Absent Gannon being found or an arrest being made, atleast we are seeing movement here.

Yesterday there was quite a bit of activity at the Stauch home, with crime scene investigators removing evidence (and trying to be secretive about it).

Tomorrow there will be another search, and judging by the involvement of the National Guard, it appears to be large in scale.

The weather should be ideal, which will help them greatly. I’ll take what I can get at this point, but I like the signs we’re seeing.

I agree @MassGuy

I see the last couple of days as being very positive and moving in the right direction.

If anyone thinks that this has gone COLD or that LE isn't working on this hard enough, I think this is proof positive that there is a TON of stuff going on behind the scenes and in the public view.

Locals - Looks like it's 48 degrees in Colorado Springs...is it sunny and melting? I think our ground has been so frozen and covered in snow that the melt off has been taking a REALLY long time where I am. I'm frankly pretty much over it

I'm going the opposite direction.
They will search, great
But we should keep sleuthing.
A search does not mean a find.
It's just a search.. unless they spread in a hundred different locations and there are several thousand of them, I wouldn't be holding out too much hope here.

Now, if they were including ropes and ravines and mountaintops and bottoms and all that's in between I'd be more optimistic.

There's a petition doing the rounds and I share your thoughts on that but the truth may be that it was well over a week before that search started in the right direction.

I'm not at all optimistic that this too is not another knee jerk reaction.
To be seen to be doing etc.

She knew the area, in part.
She possibly knew where the most effective drop sites would be, she may have visited them in the past. Or she may have merely researched them. Or hit it lucky.
There is a substantial quantity of public interest here.
I'm not going to hold my breath.

I simply don’t believe she had enough time to get all that creative. She had 4 hours in broad daylight to drive to her destination, do what she did, hide his body, then drive back.

That’s not even factoring in any potential stops she made along the way.

She’s benefited in the form of vast open spaces, and snow cover. They have to be searching these areas for a reason, and I don’t think that reason is “this place is as good as any.”

This occurred in broad daylight, in a fairly conspicuous vehicle. Cameras, witnesses, GPS, or phone records; something is guiding them.

Sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good, but luck has a way of running out.

So why this spot? Are they following pings now?

I think the cat was out of the bag, and it’s not like the media wouldn’t have known anyways.

I guess there’s no reason to keep it a secret. Besides that, it’s good press for the department (they are working hard to find him).

It's a hard time in general for LE right now, and they need that press. Nothing to do with this group but the comments out in SM on the approved FB pages, (meaning news stations, journalist pages etc.,) have grown quite harsh toward LE . Pages were heavily visited/commented on yesterday because another house search was publicly announced.
Forget frustration with T. Their patience has worn thin and is showing with comments which read along the lines of "this is not a criminal investigation?....as you go to the house, once again, in the Metro Crime lab van."

And another thing...when trying to come to grips with a missing child the last thing to elaborate on would be how a gate is controlled and how an 11 year old is the only one with a key...I have two grown kids and two grandchildren (8 and 4 months) and discussing how they are so responsible to keep checking a gate or door would be way down on my list of things to bring up during the initial interviews with LE...just sayin'

I agree 100%. Given her narcissistic behaviors, it is wise to realize that they always tell on themselves. Their words become pieces of a larger puzzle. There are reasons they are regarded as crazy-makers.

With all the recent happenings, could a deal be going down? Do you think she would try to deal out. I honestly don't know what she would be dealing for though, she's done herself in.

My gut is someone is talking but this time it’s not the SM.

I think the opportunity for a deal is long gone. If she'd come clean in the early goings and led them to Gannon, I think something could have worked out. But now....after all this time? I get the feeling that they don't have to offer a deal. I think they have a ton of evidence and it's only a matter of time.

Roller Coaster Road - I've seen that repeatedly as I've pored over the maps. I wonder if it's appropriately named...

There's also a pumpkin patch nearby. Maybe they stopped by in the fall?

I'm sorry if this has been discussed, I'm trying (unsuccessfully) to keep up, but is there video footage of her from the store/shopping trip? Thanks

None that I know of ...

LS’s actions and words echo soooo many of a close relative with the same personality. Sadly, I don’t think LS will ever ‘grow a conscience’ or admit wrong-doing.

The only scenario I can see for her ever admitting where Gannon is located would be if AS pleaded with her, saying “I know what ever happened was an accident, I know you felt you had no choice, I don’t blame you, please be the savior and bring Gannon home, and all will be well, I’ll be by your side.”

1. I don’t think AS would do this-that’s asking too much, I personally would never be able to keep up the act.
2. I think LS will take this to her grave and claim innocence, and demand apologies the same was FD did...

And even if AS tried, I don’t think she will fall for it because it would reveal a flaw in her character. I’ve known people who act like her (related to her clone, I swear), and they would rather die than admit to ever being at fault or in the wrong. Apologies go one way.

jmo moo imo and such.

Who could she possibly trust at this point? Anyone she may have confided in likely couldn’t keep that to themselves. Add to that legal threats to anyone helping or harboring, or compromising the investigation. Lastly, who would keep something like that a secret unless they were as “unbalanced” as her? If anyone does know anything, time to unburden themselves or go down with the ship.

Yes Roller Coaster road is very aptly named!

There are 20 threads to this section, so I apologize if this already mentioned ...
Did TS take her phone when she left with Gannon?

Because I was thinking that the searches were conducted in areas where her phone pinged the cell towers. That would very powerful evidence.

Is there anyone here good with maps that can mark one showing prior search sites and this one coming up?
They are not disclosing where they will be searching tomorrow.

Very sad to see the search off 83. I had a wonderful friend in Colorado Springs and we rode at a barn in Parker so often took that road. Also disturbing to see the pond as SM likes to tip her hand and water has been on my mind.
