I think it is important to remember that HH was 17 or 18 in 2020 - a kid (18yr old legal adult is a kid to me in this context) doing what her mother told her to do. Even if LS was explicit about why she needed HH to buy supplies, what was in the suitcase, and why the drive to Florida, it would be unreasonable to expect HH to say “Stop the car, Mom. This isn’t right. I’m calling 911. I’m going to have you arrested, Mom.” HH had/has LS, and that’s it. And, of course, HH doesn’t want to end up like Gannon.

That said, I’m sure HH was threatened with accessory charges.

At that age, couldn’t HH be charged as an adult? In my state a 17 yo can be charged as an adult.

The thing about trials is that one never can assume accurately what a jury is thinking or a judge's decision. I don't know what is causing him to pause? I didn't see a reasonable doubt being presented by the defense here.

I think the prosecution clearly and firmly kicked their points home and left no shadows of doubts..

I’m curious too about what the Judge has to mull over. He said there are things he didn’t know until today. I know none of US knew the actual injuries in the autopsy report. It wasn’t in the AA of course because they hadn’t found a body yet when that was written.But I’m sure it was in Discovery and no surprise to the Defense. So serious question.. Does the Judge know everything in Discovery going into a Prelim ?

It wasn’t in the AA of course because they hadn’t found a body yet when that was written.But I’m sure it was in Discovery and no surprise to the Defense. So serious question.. Does the Judge know everything in Discovery going into a Prelim ?

I would have expected he would at least have a list of points , exhibits, witnesses.
But I'm only assuming.

There was a uhaul truck also with their belongings right? If there was a random suitcase in there I don't think HH would even notice. I'm curious what reason LS had for driving to FL before going to wherever it was SC or NC.. that isn't exactly on the way from Colorado.

At the time, it was reported she went to a biker rally. In fact, she mentioned it on her SM somewhere, IIRC.

Excuse me, Will Cook is up for Letecia Stauch. He’s another one of her lawyers, and says her last name with a “ouch” which I believe is incorrect.

I believe Stauch rhymes with "couch" so his pronunciation is correct. In German the "ch" would be silent so it would sound like "cow."

Setting the decision for preliminary hearing out for September 23rd 9AM. Whoops! Sorry guys, not tomorrow, it will be a few weeks. Judge says "I took a lot of notes, i have pages of notes. I have to make the findings on the evidence presented."

"I know you want me to make a decision now, but I want to make sure I get it right. I'm sure you want that too." "I didn't know a lot of what they said today, it's new info. I need time to do what I need to do whatever that may be."

In fairness he has to balance his decisions on the laws of the state. There isn't time to change them now.

Bodycam footage also recorded Stauch as she complained about having to clean a mess Gannon made in the living room. She told Younkin that Gannon was likely at a friend’s house, although police would later say he was already deceased at that point, and hidden inside a suitcase.

Younkin said he wasn’t sure if the suitcase was at the residence when he was there, but admitted that he never searched specifically for a suitcase. He said at the time, nothing indicated that Gannon had been physically harmed.

Much earlier today before court started, there was a brief comment of her appearance, stating that she was there on the monitor and her hair was past her elbows. That was about the extent of any description. Hope this helps!

Wow. I'd like to know too. But having access to pieces of evidence doesn't necessarily tell the story without testimony. Would he have access to any depositions too? Seems odd to me that the judge would have mulled over most of the case before ever "hearing it." (We always talk about not being able to unring a bell re: juries)

If he did have access, my guess about why he wants time to think is that he heard something today that didn't fit with his preconceived ideas based on his previous access to "the facts." I'm glad he's taking time myself even if it's hard for travelers. I want him to get it right.

She knew she was going to kill Gannon that day. And her sick perverse mind took this last picture of him. It's difficult to image a mind foreseeing the picture being yet another weapon to inflict pain onto Gannon's parents.

Myself as well on a Tee hair report. Wonder if she’s changed the oil in it lately. Washing it with bar soap is nasty. Sorry to say, I enjoy any discomfort or inconvenience she has because of what she did to G. She’s not human!

Well, he certainly wouldn't have foreknowledge of responses to cross examination.
But, I didn't hear anything that could give him pause from those responses.
