JMO - What a great thought :) I am assuming that their trash bins would have been thoroughly gone through as they did with the snow!!!
And I believe TS just didn't comprehend how much time, effort & resources were going to be applied to finding Gannon. I believe she completely underestimated LE's total commitment to finding the truth!!

In the footage of MCL returning to the home yesterday, the trash bin can be seen next to the garage door. I hadn't noticed it there in previous pics/footage. Like you, I hoped that they were able to preserve & go through the household trash, but if they have weekly pick-up like we do, they've had at least 3 pick-ups since Gannon went missing. Fingers crossed a hold was put on theirs!

It would require for KD, AS and Le and Journalists and news stations to be complicit in a lie.
Only way he made it home that day was either dead or unconscious.

The above is what sways me. Not the video on any level. The video to me is useless, meaning the video as presented to us on these pages. If KD, AS, LE, etc... are complicit in this type of chicanery, it will taint my view of LE for many years to come. I'll be curious to see how this plays out.

Edit: spell error/clarification

All the more to want to keep it close to the vest.

At the expense of LS's reputation and the condemnation directed toward her? I don't think so. MOO

Whether or not Gannon returned in the truck is something LE could have easily cleared up when they saw the effect the video was having on the public's attitude toward LS. Since they chose not to clarify that Gannon returned with LS and preserve her reputation, I would assume they agree that Gannon did not return from that outing. I can't imagine them withholding information that important.
Not only that, but did the neighbor’s camera catch her leaving later that evening or in the wee hours after loading a blanket roll or a suitcase? Or someone coming in another vehicle and taking something like one of those items away? Or Gannon walking out to another vehicle in those later hours? Because for Gannon to have left after the 2:15 arrival at home, that’s what would have also been seen, and the neighbor would be saying, “Then I saw....”, and it would be something indicating Gannon was still accounted for.

I do not see something happening after 2:15, and her calling LE with Gannon anywhere near that home in a scenario where she’d have to deal with his body later. If there’s some way he came home, was then injured or killed and taken from the home before or after her LE call, she’s a magician and the neighbor’s camera must have had a lapse.

Maybe it's because I followed the Paighton Houston case so recently. The public attitude was that her co-worker was capable of everything from abandoning PH at a bar to selling PH into sex trafficking in exchange for drugs. People claimed repeatedly that if there was any proof of the co-workers story, the public would know. But the public didn't know, and LE didn't say anything until an arrest was made - and it wasn't the co-worker.

You may be 100% correct and GS disappeared before 2:15; I admit, I have no idea! I just try not to assume what LE does with information, and if or why they choose to make it public. JMO.

While waiting for more information to come to light I keep being drawn back to a statement made by Jackie Kirby, a spokeswoman for the Sheriff’s Office, early in the investigation. She says the video we have all viewed many times is “just one piece in a very, very, very large puzzle.” That emphasis on how complicated Gannon's disappearance is in the eyes of LE makes me stop and wonder what I have missed. If it's very very very complicated could that mean there's more going on than the general theory I had that Gannon was injured and then disposed of to hide the injury? IMO, that theory doesn't equate as very very very. It would seem there is more going on than that. Is there a different motive, are there more players involved than LS(and I believe she is deeply involved)? That's what this is saying to me. Add to that, the sifting, shovel, probing tool searches, horses and dogs, the returns to the house for evidence, all the agencies involved. and time elapsed in the investigation . All of it just seems like too much for my previous theory. Maybe I'm overthinking and reaching for lack of evidence? I'd like to just sit back and chill until more comes to light but patience isn't one of my virtues.

The disappearance of Gannon Stauch: A timeline of the case
Agree with all of the above. The "very, very, very" tends to make me think:
1) Others are involved AND/OR
2) "Someone" has been very, very, very busy dishing "tips" that are useless, in an attempt to obfuscate the truth of what really happened. Hence, Jackie Kirby making mention of the rumours circulating on social media and the like. They are/were not helpful as each and everyone has to be followed up, tying up precious time and hindering their ability to bring Gannon home.

A person can go mad trying to extract logic from the lies of a lying liar who lies, but I'm game.

In the interest of keeping open minds, let's say that TS is telling some brand of truth -- that Gannon left for a nameless friend's house, ran away AND left in the company of an indistinct agent at the urging of an equally indistinct mastermind. I'm okay sitting on that for a couple of HOURS. But what about AFTER THAT? To me this exposes the one dimensionality of her story. Because Gannon IS STILL MISSING and none of her three scenarios accounts for that, except maybe the last one, that he's been taken. A NORMAL person would be terrified that, regardless of how the WENT MISSING started, time has raised the ante. My 11 year old "runs away", by bedtime I've exhausted all known contacts and neighbors, alerted the police, enlisted an informal search party of friends and family AND STARTED TO PANIC that a secondary situation has occurred, injury, abduction. Sure, TS eventually throws these out there but the thing she fails to do is express concern that HE may have met with foul play after the fact. Nope, she's hung up on She Didn't Do It. As if that means No Thing Happened. IMO.

OJ disgusted the planet with his rendition of how he'd have done it. I'd like to have the CW interrogation team sit down with TS and ask her what she think could've happened that day. It's a beautiful thing to see an everyday manipulator get out-manipulated by those trained to do so.

THAT video would be a sight to see.

Keeping information close to the vest is a tactic prioritized to ensure integrity of the case, not for the betterment of public perception of LE.

I did see that as well which would make sense. Probably just random.
I think people are on edge around here. With good reason. And kids pick up on parents being on edge, hearing what is going on thru the news, etc.

There is no reason to assume GS would only check the gate on Saturdays. It's possible SM was attempting to establish GS had performed his "gate" duties on a 'proudly' regular basis.
Painting a picture of a blissful happy home... And yet she was asked to leave....

Here is to hoping today is the day Gannon will be found or an arrest is made and a monster sits in jail.

I'm curious if she did return with him and he was deceased in the car? Does anyone know her timeline, up until the 911 call was made? Was GS little sister with her the entire time after school? I was asking abou the truck being backed into the garage because what if she used a tool to cut him up and exposed of his body? Obviously, definitely got rid of whatever tool she used. She seemed very adamant about clearing up blood in the garage and truck. Dont mean to be so morbid, but could be possible?

My mind wants to conjure up scenarios of what could have occurred if Gannon had been deceased in that truck. But I feel I need more information before heading in that direction because there are just too many possibilities to explore.

Interesting ... I do not think Gannon made it back home, but open to alternative answers, and this does match with the house being a crime scene.
I don't believe he made it home either but regardless, if LE believe that poor little guy got a beating Sunday night, the house is still a crime scene. There are likely two crimes scenes therefore two parallel investigations?

Just a thought, if Gannon accidentally cut his foot, what might forensic evidence look like? However, if he cut his foot running barefoot through the garage while trying to escape, perhaps out and through a locked gate, then what would forensic evidence look like?
I won’t speculate on forensic evidence, but being a barefoot person living in the south I have regular injuries - usually stepping on a nail, stick or glass. In my experience a foot cut doesn’t bleed like a head or face cut. I stepped in a good sized piece of glass last summer, tracked in bloody smudges through the garage to the kitchen. A single bandaid was all that was needed and a single Lysol wipe (maybe two) cleaned up the tracks. I would think anything leaving a significant amount of blood from a foot laceration would likely need stitches. MOO

“A lot of things we don’t need to know, cause they’re ya know – the either government or the cops. If they really don’t have any idea at all, cops would be like ‘listen we need the public’s help’ absolutely, but if they got a couple hints or they are just waiting for someone to crack or evidence right, then that’s why they are saying, ‘it’s under investigation,'” explained Dog.

“Leads come in, as you hear, ‘there’s 155 leads and 1 panned out,’ – that’s so true! I used to think ‘they’re lying,’ and I worked on this case 200 leads and finally one came through so, with cops, any investigator, you gotta work every single lead,” said Chapman.

“The internet is not the bible. A picture is worth a thousand words, but even it can be altered. I’m glad we got the internet cause you can find out things – and my investigations are a whole lot different – now, I find ’em a lot quicker, but people have to remember – it’s not the bible,” Dog explained.

“They use that as a tool against the predator so it’s good – very good that we’ve got – i’ve caught so many in the last year by social media,” he said.
Duane “Dog” Chapman finds people for a living: What he says about missing Colorado Springs boy

Thanks, @imstilla.grandma !

IMO, this is so tremendous that it should be saved to have handy whenever people on a new thread/case ask these questions: "How can none of these dozens or hundreds of leads pan out?".... "How can we definitively be certain that LE isn't asking for our help because they don't need it?" That reporter asked good questions, IMO.

BBM
This reminds me so much of the reporter asking Police Chief Miles De Young about why PF wasn't at the PC for KB. He very wisely responded, "You'll have to ask him that yourself," or something very close to that. We all know how that ended.

Whenever I feel anxious about this case, I think about how DA May and his team, handled that horrific case and I calm down, as there couldn't be a finer man to guide LE through this case.

Translation: "We invited him, but he didn't care to show up." Telling; absolutely.

This, or something similar, is why her inexplicable mention of Gannon going to the gate and of Gannon having the key seems key to the investigation. Something obviously happened at the gate and to the key.
Perhaps hew trying to run through the gate to get away from her? Maybe the gate was not always locked and she locked it to keep him from running back there? There's so many possibilities though what could be up with the gate/key.

Does anyone know what time on Sunday night the events she left out of her time occured? Does they coincide with/happen after the times on the video stills? In her interviews there is nearly 24 hours she fails to account for. Sunday afternoon after GoG hike to Monday after school.
Is the daughter's car in the stills? According to TS and her daughter they had BK, later it was the daughter picked up BK and brought it home. Her daughter had already worked that day, but did she leave the house after work to go anywhere aside from BK do we know?

She has a way of talking a lot without saying much. Everything she has said has been so vague and noncommittal. So if pressed she can come back and say, "I never said Gannon cut his foot on a tool. I said that he cut his foot in the garage and that Albert leaves tools in the garage."

Imo there's too many "coincidences" for her not to be responsible. Albert being gone, Gannon's "accidents", his stomach ache, staying home from school, the outing with a sick kick, etc. If none of these or only one of these things had happened that weekend I might be inclined to entertain the idea he was abducted or had run away. But all this out of the ordinary occurs all weekend and then he disappears.

Sorry this is getting so long, I'm just so frustrated and "thinking" out loud. It also bothers me to no end that she claims to not know the names of any of Gannon's friends. They've lived there for two years and she's never even heard him mention the name of a friend or had a friend to their house? My son always says, "mom, I'm going to play with so and so..." If I don't know "so and so" I'll ask who they are and where they live. She's one of his primary caregivers, the only primary caregiver a lot of the time, in the very least there is something very irresponsible about her not having his friends' info. And if she truly does not know it then it proves she does not care about Gannon or what goes on in his life. My son talks to me nonstop about what happened at school with this kid and that, and shows me their tik tok videos on repeat until I want to rip out my hair. His friends come over and I interact with them (mostly regarding food and what are they getting out of the fridge now???).

Again, sorry for the rant. I haven't been so emotionally invested in a missing child/person/murder since Caylee. Everything happened while I was off work for pregnancy and maternity leave, now my baby is 10. I can't wrap my head around the actions of these women who call themselves a "mother" when a child is the least of their concerns.
Whatever happened to Gannon was terrifying for him. My heart aches for Landon, and I admire her restraint.

All my opinion only.

I primarily quoted this because I wanted to say how sweet and valuable the part about watching TikTok videos 100 times is, for a good mother. My heart is warm.

Well, the problem with your equating the two scenarios for me, IMO, MOO, is that there was also plenty of information in the Paighton Houston case about a separate POI, the "two heavy-set black men", who might have been responsible.

The only separate/other POI we have in this scenario, is a mystery person that the prime POI will not name, and that nobody else knows about.

MOO, JMO, IMO.

I posted about this previously. According to the timeline established by the released video, she returned at 2:15. I'm convinced that that's because she knew her daughter (high school) would be home by approx. 2:30 and little sis sometime around 3 (give or take.) I guess she could've come up with some story about why she wasn't there when they got home, but that would've further complicated things especially if she'd previously told them in the morning that Gannon was staying home because he was sick. In my mind there's a strong possibility that he was injured the night before and didn't come out of his room in the morning, so neither sister saw him before they left for school.

There's a reason she mentioned Gannon cutting his foot in the garage & (IIRC) sitting on the back of the truck while she put bandaides/bandages on it. It's too bazaar of a detail to randomly mention, she was covering for something she knew LE would find. I don't believe Gannon returned to that house with her in the afternoon. I also recall LE had dogs (as reported by a neighbor) in the house/garage, but I don't know about the truck. It was in the driveway in early pics (minus T & daughter's cars) but it clearly wasn't there yesterday. Impounded for evidence or is AS still driving it???

If Gannon came back home, why does the neighbor say she came home alone, and why was AS crying and saying she lied? The timeline appears to be part of the issue for both the neighbor and the father - in addition to remarks that Gannon appeared sluggish.

They saw more than we’ve seen. And I also don’t think Gannon jumped out of the truck and ran for the gate if he was injured before he ever left.

I'm really not one to beat a dead horse, so I'll reply then go back to reading/lurking. :)

I don't think the neighbor lied about what he saw, and I don't think he lied about AS crying. I don't think LE lied, but I do think it's possible a reporter misconstrued LE's statement so that it sounded more like an endorsement of the neighbor's statements than it was meant to be.

I think the video gives the impression she came home alone. But on closer look, I think it's possible (but of course not proven) that GS exited on the passenger side, touching his foot down near the back tire, and stepping immediately away toward the garage.

I do think that someone afraid of being hurt will move as quickly as they can to escape. And I don't think absence of neighborhood video is proof that it didn't happen (just as absence of murder-in-the-truck doesn't prove it didn't happen that way, either.)

Thanks to those who engage without snark & eyerolls! You're my favorites! :)

Agree. Too many eyes in a neighborhood like that.

Ahhh, running through the garage to escape!!! Great point! We live in CO & our garage is insulated and I can't walk out there in winter without shoes/slippers, floor is freezing!! Besides, someone helping clean up the garage in bare feet doesn't make sense..even for a kid! But if you had to run in there unexpectantly, now that's another story! Also adding that our garage has a door into the house & also into the backyard....you know, if you were trying to get out of the house quickly, into the backyard to escape through a side gate?!?!

I expect there were other issues at play, with the main point being GS disappeared on SM's watch and given LH's current state I doubt she'd want SM in the same neighborhood, much less the same house.

We have no idea of the AS-SM-children family dynamic but we might assume they experience ups and downs as do any other, details and intricacies aside. We do not know if their situation extended beyond 'acceptable' norms; if they did then there would be more than one person to blame for allowing it.
