On February 21, 2020, the Metro Crime Lab returned to Gannon's home as a part of our ongoing investigation into his disappearance.

The investigation continues to progress with multiple agencies working to bring Gannon home.

We have received 718 tips to date. These tips include possible sightings, search suggestions, social media related information, suspicious activity, found property/possible evidence and video/photo/drone evidence.

Although search efforts in southern Douglas County have been suspended, this investigation is not slowing down. As previously stated, investigative leads direct search efforts and we have teams available and ready to deploy should the need arise.

We continue to get numerous tips and messages through our social media platforms. If you have information you feel is pertinent to Gannon’s case, please call the Sheriff’s Office Tip Line at 719-520-6666, or email [email protected], if you have not already done so.

We know the community is anxious and awaiting answers. There is no public interest which outweighs maintaining the integrity of this investigation and specific details will be released as the investigation allows.

I can almost guarantee the red truck was not parked on the street overnight. HOAs are notoriously picky about that. I suspect that she may have already driven the truck once that day (hence its position at the curb). Where might she have gone? Take one child to school. FIll the tank perhaps? If she already drove it, prior to the 10:15 departure, we might ask why she'd park in the street and not back it into the driveway right then. JMO perhaps there was a car in the garage, maybe a white one, that needed a clear path out.

Those black and white stills, presumably from the night before, may reflect similar vehicle gymnastics. Three cars with a two-car garage and a two-car driveway is a challenge in the best of circumstances. I suspect the neighbor provided LE with a gold mine of footage, above and beyond what we've already seen.

I do hope that AS has compared his fuel transactions with any other charges, particularly that day. Unfortunately he didn't know his truck had been driven for a week... still, if he filled the truck up prior to the 29th, he could still compare that to his rough fuel use.... long shot, I know.

If TS filled up his tank in anticipation of a nefarious trip or topped it off after, please let it be that she used a credit card.

If TS is as guilty as I believe her to be, I hope she's enjoying these last days of freedom. Hopefully they're coming to an end. You hurt a child, you deserve a lifetime of selfies behind bars.

I understand. But the way the release was worded and LE saying it isn't a criminal case just makes me wonder if there are steps they legally have to take in order to get that dna.

Yes. A search warrant. They need to establish probable cause of a crime. And just as LE says they have no suspects almost every damn time they have one, they’re saying this isn’t a criminal case...when it clearly is.

I need a million like buttons for this. I don’t agree with his speaking to the media. However, I 100% believe he is already in a small way a hero. If he hadn’t gone back and checked that footage...if it had timed out...I believe that man and whatever footage he has given to LE is going to be critical in bringing Gannon home.

Edit to add: I also think RD’s footage (and any other neighbor’s footage) were pivotal in establishing a timeline, and will be instrumental at trial.

My guess is that there is more footage that LE is holding back.
They may have a mountain of evidence of which the public is unaware.
Considering what happens when info. is leaked; that's probably a good thing.
Although I think the neighbor's footage was allowed to be leaked.

My heart just breaks for her.

To believe that a crime was not committed, TS is not responsible, and Gannon is still alive, requires me to to ignore both evidence and common sense.

Everything makes sense to me if she is responsible, and nothing makes sense if she is not.

To imply that it’s crazy for people to see things differently from yourself, and pretend that evidence does not exist, is in a word, “gaslighting.”

It’s also monstrously arrogant, and shockingly transparent.

Similar to the way TS has shown herself to be. The way I see it, she’s either a horrible mother, or a vile child killer.

Is there any strategic advantage for LE to avoid calling it a criminal investigation and naming a POI so as to avoid certain "rights of the accused" kicking in and/or triggering the not-yet-POI hiring legal representation? Is the whole point of that just to let more rope out?

My understanding has always been that you can agree to answer questions or not - and even after arrested you can remain silent (we don’t do criminal) and the same holds true for minors - IMO and I will say I don’t think LS/TS will be cooperating now

Yes. We have a 100% right to remain silent at any time when it comes to possible criminal incrimination. And LE can’t haul anyone off the street and hold them unless they’re actually arresting them for a crime. 72 hour holds are for psych reasons and not an excuse for cops to interrogate someone.
