Hello everyone. I used to post on Websleuths several years ago but could not re-access my old profile, dylansmom34. I no longer have access to the old email and couldn't remember the password so I created a new profile today. I followed other cases in Colorado (Dylan Redwine mainly as well as Jessica Ridgeway and some others) and follow and continue to follow Kyron Horman's case which reminds me of Gannon's disappearance in so many ways. Anyway, Gannon's case has been bothering me so much. My son was also a preemie and weighed 1 1/2 pounds. He is an adult now but there are so many things about Gannon that remind me of my son, Dylan. I saw one of Gannon's youtube videos, my son also used to make similar videos. I haven't been on websleuths in quite a long time, I left years ago when some drama occurred on the Dylan Redwine threads but am anxiously following Gannon's thread. I have spent some time this morning reading back a bit. Gosh, it's all so overwhelming. Anyway, I'm glad to be back and hope there is some news soon about Gannon.

I have both a theory and a motive.

I think she grievously injured/harmed GS in such a way that she knew she could find herself facing criminal charges.

I think she then decided she had to get rid of the evidence in order to stay out of jail.

I guess I don't need to tell you whose body bore the evidence of her abusive behavior.

Her motive was self-preservation.

In her mind, she's all that matters here.

I absolutely agree, this was a coverup.

I’m not sure if she was worried about criminal charges, or if she was trying to either save her marriage, or save face.

Either way, Gannon is almost certainly dead, and she did it to protect herself.

It’s clear by her statements that everything is about her.

I wonder, those who feel Gannon was chronically abused...do you think his father was never there? That he simply left Gannon to his wife, never checking to find out how things really were? I am not sure I can buy into a father simply not noticing due to his wife’s alleged personality disorder how his own son is being treated, what his moods are, etc...there are many signs in a child of abuse and teachers often notice. Why wouldn’t his father? Just trying to make sense of this theory of regular abuse...

I think it's quite possible Gannon was chronically manipulated and it's possible that manipulation wasn't apparent when other people were around. I do consider manipulation to be psychological abuse, but it may also be one of the harder forms of abuse to identify. In my experience, manipulation also leads to fear and fear can be a real motivator. Or there could be rewards for keeping things quiet. IMO, there's a great deal of abuse of all varieties that goes unnoticed, because kids don't show the typical signs or it's written off as something else.

True, anything is possible. But if that's what happened why would she lie and say Gannon went to a friend's house down the street and then later say he may have been picked up by someone and that she told LE who may have sent that person and why?

She did sat she noticed that Gannon, on Saturday, kept going around to the side of the house so why wouldn't she tell LE all this when they first interviewed her?

Yeah, that's ridiculous. Could he have lost the key to gate, and that angered her?

IMO re the gate/key statement... maybe she is trying to cover for some statement or msg she made about a gate and this actually has something to do with where his body is? But, she is trying to pass it off as talking about their gate at home? So, maybe there is a msg she sent someone about a gate being locked & she is trying to explain that. Just a thought...

Or she is trying to explain a blood trail from the garage to the gate.
In the end, I think we will see how scattered she really is.

Certainly another sad case.
My little dog follows them all, at present sitting on my lap, as she wants her walk.
With little Faye's horrid finding, waiting for Gannon, these children cases are most disturbing.

Gannon's father may not have been as aware as he should have. We really have no clue, do we? Just IMO --there are likely many parents that would fall short of a perfect score, subjected to this intense scrutiny.

That said, my GUESS is that the resentment of the stepmother and, concurrently, her mistreatment of Gannon, escalated more recently. Possibly BD was starting to be frustrated and even concerned but did not see this coming .

Awful as she is, I do not believe she saw this coming.

Hello, I'm new here so please forgive me if I'm mentioning something that was already discussed..In the neighbor's surveillance video did anyone else notice that when G first opened the truck door to get in, an item fell out of the truck onto the ground (perhaps a water bottle, can't really tell), however, what is clear is that G did not bend over/down to pick it up..he just stood there until LS came back to the truck and picked it up.

How many people do you know have been interviewed by a reporter, accompanied by a camera person and also maybe a sound person, regarding a missing child who had been under your immediate charge? Depending on the level of stress and experiences in speaking to strangers regarding very delicate situations, we should expect her presentation might be different as compared to if she were participating in casual conversation with family members.

We filter ourselves.

I’m just thinking something along the lines of she has a text on her phone saying something like “He’s the only one with a key to the gate” and she needed to put out an explanation for it. It may have absolutely nothing to do with the gate at their house, and everything to do with the area of interest. IMO

I have no idea. I do not even like to judge her, considering the extraordinary circumstances. It is hard to tell how a person really is, in this type of specific parameters...
