A “feel good “ story for a change. The young man who composed a ballad called Gannon’s Song and performed it at the memorial in Colorado will now be able to attend the memorial in South Carolina next month!

G’s friend and classmate, Tristan did a fundraiser with a goal of $1700 for the trip. He’s raised $4098 so far and someone has donated the hotel rooms, bless them. The funds not needed for the trip will now be donated directly towards a permanent memorial at G’s last school.

EBM removed SS because it had names.

So happy to see this. The last time I checked just a couple days ago, he was only about halfway to his goal. The news article must have helped get the word out.

Greetings, all.

I dumped FB for months but found with my kids back in school, that is the best way to stay on top of school-related things. I haven't been reading much on the Gannon pages, though. I see updates from LH's aunt that I read to keep sort of up to date. But have sort of been trying to avoid it. I must admit, I am feeling anxious about the upcoming trial and even coming here. I want to keep up, but this case sent me into such a major emotional spiral and I just don't know if I can go there again. :( Then I feel selfish and callous. If his family can be strong, I should be strong for them.

How do you veterans do it?
I agree that it is very emotional, at least for me, to read or watch anything regarding G-man
Someone sent me the photos of Gannon in bed that are now in color instead of the black and white photos, and it took me 2 days before I could actually look at them up close--it just broke my heart.
I am anxiously awaiting the trial but I also know that I will not want to hear the horrific evidence I am sure will come out in court.
We are all here for you and for Gannon

I understand how these photos can affect you and others.

We'll all be hoping and praying for justice, along with AS and LH.

For sure. Over $4100 donated. Tristan's Mom says what isn't used for the trip will go to a memorial at Gannon's school.
Great story. What a kid!

Several times, I've had to get away from the news, websites with crime stories, and my own personal facebook, just to let my mind and heart take a break. It is very cleansing, and I highly recommend taking breaks!

I agree with this.

However, donuts/treats and beverages are a "must" every day.

Well... we all knew she was going to pull some kind of flakey junk. Here it is.
I was livid reading this. All y'all watch yourselves, or we'll all be in band camp together.

She can’t help but run her mouth. My favorite part was her complaint about being restrained, especially her hands going numb. Well gee T, how ‘bout you don’t slip your cuffs and attack a deputy? Then your restraints don’t have to be so tight all the time.

Geez. No words. (that I can say here)

We don't even have the full, awful, terrible details yet, but knowing how many weapons she is charged with using, and what horrors she put that sweet boy through, makes me sick to my stomach reading her whiney blathering about how she's suffering in jail. Absolutely unbelievable.

When poor LH reads this she might implode with fury. I might, if I were her.
Prayers for her and AS and those that need to brace themselves before they see this.
