Yeah, that’s the point I was trying to make. You’re not dealing with piranhas here.

The sifting would be for something else, like physical evidence.

Blood drops in the snow?

There still wouldn't be fragments

Based on my experience it is not uncommon for hair, tissue and bone fragments to remain once scavengers have finished feeding. Scavengers are nature’s vacuum cleaners; while extremely efficient they leave remains.

At USAFA, as well
I just opened the doors so my spoiled dogs could go potty. They sniffed the air and looked at me like, "That's a big NOPE" turned around and came right back in. We deal with this every time a storm comes. They can predict the snow coming better than the radar.

This reporter noted the yellow flags being put out, so I am leaning towards them being recently placed.

I think the snow sifters are the white tables in the photo attached. I don't know anything about them, but I would imagine they are also used when dirt or sand need to be sifted for evidence as well.
Those look similar to what is used in Texas with sand. They tilt from one side to the other to allow the sand or snow in this case to fall through but anything larger than that stays to allow a closer examination.

I'm wondering if it isn't shredded clothing????? they don't appear to be using metal detectors from the few shots we have seen and they are sifting the snow (would like to know the mechanics of this) is it like sifting flour or sifting for gold? the snow falls away leaving debris?

It either doesn’t exist, or she thought she looked better in the other one.

By “look better,” I mean both physically and in terms of optics. Her “duck face” and lighting may have been optimal, and/or it shows how great a mother she (thinks she) is (taking her smiling kids hiking).

Who the hell knows though with this lady. She’s a piece of work.
There was really no need for her picture at all.

I very much hate to return to The Garage Discussion... but this caught my eye. Has anyone ever hung up their lawn mower with the mower blade facing OUT? In this picture (and in several others in the photo album, but less visible) 2/3/20 CSI in the Stauch garage , the Stauch's mower is hanging on the back wall of the garage by the back interior door with the blade facing out.
Possible that the CSI folks took it down and then put it back the wrong way?
OSHA would have a field day in that garage apparently. Safety last...

Lol, I saw that mower and thought "I can't be seeing a mower hanging on the wall". BUT, I didnt comment on it because its winter and likely up there for storage rather than a regular placement. I hang a lot of heavy stuff out of the way over winter, and despite the looks, its probably pretty secure.

I am wondering something that I don't know has been discussed. JMO maybe TS mention cutting is foot and sitting on the edge of the car/truck (not sure which) because he was hit by a vehicle...IMO

For sure, I agree

The sifters they were using looked like the size and shape of lap trays, painted white with a 2-3 inch lip around them and of course mesh on the bottom. I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re the same or similar to sifters they use for retrieving evidence in dirt.
I took this screenshot from this video clip.

I have seen others make similar comments about theories like that. Definitely something to think of as a possibility!

@Spencer_WNews

Video at the link of him driving slowly by. I'm thinking they may be sifting for components of a smashed phone or Switch controller?
From what we know about SM, I would fully expect her to try & pawn the switch. I wonder if they checked local pawn shops?

MOO, I think the searches are there because some kind camera, tracker, location provider lead them there. I think they were pinpointed there because someone spent some time there.

If objects of his were thrown and smashed, the most likely thing to look for would be the serial number on that item if there is one. Anybody can throw a digital item out and smash it but the serial number would be connecting Gannon to the item.

The serial number on a Nintendo Switch is located on the bottom of the system to the left of the USB connector, just below the barcode. The serial number starts with the letter "X" and is followed by two additional letters then 11 digits.

Serial Number - Parental Controls Pin Reset | Nintendo Support switch serial number - بحث Google

Apple watch and Fitbit, both have ways to get the serial number through the box (Fitbit) or applewatch app (Apple watch).

Hopefully, all parts of whatever they are collecting are found. If the things they have found are Gannon's there will also be dna potentially.

Ha I have lurked here since at least the Laci case, AJ and many others, I was never motivated to register until some of today's exchanges. It is an understandingly frustrating time of the case but the patience and acceptance of the sometimes tangentially challenged and intellectually obtuse theories normally accepted or at least passed by, seems to be less apparent. Ha!

But I especially wanted to thank the local sleuthers providing such great insight and time. Wish Sam was around on this one too.

Welcome to the group.

MOO looks sifting hardened road side snow/ dirt sound like an incredibly difficult thing to do.
Crazy that you miss something and having to apply force at the same time to free chunks of ice from gravel other ice chunks. All the while its freezing itself into another shape on the sifter.
