NEW: Court documents released in #LeteciaStauch’s case, regarding the defense’s plan to introduce evidence related to her mental health after the alleged murder of #GannonStauch, are online.

Here’s a few issues addressed by @4thJudicialDA Michael Allen, the lead prosecutor:

https://twitter.com/colettebordelon/status/1463140306535292932?s=21
Remember, the defense said the mental health issue is not an insanity plea. The judge alluded to the fact that it could be related to charges like tampering with a body.

#Stauch’s lawyers also filed a motion, asking to seal any records of her meeting with her attorneys:

https://twitter.com/colettebordelon/status/1463141204154060808?s=21
But, prosecutors say in their brief that #LeteciaStauch is waiving her attorney-client privilege by placing her “mental condition at issue.”

Here’s that portion of the document:

So now we wait on yet another mental health evaluation. Shocking.

She is just proving once again what a despicable excuse for a human being she really is.

So, trying to wade through the legal speak in the above referenced motions and the gist of what I'm getting is LS wants all visits/conversations she has with her attorneys present to be covered by attorney-client privacy. The state, however, is saying NOPE in regards to any sort of mental evaluation. Am I understanding this correctly?

What does she have up her sleeve? Obviously nothing really, but what does she think she has? She wants to bring up her mental state, not for an insanity plea, but in regards to her actions in the days after Gannon's death... And she wants attorney-client privilege... Why? From what we know about how she works, I'd guess she has yet another convoluted story she's dreamt up that she doesn't want the prosecution to be able to investigate.:confused:

Could it be this simple? She's been ruled competent but her attorneys are finding it impossible to work with her? I imagine them trying to explain the intricacies of the charges against her and her best defense while she sings some version of the constitution. For all we know, she's still spouting off to them about Eguardo, peanut butter, universal apologies, shadow technology and her ace in the hole -- which is a whole lot of horse rubbish but I just don't know that she has the capacity to sit still and listen.

Is this anything more than, "Judge, we can't get her to stop talking"?

She's sane but I bet no one can talk any sense into her.

I thought it was a given that all meeting between counsel and the defendant were attorney client privilege? I am so confused.

IMO my opinion may be unfavorable amongst most . it is my belief she does have pre existing mental health issues and quite possible a personality disorder and is over playing it /hamming it up to stall going to trial as long as possible. I am not doctor of any kind, I think she would never admit to having these issues outside the wall of her current confinement. Everything I have read about her points to her having an over inflated sense of importance , paranoia, with narcissistic traits. It is my believe she used some of these traits in her daily life on the outside, but she could only put up this front for so long indicated by her employment history. I am left wondering how she managed to be married to MR Stauch for as long as she did . I wondering if due to the fact that Mr stauch was away from the home so much she managed to somewhat keep it together.

I am not saying she should get off in any way or even get another chance on the outside. Its also my belief she is actually a dangerous person. she appears to have no insight into her behavior and is convinced if she just wordsmiths well enough she will be able to talk her way out of this one.

I wouldn't be surprised if she ends up in a state mental health insinuation due to this very behavior because there is no current treatment that would make her a safe person any time in the future. she isn't going anywhere fast. IMO.
This is a terrible senseless crime she has allegedly committed.

Seems you’ve got the right idea—LS is headed to an institute if she succeeds. She thinks it’ll be an easy escape and/or lots of legal drugs until next move years and years from now.

Going purely on my memory in the regards "Judge, we can't get her to stop talking"? I saw a trial where the accused wouldn't stop disrupting the proceedings so the judge kicked the accused out and they went ahead without them for that particular hearing. Apologies I cant remember if it was this case or another.

I think a defendant being gagged was done in the trial of the Chicago 7 proceedings. But, I'm also thinkjng there was a case more recent than that where the guy was gagged - maybe he kept spitting? Or resorted to spitting after a mask was fastened to his head? Idk. But, yeah, I keep picturing T walking in all Hannibal-like just like somebody's avatar, lol. It should happen, imo.

What I would love to see happen is T, Lori Cox, as well as a certain unnamed person all locked in padded rooms, wrapped in straight-jackets, and studied by John Douglas and the like. We could learn so much about that type of psyche.

I’m sure Leticia has a nice variety of mental health issues and/or personality disorders but they won’t save her from spending the rest of her life in prison. Most people who have been diagnosed with them manage to get thru life without murdering a child. It’s just another attempted distraction.

As part of the divorce, did she keep his last name?

I wish the Judge would surgically remove it from her.

Absolutely agree ^. I don't remember her maiden name, so 'T' is what I try to roll with when typing & Ill mess up forgetting sometimes. But, feels weird/wrong/cringy, to me, attaching Stauch to her knowing how she did the people actually born with the name. Same with attaching Vallow to Lori Cox- she did the Vallow family wrong, so imo, she herself created that distance from that name. Again, I'll mess up sometimes cause LVD is the usual reference. But, makes me wanna bite my fist and facepalm myself when I do that.

I think LS was "Hardin" before she took Al's name of Stauch but it could have been "Hardin-Hunt."

don't know which one it is either - from my notes:

Hardin is her maiden name and Hunt was her married name from her first marriage.
