Gannon Stauch case: Stepmother arrested in connection with 11-year-old's disappearance

Letecia Stauch, the step-mother of Gannon Stauch, has been arrested in connection with the disappearance of the 11-year-old who went missing on Jan. 27 from his Colorado Springs home.

Stauch is being held for investigation of first-degree murder, said Cynthia Coffman, a family spokeswoman. The family was notified of the arrest on Monday morning.

It says First Degree Murder.

So much for the case "getting cold," as some feared. This is actually a fairly quick investigation and arrest. I bet they have an entire mountain of evidence against her.

If she can tell them where Gannon is, she can probably avoid life in prison without parole. It must be very aggravating to her to be cut off from all social media. I bet she'll be under some form of psychiatric care or in a special cell by the end of today or tomorrow.

I told y'all yesterday that I couldn't shake thinking this was coming today! I kept thinking maybe there were actually 2 searches Saturday---the public one everyone was watching and another disclosed one happening at the same time where they possibly suspected to find something...maybe, maybe not. Either way, she's in custody finally.

Oh man with all of this excitement, it just hit me like a ton of bricks. I am so sad for Gannon. We all knew what they suspect but man I'm so sad for him and his parents.
