Linkedin profile.
If the motion title above is correct, I think it's possible the documents discovered with information that could be related to this case might be from South Carolina's Dept of Social Services, and the DA is waiting to hear whether on not they must share the documents with the defense.
