Grandma--can you clarify what you mean by the bolded?
I do believe SM is complicit in Gannon’s disappearance. I think something went wrong at the hike. They possibly returned to the home that night. Daughter verifies this (under duress?) possibly there was an altercation or unintended injury that night. Due to neglect ? Gannon may have ran away during the night. SM may have not noticed right away. Was she even there that night? We’re her children left alone? Scrambling to figure out what to do. Procrastinated reporting or getting dad involved. Now what to do? Panic. One of the more important components is going to be documentation of the initial report, updates and determinations. There is an unknown specific reason why this was classified as a runaway for the time it ran before reclassification. I don’t think criminal intent is involved at this time. This is my opinion as of now. Subject to change at any minute. I hope y’all are pulling out your recipes for Crow casseroles. I might be eating quite a bit of it. What wine goes well with it?

So is it normal for a boy to go in the rain to visit a friend when he’s been home from school? Maybe the rain wouldn’t have bothered him ? hmmm
JMO

The rain was after sundown too. I think it was just starting to get chilly around 3 because my girls really wanted me to pick them up at school instead of Dunkin. (I hate school pick up traffic.) I was farther north that evening with one of my girls, and it was only snowing up there. But when I got home, my husband said it rained before it snowed.

I do not feel the condemnation finalized on the SM just yet either. I somehow want to. My heart wants to. My mind is telling me something else. The mysterious hike is the deceptive omission in the interview. The key. A deceptive maneuver deferring to the older daughter telling her to:

SM:...answer the question. that you came home from work after the hike and you can verify Gannon was at home.
...
Cause you didn’t go to the hike but you came home from work.

Something about this exchange is off. The oldest daughter doesn’t confirm she didn’t go on hike. She later answers when interviewer leads with a closed ended question/implication asking about them going on the hike. Daughter answers Yes.

What happened at the hike? Who was at the hike?

Agree. The older daughter may be a useful witness to confirm or dispel accounts.

But like anyone involved in GS's life on Sunday and Monday, she could also be involved in his disappearance either directly or indirectly, willingly or unwillingly.

Somebody is going to start talking, IMO.

Colorado boy missing for a week after leaving for friend's home
Snipped

By David K. Li

The week-old search for a missing Colorado boy shifted to neighborhoods about 10 miles south of the boy's home, authorities said Monday.
Eta
"There’s information that we have received that we need to search a different area," Sheriff's Sgt. Deborah Mynatt told NBC News, who declined to elaborate.
Yes, thank you. I’m tired of standing still. We need some investigative legs moving around. I’m hopeful this is a positive progressive move.

I don't know if anything at all happened on the hike. I think everything happened after the hike and the alleged BK...
Possibly part of the plan.. happy families .. looks good.. maybe.
my reading was that she asked her oldest daughter to confirm that Gannon was home when she returned from work.
Now if daughter was at work, the rumors that were subsequently created nulllifies all she said... but that's a different story and unverifiable for now.

I see what you’re saying. Reminds me of the Riley Fox case . The father was arrested for sexual assault and murder. Was in jail for years. Eventually they found the guy who really did it.

I worked at the grocery store in town in HS and the mother/father were the nicest people around. Even when my own dad told me he was arrested I didn’t believe it. The whole town turned on him. But he didn’t do it. Sad story.

Anything is possible at this point. We’re all trying to make sense of it.

If I have to eat some crow, I’d like it deep fried this time with a nice white :p Last time I ordered baked with some red wine :D

I wonder in what hypothetical way it would be hypothetically buzzing?
Trying to think of a way to answer this, hypothetically :-)

It does worry me the proximityof GoG to Rampart Range road, and the frequency that crimes are committed on that road, and bodies are dumped down the steep sides of the road into the mountains. Feel free to google “body on rampart range road”. Eerie

...But it appears the area of focus has turned to 10 miles south of GS home. Hoping it is good news.

We had rain followed by snow after the sun went down.
So in your opinion, if the hiking group was around rocks, do you think it could have been slippery?

Don't let me get you in trouble. I just hate not knowing everything. I guess I might finally have to break down and open a myspace account.

I guess it depends on where they went in the park. There are giant rocks a lot of folks climb on to take epic photos. I have rock climbed & rappelled several hundred feet on Kindergarten rock (scary). But there are also very flat trails, not much incline at all. People bike around the park. People bring their dogs. I’m sure some rocks could be slippery. Just depends on where you are hiking...

Hypothetically it looks as if csi unit at his home, again hypothetically

This is interesting because it is yet another example of her playing the victim like she did in that crazy video interview. Her discrimination claims were unsubstantiated (per that document) and she failed to notify anyone that she was not going to continue the job... she just stopped showing up after two days!
I don't think I understand. This is from 2016 and her license was suspended for 180 days. The teacher is scapegoating her husband's ex wife for this?

I second that, hypothetically. There is a hypothetical photo posted.
