Found Deceased CO - Gannon Stauch, 11, Colorado Springs, Lorson Ranch, El Paso County, 27 Jan 2020 *endangered* #18

Locals know this:
It’s like the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in Garden of the Gods, and that’s just on like a Tuesday mid morning. Seriously, throngs of tourists from all over the globe, all heavenly armed with cameras. My kids and I volunteer at the living history ranch adjacent to it. I’m probably hyperbolizing a tad, but a person could more easily have disposed of a body in a mall food court than in a parking lot at Garden of the Gods. Even harder to believe it could remain hidden there for any period of time even if someone managed to do the impossible and stash one there in the first place.

This is something that keeps occurring to me, and I don't know if it would occur to someone who had not lived here for very long.

El Paso County is very large, but it is also very populated, at least in the western half near Colorado Springs. The area is full of fresh air fanatics, who are out walking their dogs, riding their horses, cross country skiing, and mountain biking. Outdoor activities are year-round. The rural areas are largely subdivided and there aren't too many big ranches left. Large parts of it are military bases (AFA, Peterson Air Force Base, Carson) and inaccessible. It butts up against Pikes Peak National Forest, but a lot of that is vertical with few roads or trails. Nothing is going to stay hidden for long, in my opinion. Someone will be out walking their dogs, and when the dogs won't come when recalled....

Do you possibly mean instead that we know she used a truck that had 4wd? All our family’s vehicles have 4wd, but we would not be said to be “using 4wd” each time we drive them. The feature is rarely “used,” and only in certain circumstances where the driver intentionally employs the feature by either locking in the hubs and shifting a certain lever (older models) or pushing a 4wd button/switch to engage.

That is what I call her red vehicle. Am I incorrect?

It's more like taken him to a place she knew it would be unlikely he would be found , a place she had noticed in the course of one of their hikes, I think.

That was me and thank you. I hope there wasn’t one because frankly I don’t know why she would need one or how she would even have the time to pick one up and return it in the known timeline. Whew. threads moving so fast. Thank you for answering me.

Think timeline everyone! I agree, she didn't have time. Besides, renting a car creates a paper trail. I guess someone else could've rented it for her, but I just don't think so. I've asked myself why she took AS's truck & not her own car though. As first I thought it had something to do with 4WD, but looks like her car could've had similar capability. Beside, you can reach most areas even remote ones by road/dirt road, unless she seriously planned to go off-roading, but I don't think she did. Also a truck bed can be washed out pretty fast & easily in a car wash.

I think it was more about not being recognized as easily AND where her car was parked...if our theory about the reason she backed into the driveway was correct and she wanted Gannon to walk less & be less visible then she would've had to move & repark her car, adding suspicion. I also wonder if TS thought if she was asked later by a neighbor or acquaintance who happened to drive by the house, she could say she was home all day because her car was there. People might expect AS's truck to be gone. All MOO

lets assume for our NEW SEARCH that Gannon is close to somewhere only accessible by 4wd.
We know she used it.
Another look, fresh eyes, won't do any harm.

What does this mean? Is there a new search? And how do we know she used 4-wheel drive? That is an option in most trucks, isn’t it? I have no idea...

Thank you so much for finding this! I have looked everywhere! Does this mean we can discuss theories? Or no? I’m still a bit lost on the rule, whether it has to be confirmed she actually used one, or if we can discuss hypotheticals since it was addressed in MSM. Foggy grey area.

RD had kids climbing in his lap and on his couch during the interview. I assume them to be his kids but have no clue if it’s confirmed or if he said it. All the interviews and reports are running together in my mind.

All I remember from MSM reporting was RD said he'd seen GS playing before and thought he looked like a nice kid (or something to that effect.) I don't know that even we know if RD has kids, much less kids near GS's age. I'm not saying we need to know details about RD's kids but we shouldn't be adding hypothetical kids to the story.

RD does have children, I've seen photos of the family. And in one of the MSM interviews with him, a young child is sitting right next to him on the couch. I can't find the link.

I think that might be mistake #1 by TS .. no kid would ever type that. That’s an adult thing to think . That would very likely be an adult thought from us armchair sleuths
