I was one of the ones fooled by that one- I thought that was an actual newspaper being quoted

Palmer Lake is +/- 36 miles north of Gannon's house. The search is a few miles north of the lake off Hwy 105.

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- The search for missing 11-year-old Gannon Stauch continues off highway 105 in Douglas County, just a couple miles north of Palmer Lake, as temperatures warm up to the mid-forties.

Search and rescue crews from the FBI, El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, and the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office were stationed in the area of 13800 S Perry Road on Wednesday and Thursday.

The black and white dog in the photograph is wearing a gray harness. Most SAR dogs wear orange harnesses/vests. This is curious to me as to what is going on.

The news that they are not using citizen volunteers breaks my heart a little bit. Makes me think they are close and don't anticipate finding signs of life.
I pray for the best but fear the worst.

GANNON UPDATE: Crews are shoulder to shoulder checking every inch of snow with shovels and poles. We saw a sheriff’s office bloodhound team as well searching along this area.

They are searching about 45 minutes North of Fountain where GS home is.

The searchers are doing a bloody amazing job aren't they, it looks like real hard work digging and poking through that snow!!

IF they brought cadaver dogs to the house, does that mean they have evidence that he returned with TS on Monday?

MOO, If LE is using SAR canine(s) in the home, I don't think it would be related to Gannon's scent. Rather, I would postulate that LE found something that they wish to either rule in, or rule out, as to whether or not that something, or the owner of it, or someone who had been in possession of it, was in that home. Possibly something related to a third party yet to be named.

There would be no reason to take a dog in to that home to gain Gannon's scent, or TS's for that matter, as any item that either one of them used regularly could be used to give the dog that scent. MOO

Timing-wise, that distance works to fit within the Monday out/return car journeys IMO
