That's true. There is research data on the differences between male, and females concerning where, and how they dispose of bodies.

If the offender is male they tend to dispose of the bodies miles away from the original scene...even hundreds of miles. Men will bury the bodies far more often.

However female offenders usually put the discarded bodies of their victims much closer to where they lived. They will put the victim above ground more often in swampy areas or places of water. Etc.

My favorite report to quote!!

I found myself wondering the other day, though, if not being Gannon's bio-mom, if Tee would follow these rules.

I wonder, because I thought TPTB had determined that mothers tried to recreate a womblike scenario (swaddled, disposed of in water). Would this apply to caretakers? (Note: I know stepmothers are often functioning and functional as mothers. I doubt this one was, at least to Gannon.)

Is there any validity to her having Apple Watch or was that speculation? I haven't seen it mentioned here but I admit I haven't completely read all 18 threads with 65 pages each.

This discussion about vehicle gps made me think of that again....

Sorry. I'm new here and kind of finding my way.

The Apple Watch/fitness tracker debate was based upon stuff from social media, which can't be discussed.

(I remember it clearly, so not saying MOO, lol.)

Welcome to Websleuths!! :)

I'll never understand that kind of evil, ever.
IMO, a normal person can't comprehend that sort of evil because it would make us as bad as them if we did. I don't want to understand it. I just want her to stop.

IMO we're at a stalemate.
LE has information but not the critical missing element - Gannon. TS has information but won't talk.
LE is not going to share any information with the public. We get the same statement every time - nothing new, working on leads and tips.
Is LE silence purposeful to make someone talk? A hands-off approach? Acting like the case is unsolvable because they don't have enough evidence and then someone lets their guard down and tells someone else a detail? Could a teenager even keep a monumental secret like this, even if it is to protect her mom?
I'm a terribly curious person - details give me places to go with my theories.

Basically, she dragged an injured child on a hike, just so she could take a “duck face” selfie (I’ll never get that stupid pose).

And that’s if she’s telling the truth about the foot injury.
She isn’t

And you’re right about the purpose of the photo: Optics.

The day we give her the apology she requested, is the day she wins a Mother of the Year Award.
OMGoodness! The “spoiler” button!! I’d forgotten about it :p:D Here we go :)

Do we have a timeline on the possible car rental? I don't see a way for it to factor into the day on the 27th. We know at least one vehicle was impounded by LE, perhaps a rental was simply to add back another vehicle.

The search area on 105 in larkspur. What could be so tiny that LE needed snow sifters for days and days to locate... lots of speculation of crushed cellphone, a gate key, what have you. Possibly the most definitive form of identification which murderers have been known to dispose of... teeth? Perhaps (purely hypothetical) data evidence put her (or an accomplice) in this location, and one of her entrusted confidants (idk, a 17 year old) cracked and gave the info to LE. Purely hypothetical.

Thank you!
And yea that's why I asked to be sure.
I agree, I think it's ridiculous to go on and on about something that may not even exist!

That’s a good point. I’m pretty positive my Audi Q7 is 2W capability only...

Nope and congrats, you actually have awd. :) The Q actually stands for quattro, the name for awd in the audis.

Unless the rented car/truck wasn’t TS rental, but of a friends that happened to be in town around the same time.

I can’t help but feel we should stop bringing up the stepdaughter. She’s underage and while the MSM interview is one thing, we shouldn’t be speculating her involvement. At this point, no new information is coming out so we shouldn’t wildly speculate things that are not backed by any shred of fact. MOO

As much as you'd think "someone" wouldn't be dumb enough to rent a vehicle for a crime and expect they'd pull a fast one on LE, you remember that being a criminal and being smart aren't necessarily synonymous.....
especially this criminal in this case.

(And remember Hemy Neuman's rental scenario in the Russell Sneiderman case? Dumb! And LWOP, I think.)

And remember Dumb and Dumber in the Theresa Siever's case... They rented a car AND borrowed a GPS device! And made a phone call from the scene of the crime. SMH

I have mixed feelings about this, and here's why … in the back-of-the-head interview, when SM went to the vehicle to tell her to speak to the reporter, the SD said, "What do you want me to say?"

It caught my attention immediately because of her tone. It wasn't an "OMG, what do you want me to say?!", like someone put on the spot to say something. It sounded, to me, like "What story do you want me to tell?"

I feel like SM forgot she was mic-ed and it was still live.

But that's just me and I'm a little jaded. :)

My heart breaks for AS & Landen, why can't TS just be honest and tell where Gannon is. I'll never understand that kind of evil, ever.

This is evil in it's purest form.

That's creepy. Really top-level creepy. IMO LS isn't one to play that sort of mind game. I think it's pretty likely though that she made that search on Gannon's phone as part of her "he ran away!" story.
Very creepy...sounds like something from a tv show script. Hope's and prayers to GS and family.

In the Elizabeth Shelley case, the State processed evidence using Rapid DNA testing. I wonder how long the tests from the evidence removed from the Stauch home and vehicles will take? Maybe that is all they are waiting on to make an arrest? Let's hope!

The Utah Attorney General’s Office now owns two Rapid DNA testing machines, the office's special agent Nate Mutter said during an appearance on KSL Newsradio’s "Dave and Dujanovic" show Thursday morning.

After using those machines to test the evidence, Logan police were able to quickly match the recovered DNA to Whipple, who was subsequently charged with capital murder, and then convince him to lead them to the girl’s body, Mutter said. It certainly “expedited” the process, he added.

The machines are fully automated and “very police officer friendly,” Mutter explained, and "all we need to do is worry about getting the evidence." Rapid DNA is exceptionally accurate, he added, though crime labs will often verify later what the quick DNA test has found.

Logan police used new tech to quickly link girl’s uncle to her disappearance

I would bet Gannon will be found closer to home than where they were searching.
Not that LS didn't go out there for some reason, but I'll bet she placed him closer to home. jmo
I'll bet she didn't want him to pass in the car, for evidence purposes, and time was of the essence.

Me too, I'm jaded too.

BUT, it could also be the 17yo really doesn't have info about where Gannon is and was truly asking, "What do you want me to say?" as in "I don't have anything to say."

and continue to maintain this isn’t a criminal investigation.
I wanted to say, "but you need to add At this time" after "this isn't a criminal investigation." I went back to EPCSheriff (@EPCSheriff) | Twitter to find the last time the "at this time" was stated. It's been awhile!

ETA some punctuation.

I took it as more of a "What? I don't want to be a part of this. How little do I have to say?"

I was a foolish 1 7 year old (30 years ago now), and I'm ashamed to say the drama of this situation and the opportunity to be in the limelight... well, I would have jumped at the opportunity to "help". UNLESS I was scared about something.

That’s what I believe she said. I don’t think for a second he was sick. She called for dr appt as a calculated move (alibi), only to cancel. Gannon wasn’t there to go to any appt.
Then sisters didn’t see him after school bc he “left to go to a neighbor’s house to play.” IMO Gannon was last seen Sunday by his sisters.
Someone up thread said some interesting things. I agree with this thought process.

I believe the reason Gannon was still alive the next mornin is because there are other children in the home.

The reason Gannon left that home alive is because there were two other children there who stood in the way of any actions being taken that night to end his life and dispose of him and any evidence.

Those children needed to see Gannon alive and ‘well’ that night after the incident, and possibly in the morning before school.

Otherwise a "ran away" scenerio wouldn't work.

I felt the daughter was irritated with her mother for pulling her in to back her up. Like, she's a bit suspicious of her mom too. She knows if her mom is abusive and dishonest and a people user. She sure as heck didn't seem protective with her reaction. jmo
