It is odd not hearing from friends and or family on LH or AS side, but how about the other side too. Where are LS's friends and family? Why the silence? I'm not hearing pleas from any of these friends and family lamenting over Gannon's disappearance or telling us how wonderful all the parents and step parents are and especially how wonderful Gannon is and what a joy it is to know him. Silence is all there is. Do they have concerns about getting involved in this situation? Do they suspect something sinister has happened and don't want to be associated with it? I have no idea. Even Scott Peterson had support until it was obvious he didn't deserve it. It's just strange.

About the RD video , AS & LE reportedly both viewed the video prior to RD allowing MSM to make a copy. LE reportedly said the video was the break they needed. I understand that to mean they viewed it as important evidence. So did LE inform RD at that point to respect the investigation and keep the video under wraps? If LE did ask RD to respect evidence of investigation then why did RD show it to MSM? And if LE did not request RD to respect investigation then why not? These are just a few loose ends I have on the video issue. Thanks for any and all feedback on this.

I don't think we know the answer to those questions or what LE may have told the neighbor or when. It's possible that reporters obtained video footage before the neighbor was asked by LE not to share it with the media. It's not uncommon for evidence like that to be leaked. It happens in almost every case.

What we do know is that Fox reported that there was new evidence that might be a break in the investigation. Shortly after that they released some video footage. Soon afterwards the crime lab was at the house and detectives carried out several evidence bags.

Maybe she's made mainly military friends who are not so quick to speak in public.

I’m thinking that any friends she does have who might have otherwise come to her defense can see the writing on the wall and don’t want to sacrifice their own credibility upon the altar of loyalty. Once someone makes contradictory public statements (a euphemism for lies), potential character defenders start to distance themselves.

Except Gannon's garage only has the 1 door leading to the outside, and that's the main car door. There isn't any other exit to the outside.

I just noticed (in your first pic), it appears there are actually TWO gates. One near the garage, and one with a small sidewalk leading to the neighbors driveway. I wonder if both gates were locked?

While we don't know for a fact, as in, AS has not made any public statement saying "yes, the statement that has been attributed to me "she lied. She lied about the time. He didn't go to a friend's house" as stated by RD is in fact true, that is exactly what I said and exactly what I meant" it's also quite telling that he also has not provided a statement or a response to repudiate it.

Assuming he watches the news or reads news sites, AS knows the statement is out there. He knows the neighbor said, he called his wife a liar, and yet... he's made ZERO effort to correct it, deny it or clear it up in any way.

For me it's what AS is not saying, that speaks volumes.

LE likely has requested the family not dispute, present opinion or otherwise interfere with the investigation perhaps maybe to present a plea to citizens to come forward with any information. Being military, I suspect AS adheres to Law Enforcement's request. Just a guess.

I've read that, too, I think. But we don't know how or why afaik. Just for example, whether it's joint decision-making and/or physical custody or sole custody with visitation -- or even whether it's by agreement or court order. To be clear, I'm not asking for answers to those questions. Just sayin' I don't think we know one way or the other. I'll say this, though, I don't for one second beleive it would be "no big" if it was the stepmom who had minor children who primarily lived with their dad. As the OP noted (and I have, too, I think), that's an extremely unusual situation, in general. Especially when the kids are so young. jmo

I disagree and would say LH has almost *all* the support on SM, but it is an interesting point LE is not appealing to the public with sad interviews from teachers and friends about wonderful Gannon on MSM. Most likely because LE has strong evidence that Gannon was not abducted and there is nobody to appeal to. Nobody is holding him captive. They don't want public help in searching for him. They are focusing on privately interviewing the people that can solve the case such as close family and neighbors with cameras. LH and AS have done a wonderful job talking about Gannon during the PC's and LH did a MSM interview that other night as well.

This is in my opinion also the reason there is no reward being offered.

Yes - I do believe all Dateline episodes involve solved cases with convictions. I sure hope so, as I listen to them as podcasts in order to feel better.

I should add that in the case I referenced, the boyfriend did it. He took the stand in his own defense, denied everything, pointed out what a nice, law-abiding person he was (and had a character witness or two).

Jury convicted him nevertheless. He won't give up the info about where the body is and will only admit to having driven her car (in order to annoy her).

I heard once that's a big "tell" for guilty people. "I do blah-blah-blah because it would really P my girlfriend/wife/other off if she knew I was doing it!"

Well, that's a sad but interesting thought. Since blood is now in the story, thanks to LS, we can ponder it. Yep, very easy to tell vomit blood from vein or arterial blood.



They're there. They just aren't here. Almost everyone in this story (not AS) has a SM presence with many updates and posts about where they are. LS has a mom who is very supportive to her and a support group on FB with over 160 people in it. They are anything but silent.

Yes, absolutely, the media is not interviewing friends/family on this case. Maybe they're working off the example of Nicole Fierro, who was clearly burned tacitly taking the side of LS by giving her a platform to toss around a little word salad.

I haven't yet fully researched this potential aspect so I am not aware if any would be of particular note. I am wondering if LE is pursuing/has pursued this angle, either for to include/eliminate the possibility; it could support a "no rush to judgement" defense.

I only see one gate. The other fence on the right side of the house is solid, no hinges.

There is no door on the gate side of the garage right? It's a window?
