ADMIN NOTE:

This post lands at random (regarding discussion of a rented vehicle).

At this time it is neither fact nor rumor. An MSM article was linked upthread wherein a reporter asked LE if a car was rented that day. LE responded that it was "part of the investigation". So, members can speculate on that to some degree but please do not state it as fact.

99.9% of rentals have GPS trackers. There's a lot of legalities in the rental business, most notably with border crossings. They all have them and use them to see where cars have been.

*IF* this ends up being something that happened, this could be pinpoint #1 of why they've been at these seemingly odd places.

Appears to be the "SV" trim level. Navigation is not even an option.

I think it is unlikely, but possible that there is some kind of non-navigational gps tracker. I feel like they would have found him weeks ago if they had any kind of gps information.

The two main reasons why I think she may have driven the truck:
1. Possibly no gps. Maybe "her" suv had gps?
2. Offroad capability. I used to assume all suv's were awd/4wd, but you might be surprised how many are 2wd. Particularly less expensive models. Can anyone identify what the black suv is? Jeep Compass?

Good point about GPS - that would be a big reason for her to take it. Far as SUVs, yeah, lots are 2wd, but I don't think any that look like the one in the driveway (non-Suburban type) come in actual 4wd. If they use more than two wheels, they're all AWD which isn't really for offroad or rough terrain.

The driveway SUV looks like a Compass or Tiguan to me.

If they did find him would they have released that yesterday or would they wait for LH to return? Idk but we were asked to pray for G’s family yesterday. I’m praying because I think they may be receiving some devastating news soon if they have not already. IMO

I don't know what they would do. But my suspicion is LE in Colorado would ask LE in SC to notify LH in person. I say that for two reasons. First, if LH is notified to return to CO ASAP she's going to know something is up and probably would know what it was. Why make her travel in a state of even slight uncertainty? And second, there is always a chance of a leak. So I think they'd want the family notified ASAP vs take even the smallest chance of a media leak. I suppose there's a chance LE could ask AS to call LH to let her know. But I doubt that's the way a notification to divorced couples is typically dealt with.

Is there any validity to her having Apple Watch or was that speculation? I haven't seen it mentioned here but I admit I haven't completely read all 18 threads with 65 pages each.

This discussion about vehicle gps made me think of that again....

Sorry. I'm new here and kind of finding my way.

Could LE have what they need to arrest LS but are waiting to see if something she says/ does will lead them to Gannon?

  • #848
What are the odds that someone with mouth diarrhea such as LS did not say/ do / text/ call/ email anyone during the time frame in question with some information as to what was going on? I'm sure she didn't come out and say she hurt him or worse BUT I'm sure her convos with AS and possibly others have told LE a ton.
I just have to believe they have what they need to arrest her but are waiting for whatever reason.
There's no way Gannon just disappeared/ ran away/ was abducted in this situation. I don't believe in coincidences that large.

Good morning and here for Gannon.

while I have lurked for a while, I thought I might try my hand at a first post.

I know the snow sifting has been discussed endlessly, but I don’t recall seeing my thought discussed.

Is it possible while sifting the snow that they were sifting for vomit that had been preserved under the fresh blanket of snow?
Hi @CaliGrandmax4 :) Welcome to WS

And that’s if she’s telling the truth about the foot injury.
She isn’t[/SPOILER
The day we give her the apology she requested, is the day she wins a Mother of the Year Award.
Spoiler: She won’t

If TS does own an Apple watch, I'm almost certain she would have left it at home on that fateful day.

I’m running out of words. :(

Had a really, really hard time yesterday. It pains me so much to think about Gannon. Sometimes my thoughts get carried away. Or I read theories here and i just want to be sick. I know I really should take a break from this case and reading here but it almost feels like it would be a betrayal to step away.
I just wish LE would DO something. I trust them but sometimes just don’t know how much more I can stand. So selfish of me. I just can’t imagine how much more so his poor family feels.

Has it been confirmed that she didn’t have her cell phone? That would obviously track her.

Could LE have what they need to arrest LS but are waiting to see if something she says/ does will lead them to Gannon?

That is certainly a possibility. If she is their target, then knowing what a liar she is and in my experience, a straight up sociopath, then arresting her may not cause her "break" and give details. Plus she would immediately lawyer up.
But when left to her own devices, she LOVES to talk and leak and be center of attention and any decent investigator would just let her loose in the wild (while being surveilled) to run her mouth as much as she pleases.
Giving her all the rope she needs kinda thing...
But she does have a tendency to try to muddle what the official investigation has found when she speaks. Like almost trying to speak for LE explaining what info they know or don't know... it's really kind of odd honestly.... Not that it's never happened but it's certainly outlier from what I can recall.
I think that is driving LE crazy.

And is it just me, or does it seem like the quieter she is, the quieter they (LE) are? Like when she muddles the facts of what they did or didnt say, they have to step up and debunk it and when she's quiet, we only get the same canned updates?
Could be just me.

Not sure if this was shared, but I found it interesting that they state there will likely be 2 updates a week from here on out.
“We acknowledge the grief and heartache”: Search for Gannon enters fourth week
(I found one that wasn't denver post wanting my money)
This why so much emphasis was put on the family's pain by the PIO. Landen in her most recent plea, said "please don't let this go away". LE is sensitive to the family's perception and when a case involving a search extends beyond a month, external signs of the investigation slow down. It's painful to see happen, but resources are finite.
My heart breaks for AS & Landen, why can't TS just be honest and tell where Gannon is. I'll never understand that kind of evil, ever.

I agree,in the Harley Dillybcase,LE contacted local officers who then went and made the notification to Harleys sister who lived out of state.

Ok. I had seen it mentioned she could've forgotten she had it on.

But now I'm just getting into unsubstantiated claims I guess.
I didnt know if that came from earlier photo of her having one on but didn't have one on in the video interview.
I think it was someone wondering what happened to it.

I guess there is always the possibility that maybe the daughter 'helped' in some fashion with regards to a rental car being used somehow in this tragic story line. IF this happened, TS could have asked for a lift at some point when juggling the 2 vehicles around, with the daughter not knowing why as I'm sure TS is full of tall stories to try and explain things away.
I'm almost certain if something like this did occur the daughter would have co-operated with LE once she realised the seriousness of the situation she found herself in thanks to her own mum!! I'd like to think so anyway!!

Be kind to yourself, JTR. It is not selfish. I learned a long time ago that people who can be this empathetic towards those we have never met should consider it a gift because not everyone can do so. I think of it as a curse.
I've had a really rough couple of days, too. It's hard to explain to family who just don't understand. Between Gannon with no news, and not being able to stop thinking about both him and the Thomas Valva case I haven't been sleeping much. I just keep praying. It's literally the only thing I can do in these situations.

The search area on 105 in larkspur. What could be so tiny that LE needed snow sifters for days and days to locate... lots of speculation of crushed cellphone, a gate key, what have you. Possibly the most definitive form of identification which murderers have been known to dispose of... teeth? Perhaps (purely hypothetical) data evidence put her (or an accomplice) in this location, and one of her entrusted confidants (idk, a 17 year old) cracked and gave the info to LE. Purely hypothetical.
