I’ve been away all morning so this has probably already been covered. I live in Larkspur in southern Douglas County and apparently they’re searching for Gannon across from Woodmoor Estates on Highway 105.

I’m just so sad.
Ugh. :(

I have a feeling this is going to be extremely unpopular, but...

What if SM is telling the truth? She could possibly have narcissistic tendencies and possibly has dissociative disorder. Mix that with the pressure she may put on herself for not being Gannon's "real mom". She might not have been a good mother - those issues would contribute to that.

Has anyone else here been absolutely terrified that you are going to be caught in a store shoplifting yet you've never stolen anything before? You don't even have any intention of stealing but you are just freaking out over it. That probably draws more attention to you and makes you look suspicious. I am very familiar with that and I've never stolen anything. Ever. I'm not sure how to word it but I think that could possibly apply if she is innocent. She's making herself look guilty.

Anyway, just what if she's telling the truth.

Edited to add reasoning: I really, really, really want Gannon to be a runaway. There might be a chance he's out there.
But how the heck does a runaway travel that amount of distance (LR to 105 possibly) without anyone seeing him in frigid snowy weather?!?! No eleven year old has those kind of ninja skills, no matter how much they think they do!

Not sure what I can reply to this without going back and sifting through MSM, but I *think* all of this is accurate AFAIK according to MSM -
AS (dad) is army, likely AGR meaning he has a full time postion at a National Guard unit which was reportedly the 100th Missile Defense located at Shreiver (sp?) AFB. That said, Military is military and with a dependent ID she could access any base ( of which there are I believe 5 in Co. Springs including USAFA)
And yes, USAFA is located toward the north part of El Paso County, but not *that* far north. Not close to S Douglas Cty. And honestly, going onto a military base to commit a crime would be terrifying imo. There is so much open space in true northern EPC / southern DC, I cannot imagine USAFA is at all probable.
The Tri-lakes area is futher west by I-25, there's massive road construction and what looks to be 1 hour by car would likely be 1.5. The Black Forest area and ?? Canyon state park area (Drawing a blank on the name) on the east side up highway 83 seems much more likely, with tons (i mean TONS) of back roads and open space.

JMO
Yes, I'm familiar with the area as I live here. ;)
I was hypothetically thinking/speaking out loud.
I wasn't meaning to go on base to do anything. I meant IF someone had gone in that general area, it's not far from the north end of town/EPC and definitely NOT far from the south end of DC.

Is Woodmoor Lake in the search area?

I'm trying to get out of the rut my brain is in that TS is guilty.

So let's say he did get abducted. I have questions.
  1. Why would LE have not released a vehicle or person description? We can clearly see any vehicle that would have stopped in front of the house would have been caught on camera. With the amount of cameras prevalent today I can imagine that surely Gannon would have been caught on camera getting into someone's car or perhaps a new car driving around in the neighborhood around the time he disappeared could be part of the search.
  2. Why would there not be an Amber Alert as soon as it was discovered that he did not runaway and was indeed abducted? What about this case does not make it qualify for an Amber Alert?
  3. If he was abducted by the bio-mom's compatriots like TS has been hinting at, why is bio-mom still hanging around and why did TS leave and AS is ok with it?
  4. Where would these people be hiding Gannon? Are searches being made in these places? Why is LE focused on reservoirs and lakes if TS's implications are what actually happened?
That's all I can think of off-hand but I'm sure I will come up with more.

I’m local - just to clarify Palmer Lake is heavily trafficked and it would be a difficult place to hide anything. The trail system from Palmer lake to monument is constantly in use and she would have had to physically carry him from her vehicle in plain sight of everyone. Not sure if there are cameras, but I have never - in my 30 years here - seen the recreation area at Palmer Lake empty.
The Woodmoor mountain area mentioned by reporters is more like a parking lot surrounded by homes and private property. My guess would be they are searching near spruce mountain ( Far southern Douglas county) but this would again require her to be in a busy hiking area, in broad daylight with a decent talk to anywhere out of sight. IMO
But I don't think she would go on any of the actual "trails." I lived in Monument/Palmer Lake, (and presently live in the Springs) and there are so many roads where you can just go and not be seen.

I'm right there with you. I'm at the anger stage. Who is this person who took Gannon? How can they live with themselves? Why can't they come forward and speak the truth? Why is LS continually trying to find a way to disconnect herself from this case? Why does she give no details at all where it would help (if she can't name the friend, she at least knows where the friend lives - and therefore where Gannon was heading - north, south, east or west in their neighborhood - you'd think that would be on one of her posters!)
I just dont know how anyone can hurt a child. They are innocence and the future. If I know one thing, LS is guilty of being a nasty nasty person who only cares for herself. This little boy was born a fighter. He has inspired more people than she ever will. He has taught more lessons about life, love and bravery than she could ever imagine. For her to say awful things about his mother shows her character. That was enough for me. Her character is flawed and she is not a good person. Your job as a mother, father, and step parent is to protect, give your life for these children. They are everything thats good in this world. I hope this angel is safe.

That interview, without saying so, confirmed FOR ME, that LS is full of complete and utter CRAP.

I live on USAFA (Air Force Academy) and have thought of several hiking trails on base, including some that go off base. I'm just not sure how much access guard members have. Anything found on base would have federal consequences so I keep thinking that probably isn't likely. She's not that stupid, is she?!?!

Everyone keeps mentioning 83 to the east, but there is also 105 on the west side of I-25. You can access Rampart range (rr) road from there, as well as several hiking trails. I learned my lesson on winter driving trying to get up to RR, tho, and it would not be an easy drive. Even with 4wd.

Some folks may remember the Kevin Rudnicki case from a year or so ago, as well as another one (name eludes me) the year prior. Both from Monument and Mt Herman. That forest Rd comes out close to Douglas county on RR.

Yes, Tim Watkins too. Kevin committed suicide I believe? But Tim was shot and killed. We lived in Monument then.
And yes, I said the same, 83 and 105 are both options if she wanted to stay out of eyes on 25 for sure.
And lots and lots of areas that one could drive to without even getting on any trails really.
No, I don't think anyone would go on base. I was mentioning that as some people have referenced certain things about a certain branch of the military, but that's all I will say. IMO

i have a question about date/time/location stamps on cell phone photos and i am hoping i can explain it right...

if i was to take a photo at 1pm on monday, but on thursday at 4pm i took a screenshot of this photo and cropped out the edges to make it appear identical to the first photo, then delete the monday photo, would the date/time info on this new cropped photo be the monday time or the thursday time ?

I don’t think that works. I’m definitely not an expert in this sort of thing, but it’s my understanding that most phones store very detailed data about photos.

This includes the date, time, and even location in many circumstances.

Taking a screenshot wouldn’t capture that information. It would change the time stamp, but wouldn’t capture what I guess is called “EXIF data.”

I imagine her phone was downloaded early on, so law enforcement knows a lot more than we think they do.

Here’s an online tool if you want to experiment.

If, on the off chance TS is actually entirely and completely innocent of any wrongdoing in this case, there's a couple of things I'd advise her to do:

1. Shut her mouth - after she apologizes to both AS and LH for being such a witch
2. Get offline

That was the kindest way I could come up with, to say that.

She was adamant that they believe Gannon is alive. Which means they have credible information pointing towards that. Hmmmmm.. Would they be THAT adamant if they thought he wasn't alive? Give false hope? Is it a trap?
Maybe LE is letting her think that they "believe" her lies. Makes her feel comfortable because everyone else on this planet isn't buying her load of manure and she knows it. In the meantime, she's getting all tangled up in the lies she's told and continues to tell to try and cover all the evidence she's knows they have or will yet find. As each day passes, that web is pulling in, tighter and tighter.

"Oh what a tangled web we weave, when we practice to deceive!"

She's about as tangled as it gets :p JMHO

Hmmm...I'd be surprised if the stepmother has any connection with this area. Pretty upscale neighborhood, and not where a body would be placed, IMO.

If not her, then who has a connection to this area?
I don’t think she went there with a body. I think she took Gannon to someone to keep him safely in hiding. I think LS is connected to someone who is connected to where Gannon is. imo

I am thinking he will be found when everything starts to thaw around here. Very sad. I am hoping I am wrong.

I think the thread would reach “critical mass” in about 1 min., give or take :). I just don’t think we could handle it!
I doubt we’d be able to get a word in edgewise. JMO.

Not for one minute do I believe her. Twisting the story on what happened to Gannon. Taking away the suspicion on her. Suddenly she's saying he cut himself on the foot Saturday. But was able to hike on Sunday really!
From the beginning she has bashed LE. During the hours she being interviewed she wasn't allowed this or that. Then we have the story of her being at Marshall's and the police suddenly drew their guns. Really! How would someone believe anything she says? Gannon's dad stated she basically didn't tell the truth. I would believe in the Loch Ness Monster before believing in her time line.

  • #159
she is so comfortable with lying and fluidly adjusting the narrative to save her hide the bigger picture of her totality of moving the goal posts eludes her.....

don't think it eludes LE however.
the ship is sinking.

moo

This is so well put.

That’s precisely the problem. In order to believe the abduction theory, one has to make tremendous leaps.

In order to believe what most of us believe, one need look no further than the facts.

I’d have to ignore them to believe anything else. I’d also have to ignore the startling statements made by SM.

No evidence of an abduction. No evidence that he ran away. The Google search, which if true, points to deception. The surveillance footage which appears to destroy SM’s narrative.

And of course, the victim blaming (bio mom) alibi building, statements put out by SM.

That’s a bridge too far.
