5/12/21 Update: Preliminary hearing moved to 9/9 & 9/10/21. Judge Gregory Werner appoints Mr. Josh Tolini as Defense Counsel. He was formerly the Advisory Counsel but needs this time to review all the discovery & be fit to proceed given his schedule before that, he claimed. Preliminary hearings moved to 9/9 & 9/10/21.
9/9/21 Update: Stauch will appear today from the El Paso County Jail via WebEx. Judge Gregory Wierner presiding. Her defense attorney, Joshua Tolini, tells Judge Gregory Werner that Letecia wants the preliminary hearing to go forward but did not want to attend in person. Judge says they will give her another chance to join in tomorrow, but for now, Stauch is out. She left the hallway. 4th Judicial DA is now saying he objects. Judge Werner says he hasn't made his decision on whether or not she can actually do that. The DA asks that Letecia's decision not to attend constitute a waiver of the entire preliminary hearing. Judge denies that request & says the hearing will go forward without Letecia.
Prosecution calling up the first witness Sgt. Jason Yoder with the Santa Rosa County Sheriff's office with major crimes unit in Florida, who responded to a body found under the Highway 90 bridge in a suitcase on 3/17/20. The body had a fractured skull, a gunshot wound to the lower left jaw area, two stab wounds on the chest & back & other sharp force wounds, Yoder said. That body was confirmed to be Gannon's by DNA evidence, Yoder said. There was a projectile recovered from his skull. That was sent to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office. During an X-ray, two projectiles were found in a pillow. First exhibit brought up on the screen is the missing flyer for Gannon. A photo of the suitcase under the Escambia River Bridge. Photos of a pillow with blue sharks & a matching shark comforter with two blankets were shown. Sgt. Yoder confirms Gannon's cause of death was a gunshot wound & blunt force trauma. He added that his body had been in the suitcase for over a month based on the body's decomposition. Cross-examination by Josh Tolini. Dave Young on re-direct.

Kevin Clark, employed with 4th Judicial DA. At time of Gannon's disappearance, worked for CSPD during the investigation & assisted the FBI & EPCSO. Clark has experience in investigating cell phone information & GPS trackers. A number of exhibits showing maps tracking location of VW Tiguan on January 28th, 2020, Stauch registered vehicle locations. A map from the morning of Jan. 28, 2020, showing Stauch's VW Tiguan Telematics. Stauch's phone has been off the network at this point for around two hours. When she exits Briargate at 9:51 PM, the phone connects to wifi at the Hilton hotel & then at Starbucks in the Promenade Shops. The phone is still on airplane, but now it can communicate. For 55 minutes after connecting to Wifi, she connects with her daughter Harley. Clark testified about tracking data from Stauch's vehicle. It shows her driving around the Pikes Peak Region on the night after investigators believe she killed Gannon. The tracking data show her driving up & down roads & traveling into Douglas County. Next day, Wednesday, Sheriff's office takes Letecia's phone & car. They also take Harley's car. Back to a GPS tracker used on Friday, when Stauch used a different vehicle rented by her aunt.

Is there a quick way to delete a post please?

Of all the posts to "double post", it had to be quoting Niner.

And by the way, the site seems to be running slow again today. Not that I'm using that reason as an excuse

Is it Gabby? Can't remember surname.

So delete word by word. I'm going to have to be careful quoting your long posts in future  Only joking.

Although tomorrow is a foregone conclusion, I'll be here to see how this thing goes down. My hope is she's in the courtroom, and doesn't take kindly to what the judge has to say.

She's such a coward she couldn't show her face last time, so she'll hate this.

Today. I'm not sure why the judge didn't call this right up front, but I'm thinking that it will be going forward. Will it be streamed?

Decision day for #LeteciaStauch’s potential trial.

We already went through the preliminary hearing where we learned an awful lot about what investigators believe happened to #GannonStauch.

Today the judge is expected to decide which charges go to trial and bail.

The moment has been nearly two years coming for family and friends of 11-year-old Gannon Stauch, who disappeared from his Fountain, Colorado home in January 2020 and was found stuffed in a suitcase in Florida two months later. Investigators say the person responsible for shooting, stabbing and beating the young boy was his stepmother, 37-year-old Letecia Stauch.

Landon Holt, (Gannon's mom) just walked in (there was some question if they were going to just appear over WebEx, but guess not!) She's sporting the same blue eye shadow. Didn't notice it before today but she's got a large tattoo of Gannon on her left arm.
