We pay the subscription fee for our Ring and I'm not sure what's included without the subscription. That said....
1. We can both be checking the Ring at the same time
2. I'm not sure how long it's stored, but I can still get back to early January
3. We get an alert when the battery needs to be charged. I don't know if we would get alerts it was turned off or stopped working, but it would be easy to see in the app that it had been turned off. Not sure if there are log files or if we (or LE) could get to them.

Also wanted to add to this that if the wifi is disconnected, the ring will not work as it works on wifi. If you google "does the ring notify you if it is disconnected from wifi?" The results show a lot of people posting and complaining about how their rings were for some reason disconnected from wifi and they were never alerted. Therefore, unfortunately IMO this leads me to believe that if for some reason the ring was not connected to wifi, the homeowners (AS and TS) would not receive an alert.

One of them might not have needed an alert o_O However it would be interesting to know the timing if their system just "happened" to be down for a period of time.

Interesting about the Wi-Fi!

Sorry if this has already been discussed, but why isn’t Nancy Grace discussing this anymore? Her last discussion on Gannon was on February 3rd, yet meanwhile she posts on other missing persons cases sometimes multiple times in a single day (i.e the Evelyn Boswell case)! This is uncharacteristic of her so it has me wondering why she is remaining tight lipped?!?

First time posting, I don't believe I will post anything against the rules, but I apologize if I do!

I've only just found this site about 2 weeks ago because of Gannon. I'm in the Springs. I've never been THIS fascinated by a case before, but there's just so much to this one, and having so many pieces, but not enough confirmation to glue them together feels like a chronic case of tip-of-the-tongue phenomenon. I feel like I KNOW the answers here, but I just can't be certain.

Anyway, the reason I feel compelled to post is to share a little perspective to one of the biggest questions I see being asked. We all seem to be pondering something along the lines of "Why isn't LE giving us anything"/"Is the case going cold?"
I have family, and family friends in LE. I will not ask them about the case because that could compromise the investigation, and doing so is, I feel, disrespectful. HOWEVER, from what I know about how prior cases have been worked, they are keeping quiet because SM can only complicate and corrupt what they know and, as we all have witnessed, any scrap of an answer leads to conspiracy. (Just look at how fast we all jump on the opportunity to discuss the car rental once we got the green light...)
This is all pretty obvious though, I've seen it mentioned, or implied a few times on this (too long:() thread. Its also exactly this type of behavior that can lead to minor breaks, or somethings big breaks. But it has to be governed. Releasing too much info allows the case to take on a second life separate, and louder, than that which LE is trying to figure out. However, to think the SM pages and even WS isn't monitored by LE just in case is silly. (I'm in no way implying anyone here doubts)
But, LE also has to tread lightly so that, when this goes to trial, a Jury can actually be selected. Everyone who has any interest in this case has already prosecuted the person they believed did it... Or, if they believe LS is innocent, they are stubbornly objective. If there was even slightly more fact and less speculation, it would be SO MUCH WORSE. (look what happened after the neighbor's video was released/leaked)
A final note about where LE is at- I feel that they are absolutely waiting on a confession or a body. Without either, it leaves too much to chance. If all the trail for this has is circumstantial evidence, perp could walk. There is TOO MUCH evidence that we know about to believe LE doesn't have a solid lead.
Again, I have not spoken to any local LE about the case, and this is just MOO based off what I know about LE operation.

P.S. I love the community here, I love how civil the conversation is, and I love the dedication to being fair and doing what's correct. Keep it up WSers :)

Welcome and great first post @ebeers23 ! I hate to even remotely compare this case to the Berreth/Frazee case but in my mind, while we have "someone" acting like a fool, that evidence is collected and is building. Something happened a week and a half ago to have LE sifting through snow. Whatever happened there, took us back to the house where the Crime Scene Unit camped out snapping pictures and carrying out stuff in brown paper boxes and bags. In my mind, that's crime central and what happened there is simply awful. We have a ton of unknowns, no victim, no suspect or POI. But we seem to have a ton of "stuff" that's possible evidence of a crime.

I can live with that because a case is being developed. This is what was going on in the other case mentioned. But then that one thing happened, one clue, one stupid move. And all those puzzle pieces fell into place. I'm quite sure the same will happen here, but problem is, this is a little boy, who is "out there alone". He has not only 3-4 protectors, but one of those protectors is not as she seemingly portrays.

It makes us crazy, impatient, mad, sad. But all we can do is trust that LE and Dan May are all over this as they were Kelsey's case and filling up evidence lockers at the lab in the meantime. We'll get there. Personally, I just hope it's not as senseless, disgusting and horrifying as our last Colorado case.

MOO, MOO

Thank you so much for the insight into how LE is probably progressing! I was just thinking earlier tonight, that if we are frustrated, imagine how LE must feel. Certainly, they have a clearer image of what happened to Gannon than we can piece together and still they must wait before acting on what they know. A testament to their professionalism, for sure.
Anyway, I appreciate your post and welcome.

I completely agree. I believe they have circumstantial evidence but not what they want for a guarantee conviction.
May they find the evidence to "seal the deal"! I am captivated by his innocence and his smile and his eyes and my responsibility and societies responsibility to protect those who are innocent, whose smile and eyes tell us they need protecting. I don't want to let Gannon or any child down. My hope is Gannon is found.

Here for Gannon.

Where are you Gannon?

There are so many people who care about you and we won’t stop looking for you until you are found!

  • #76
I'm so sad Gannon hasn't been found. I know there's nothing new, I just hope there will be swift justice to whomever did something with him. Kills me to know that person is walking around. I hope their days are filled with guilt and paranoia.

@floridamomma...take care of yourself. Be a good patient!
Thanks everyone, I'm behaving but this nurse is going to be lucky if I don't exchange her. I want to go home and she clearly does, too. I'm not even playing....grrrr...

Now that you mention it, that is a bit unlike NG. You'd think she'd be all over TS and asking lots questions. At the very least asking "Where is Gannon?" But not a peep.
