Never seen a case quite like this... her ability to twist things and get you to assume by “reading between the lines” is incredible! Very scary person IMO and I can catch glimpses of how she gets people on her side! Fortunately for her, not everyone can see through it which is very unsettling. Moo

Yes, that's a great point! For example, she says Gannon got out of the truck from the passenger side and says "shadow" and suddenly we're all reviewing that video and looking for it. IOW she managed to create doubt.

Yes, there was absolutely no reason to bring up anything about blood. She could have just said on Saturday she noticed Gannon walking around to the side of the house if she wanted people to think he left that way. Instead she seemed to highlight details that might explain any evidence that was found. Jmo

Her bring up blood was preemptive...

What really jumped out at me was not one of us here or anywhere in internet land was talking about blood evidence in her car or home. Until SM brought it up, I explicably. That tells me there was blood evidence and that that evidence concerned SM enough that she felt she had to make a public statement that would get to LE or she is trying to reach AS.
Threading into dangerous waters here but blood was brought up by day 2 or 3 in internet land. Very vehemently.

From my little knowledge of dipping my toe into those waters I have never ever seen the gate or key brought up by anyone other than LS.

I wonder how far off the government is from being able to track a car via satellite. It seems like the technology might be there (or close). What if they know the car's exact location at an exact time. I would imagine it would be tricky, but with help from other devices (that may not get them close enough), I wonder what they could do-- if anything. Anyone know? It seems like it could one day be an economical solution in a case like this. Sorry if this is far-fetched. I'm sure it's been discussed before. MOO

My opinion: She was sending a loud and clear message to both.

JMO, but it's not out of the realm of possibility that she has no idea cell phones can be tracked and if she googled that on GS's phone, maybe it was really to find out the answer? And if so, it probably wouldn't click with her that the nav system in the truck does the same, and that's why LE is at the spot they are right now. If that's the case (but its JMO), the only reason I see them not arresting her is fear of lawyering up. Like someone else said, LE knows her profile type and probably appreciate her ability to make public statements.

It could be that SM feels she is of superior intelligence, that she may have (pure rumor) searched this on his phone as a way to go along with his story that he ran away? So she could say “see? He was planning an escape like I told you!” Does anyone have information as to what time/day the supposed search took place?

“UPDATE: @EPCSheriff confirms they are done searching for Gannon Stauch for the day in Douglas County.

Dozens of volunteers were in the southern part of the county earlier today for the 5th day in a row. We don’t know yet if they will be back out there tomorrow. @KDVR

Too bad it backfired and only drew more suspicion. I don't know what this woman is thinking half the time. She doesn't seem to have much self-awareness. Jmo

That is a great idea - about pinpointing the location based on video.

Thanks - I find that idea a boost I needed today. It's been a bit of a bummer here today.

And perhaps there was an unusually long amount of time before she passed by the first camera again.

And breathtakingly stupid.
Was it? Devil’s advocate thinking outside the box and all.
Wasn’t Pacino chilling in that movie? Breathtakingly. imo

I don't know what to make out of the lack of media updates today. Did LE ask media to back off for awhile? Or, is nothing going on? I'm assuming they are still there looking in the same place, but I don't see any updates.

Maybe the local evening news will have an update on the search.

I’m pretty impressed with how quiet they’ve been and how they’ve given statements without giving too much information.

@MassGuy turned me on to a really good suspense movie? on Netflix called Unbelievable based on a 100% true story. (No one blow the outcome in case people haven’t seen it). And what I really liked about it is it illustrates what it’s like when good detectives are working a case hard. I think it does a great job and showing it form their perspective. Hard. Thankless. Grueling. Fraught.

I feel really confident that Gannon’s case has good detectives who working this case with a intensity, passion and laser focus we can only imagine.

I have a good feeling that they’re going to be able to resolve this case.

I respect your opinion and theory. I truly do. And I fully believe folks should be considered innocent until proven guilty. I would like to understand why you think this is what (may have) happened. Is your theory, then, that this individual has taken the life of Gannon (thus the daily searches to find his remains)? Or is your theory that this person is holding Gannon for some reason, and has planted/left evidence in the areas that have been searched to throw-off investigators?

IF your theory is accurate, (and we know without a doubt there are numerous surveillance cameras in the neighborhood), why wouldn't LE release photos, vehicle information, time of departure, description of potential poi/suspect to the public? What would be the purpose of withholding this information if they feel Gannon is endangered? I don't believe they would keep this information from the public in order to prevent "tipping off" said individual? It could potentially be a threat to the public's safety, IMO.

If TS knows who is responsible (addressed in her statement), why hasn't SHE, in the interest of bringing Gannon home, provided the information to the public? How can the public be on the lookout for individual(s), vehicle(s), etc.? LE has indicated that ANYONE with information about Gannon's disappearance is considered a POI. Wouldn't she want (even against LE's advice), to take the public's focus off of herself?

I, personally, do not believe LE would be utilizing the services of numerous entities, digging in the snow at numerous locations, and collecting forensic evidence from the home or garage numerous times if the investigation indicated Gannon left with/was abducted by an unnamed individual. (Of course this would be my theory regarding the evidence collection I mentioned. I would be left to speculate that said individual would not want to risk losing a hair, dropping skin cells, leaving a fingerprint, or any other trace of themself(s) inside of the garage/home. But what would be the purpose for the collection then if the individual met Gannon outside)?

Pure speculation. But one possible theory is that IF there is another unknown individual, and this person is responsible for Gannon’s disappearance... what if TS and this unknown individual were involved in some kind of OTHER criminal activity? It would explain them taking so much evidence out of the house, and why TS is acting SO shady even if she really does not know where Gannon is now. She’s definitely hiding something, there’s a bigger picture, maybe why LE is alluding to this being very complicated, many pieces to the puzzle... MOO

I feel LE has a specific reason they have not named a suspect or POI. I don’t know what the strategy is, but I feel something boiling under the surface we cannot see. A lot has been said by what they have NOT said, IMO.

IMO they have camera footage of her passing a location on 105 but not passing the next camera location, they zeroed in on the roads between.

Staging at the 12802 Perry Park/105 Drive they searched the "35 acre" area there, then they backed out to the road, snow plowed the road, had crews shoulder to shoulder thoroughly poking through the ground at side of the road and the fence line.
Yesterday, they stopped at the access road just 90 ft. north of Sierra Pines Lanes and had the evidence team go over some thing there at the entrance by the gate or on the gate.

MOO moo they are getting something.

Man you’re smart! Great sleuthing. I never would’ve thought of that!

And that would be telling in and of itself.

People take their phones with them when they leave the house for a length of time, and if her phone remained there when the video shows her leaving, that’s damning.

It’s not game changing or anything, but it would fit perfectly into this puzzle.

Yes. If she’s the type whose phone is always on, always pinging and inexplicably it was off during that crucial four hours...

  • #1,218
That’s a good point. Cell phone location data was clearly on her mind, as evident in that alleged Google search.

I also think law enforcement would have had that information quite early, and we would have seen this search activity at that point, as opposed to now.

So I think it’s more likely that this information comes from GPS on her vehicle, surveillance footage, or a witness statement.

Whatever it is, I think the source is strong.

Isn't there a business nearby (antiques run by a veteran)? I have wondered if that shop has video of its lot and her car was seen on Monday and later. It is conceivable that he was disposed of and then she went back and disposed of things that might have been incriminating if the runaway story didn't hold. The day she went out shopping to the Marshall's with her daughter it seemed like they wanted that vehicle in that moment. Got to wonder if they were seen on cameras in that part of the town, which led to pursing surveillance there and out 105.

Jmo but L.e is not searching in such detail at the same place day after day for an object...they are searching for Gannon...
Maybe his phone? The time gap from missing\endangered\searching a specific area intensely leads me to guess it involves a tip\ping\specific info...MOO

I hope they found\find what they are looking for, my heart goes out to these searchers. Such emotional work.

I hope it means they are all spending a nice Sunday evening with their loved ones before they hit it again tomorrow!

ETA: I mean that in a good way, not snarky.
