... but aren't we just assuming they couldn't smell anything?

I am a medical professional fully knowledgeable of the physiological changes after a body's death. It's just not possible for that process to be odorless. I was waiting to hear about plastic wrapping, kitty litter, bleach or something.

Where is @10ofRods ?

This may be covered further down the thread as I am reacting as I am reading, but now you have mentioned Kitty litter the petco stop is jumping out at me!

So her Attorney said “ nice house, nice stepmother.. no signs of difficulties or financial problems. Has he seen her Google searches from just 2 days prior??!

Well, he certainly wouldn't have foreknowledge of responses to cross examination.
But, I didn't hear anything that could give him pause from those responses.

True. But I didn't really mean something that made him think "whoa, maybe she didn't do it" but something that just didn't fit with the way he thought the crime occurred based on his early access to materials.

I have to admit, I didn't know that judges had quite as much advance knowledge at a prelim (or a bench trial) as it sounds like they may have.

She knew she was going to kill Gannon that day. And her sick perverse mind took this last picture of him. It's difficult to image a mind foreseeing the picture being yet another weapon to inflict pain onto Gannon's parents.
I agree! I think she planned on murdering G later that day after the pic was taken. She was in a “homicidal” frame of mind already. Moo! I really think she intended to kill him while running around all over the place earlier in the day in Al’s truck. I think she lost her nerve & was afraid she’d be seen. At home, no one would see her kill him. Idk, my mind is not in a good place right now. I have no words to adequately describe what I think of her.

Thank you to @Cindizzi @Yellow Rose @Seattle1 and anyone else I’ve mistakenly missed who kept us updated with the tweets! Awesome job! It was much easier than Morphews tweeted prelim, not very many interrupting posts in between your posts. Made the tweets flow much easier! Awesome Job everyone! Moo
#Justice4Gannon on the way! Strong, strong case!

@Niner ?
Do you have a handy link to pre-trial arguments by any chance, please?

So very frustrated that they didn't make her stay and SEE the photos of what she'd done. What a disgusting piece of... work. I'm sure she didn't want to view evidence because anyone who saw her face would have seen the truth written all over it. Gannon's parents had to sit through that. She should have too.

I agree. Not a fan of her being allowed to not only not attend in person, but to back out of the video appearance too. Face what you've done, you coward.

That makes sense if it wasn’t him but everybody keeps saying he got into the truck but not out

When they left the house the ring camera caught Gannon getting into the truck because it was backed in the driveway. When they returned home, L pulled the truck in facing front. The truck was blocking the ring camera so you couldn’t see him getting out!

The thing about trials is that one never can assume accurately what a jury is thinking or a judge's decision. I don't know what is causing him to pause? I didn't see a reasonable doubt being presented by the defense here.

I think the prosecution clearly and firmly kicked their points home and left no shadows of doubts..

It didn't really seem to me that her defence counsel was actively trying to save her in all honesty, maybe he is saving his big game for the trial!

I can see her torturing everyone by waiting till the first day of Trail and pleading guilty.
There is no way she is going to sit thru a Trial.

Wow. I'd like to know too. But having access to pieces of evidence doesn't necessarily tell the story without testimony. Would he have access to any depositions too? Seems odd to me that the judge would have mulled over most of the case before ever "hearing it." (We always talk about not being able to unring a bell re: juries)

If he did have access, my guess about why he wants time to think is that he heard something today that didn't fit with his preconceived ideas based on his previous access to "the facts." I'm glad he's taking time myself even if it's hard for travelers. I want him to get it right.
Did he watch Barry’s Preliminary Hearing? Jeez this was so compelling but ok- take your time

True.
Well, we know Ls's motivation in going for trial rather than confession.
Malice.
He's a good lawyer, I wonder f she will allow herself to be persuaded to plead guilty at the outset of the trial proper in exchange for favourable prison conditions?

So she killed him after?

This is sad and malicious of me but I was expecting report on her hair at least...

Shes growing it out for a Rapunzel-esque escape plan....
