Pic of truck if it helps someone figure out the model year:
View attachment 234407
Appears to be the "SV" trim level. Navigation is not even an option.

I think it is unlikely, but possible that there is some kind of non-navigational gps tracker. I feel like they would have found him weeks ago if they had any kind of gps information.

The two main reasons why I think she may have driven the truck:
1. Possibly no gps. Maybe "her" suv had gps?
2. Offroad capability. I used to assume all suv's were awd/4wd, but you might be surprised how many are 2wd. Particularly less expensive models. Can anyone identify what the black suv is? Jeep Compass?

Depending on if the truck was the last vehicle he was in...

1st time posting and been following since the beginning. LE keeps saying they have no suspects. But with them searching the home a few times I find that hard to believe. I was wondering if a POI is different than a suspect?

It is different. Now because of the Richard Jewell dibocal in the 90s (who was truly a hero, and an innocent man) when the FBI, and press called him the suspect LE uses POI now.

If they name someone a suspect it means they have evidence to show they are the suspect. Usually when labeled a suspect it's when an arrest is announced.

Here they aren't saying either. The standard in ongoing investigations is for LE to say they have ruled no one in or out. That's a strategy often used for various reasons depending on the case.

Even though they havent publically announced a POI or suspect by name specifically it isn't hard for us to read between the lines which sometimes we must do.

Often it's not what LE says. It's WHAT we know they are doing, and WHERE they are doing it.

Imo, someone in Gannon's inner circle is number one on the potential suspect list for LE. I think we can all figure out who that is.

LE does not believe Gannon is a willing 11 year old boy runaway. What they are doing, and where shows that.

It may take longer than we all wish, but Gannon will receive justice no matter how long it may take them.

Of course the top priority now for LE is finding Gannon as it should be, but they are also gathering vital evidence as well.

Not sure if this fits in anywhere…

Source Websleuths. Thread one, page one Gannon

“A little after 10 p.m. on Tuesday the El Paso County Sheriff's Office showed up at Gannon's home. Law enforcement walked up to the home and appeared to be searching in the backyard with flashlights. The garage door was opened and a car was pulled out. We are waiting for an update from the sheriff's office on why law enforcement was there.’

I can only figure this was copied and pasted from the link associated in the original post. BUT the link is not any longer reliable as it had been updated. A follow up story/update never appeared

The point is ….there was a major shift in AS very early on, from being on the same page with ‘T” in the media stories (actually sounding supportive) to her not staying in the house.

I would suspect T told investigators late in the day Tuesday…her second story "the abduction version," which was news to Albert…and LE showed up at the house.

Did you continue reading said thread?

IIRC, in said thread, members came to a conclusion that the paper meant "Monday night", and that the reporter at the time simply couldn't tell their "Tuesday" from their "Monday", when it came to characterizing "what day of the week the 29th was".

IMO, if the article quoted no longer contains said information, that means the folks saying the original journalist/article merely erred, were 100% correct in their surmises; and that's why the article no longer talks about actions taken "Tuesday". Why it doesn't have a retraction notice? I don't know, but a lot of hours logged on Websleuths have taught me that it wouldn't be the first newspaper who doesn't "do retractions"; and instead follows the sloppy "whoops! Hope nobody read that first article!" principle of current journalism.

Nothing new yet. I think this was posted last night, 786 tips. "The Sheriff's Office PIO will be available from 4:30 - 5:00 PM today for interviews."

ADMIN NOTE:

This post lands at random (regarding discussion of a rented vehicle).

At this time it is neither fact nor rumor. An MSM article was linked upthread wherein a reporter asked LE if a car was rented that day. LE responded that it was "part of the investigation". So, members can speculate on that to some degree but please do not state it as fact.
Wow well if a rental car is involved perhaps they drove the truck to it and that was used to drive him somewhere ? Of course she would have needed help to spot that car in its preferred location IMO - lots to ponder now

Over the years I’ve followed these cases when a family member could be involved it seems the body is close to home (if found) - I don’t think this is any different unfortunately - but with access to video- GPS etc I think they will find him - yesterday I thought soon - today not so much ....

That’s a good point. I’m pretty positive my Audi Q7 is 2W capability only...

And we can hope that THAT vehicle had some sort of navigation/gps/tracking on it.

If a rental car was somehow involved in the disposal (ugh!!!) of Gannon. How would that have 'helped' her plan of getting away with this..??
If she parked it somewhere to transer herself and Gannon into the rental to then travel to the Dumping area (again UGH!!) - You'd think LE would have checked it out for Gannon's scent.

And I'm not getting it!?!? Renting vehicles leaves a paper trail so I don't know how this would help her story at all as this would have flashed up on LE's radar straight away!!

Maybe it's because the rental had no GPS tracker and her own one did?? Just thinking out loud.

If they did find him would they have released that yesterday or would they wait for LH to return? Idk but we were asked to pray for G’s family yesterday. I’m praying because I think they may be receiving some devastating news soon if they have not already. IMO

That's true. There is research data on the differences between male, and females concerning where, and how they dispose of bodies.

If the offender is male they tend to dispose of the bodies miles away from the original scene...even hundreds of miles. Men will bury the bodies far more often.

However female offenders usually put the discarded bodies of their victims much closer to where they lived. They will put the victim above ground more often in swampy areas or places of water. Etc.

I believe they would do it in person just out of compassion and decency and these LE IMO are just that

"El Paso County Sheriff’s Office says authorities currently have no reason to believe the boy was kidnapped."

Right now there is no threat to the community as far as this case goes,” El Paso County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Sgt. Deborah Mynatt tells PEOPLE. “We don’t have those specifics to put out there [yet], and we haven’t done so. There’s reasons for that and we just can’t go into those details.”

She adds, “We are really trying to also ensure that the community knows if there was a threat of some sort of public safety statement, if there was an abduction of some sort, if that information was revealed to us … we would absolutely put that out.”

“We really want to stay on track and stay focused,” she says. “And I can understand the community’s concern with the lack of information being provided, but we hope that the community can trust that we’re doing that because we’re trying to ensure there’s no … potential of it being jeopardized.

  • No evidence of a kidnapping
  • Assurances from LE that there is no threat to the community, as far as this case goes
  • LE ensuring that information being provided is not being "jeopardized"
Well my, my, my.....

If I had to take a guess based on what I am seeing reported, the specific search sites "may" be related to where GPS or Cell Tower data indicated a vehicle stopped for a period of time.

Didn't they say in Little Faye Swetnik case that there was no threat to the community also?

Honestly the only time I have heard LE even hint there is a threat to the community is when a prisoner escapes and they say "may be armed and dangerous, don't approach him". Basically other than it seems like someone can be murdered in daylight on a public trail or disappear from front yard and LE will assure everyone there is no threat.

Good morning and here for Gannon.

while I have lurked for a while, I thought I might try my hand at a first post.

I know the snow sifting has been discussed endlessly, but I don’t recall seeing my thought discussed.

Is it possible while sifting the snow that they were sifting for vomit that had been preserved under the fresh blanket of snow?
