I sat bolt upright in bed last night at about 2 AM. I kept wondering if exercise weights were missing from the house. (I actually didn't want to even write it but I need some sleep so I'm sharing)

Oh how I hope this was just a nightmare & doesn't become reality, but it's a really good thought if it fits with TS's M.O.: Sprinkle a little bit/word of truth & mix with a whole lotta lies :mad::(:(

Sure it's possible especially if he has been laying out there in the snow. I hate even saying this, but he's been preserved. So, if they find him and he's passed, he will tell his own story on what happened. And he won't be lying.

Moo,Moo
Will he be preserved after four weeks? I didn’t know that was possible even with snow

Help me out. let’s say LE has a ton of circumstantial evidence against POI.

But when Gannon is found, is it even possible that an autopsy will reveal anything to help the DA in getting a conviction?

For all of us it’s all about finding Gannon.
But for the family it’s important to make sure the killer pays.

I hate that someone hid him somewhere. Hate isn’t a strong enough word.
“But for the family it’s important to make sure the killer pays.“

True words from someone who might also know how it feels. My first little brother ~ I lost him to a cocaine OD under suspicious circumstances. We’ll never know. It was after the service was about over and people were through the family line heading toward the church exit. My mama who held up throughout like the saint she is - screamed in such an agonizing deep echo bellowing from within the very depth of her being - slumping in her seat. “Someone’s going to pay!” I can hear her now as I type the words. It was a long time ago. As many you probably know, the bittersweet tender grieving moments remain no matter the length of time. She’s come to terms with grace in her life but she retains that deep wrath against the ones she holds responsible for the premature end of her oldest son’s young life. She stands beside the old ‘eye for an eye’ principle of retaliation. The apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree.

I simply don’t believe she had enough time to get all that creative. She had 4 hours in broad daylight to drive to her destination, do what she did, hide his body, then drive back.

That’s not even factoring in any potential stops she made along the way.

She’s benefited in the form of vast open spaces, and snow cover. They have to be searching these areas for a reason, and I don’t think that reason is “this place is as good as any.”

This occurred in broad daylight, in a fairly conspicuous vehicle. Cameras, witnesses, GPS, or phone records; something is guiding them.

Sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good, but luck has a way of running out.
I agree if we have all info on the timeline correct. But I have been thinking, she could’ve dug a hole the evening before also.

I wonder if this abandoned barn near the intersection of Rt 105 & Rt 83 will be included in the search...

I do believe that if someone involved in the disappearance of Gannon comes forward, even now, and comes clean, there is a very good chance of some kind of plea bargain.

And if there's another person (unknown to MSM) who is involved in this case, then I think that person (if they are holding Gannon) qualifies to be prosecuted for kidnapping and probably some other things.

I wouldn’t put it past her to have tried, but I’m not sure how feasible that would have been.

If she was able to do that, I wouldn’t expect it to be very deep.

Absolutely they will be able to determine some things. If he was poisoned then they will probably be able to determine that. If any bones were broken that would be readily seen. Depending on where they find Gannon it's possible that the weather conditions will have preserved physical evidence that will be able to tell a story. My only concern is if he is found in water. I don't know how that would effect an autopsy.

MOO
I guess what I’m wondering though, and didn’t say it well, is if his body would say who his killer is? For instance if he was found with broken bones or bruises, wouldn’t her defense say whoever picked him up off the street did those things to him?
I’m wondering what forensic evidence they could find on a four week hidden body?
Maybe just finding his body would maker her break.
But I could see her saying he shouldn’t have ran away. :(

Roller Coaster Road - I've seen that repeatedly as I've pored over the maps. I wonder if it's appropriately named...

There's also a pumpkin patch nearby. Maybe they stopped by in the fall?

Roller Coaster Road (in the Black Forest) lives up to its name. It is frequently traveled but has some side (dirt) roads as well as driveways.

The ground would have been frozen most likely. My side yard, on the north side of the house, is still frozen.

Well this sounds promising and sad all at the same time.

For the first time since Gannon went missing my stomach flipped and felt queasy.

A big part of me wants Gannon found and the other part hopes they don't find him. Without a body there's still a sliver of hope although I know that hope is most likely futile at this juncture.

Come on home little man. Momma's waiting for you.:(

My shared reaction + a chill :(:(

Sweet Gannon has waited long enough, time for him to be found!

With all the recent happenings, could a deal be going down? Do you think she would try to deal out. I honestly don't know what she would be dealing for though, she's done herself in.
I don’t believe that TS would (if anything, she would throw someone under the bus, IMO), but if she had help, they might. MOO

She can (and probably will) say whatever she wants... they could get the killers DNA from his body, from under his nails, etc. There’s no telling until he is found. My guess is that they’ve been building a case against whomever it is that they suspect by making multiple trips to the house, sifting snow, etc.

I think the cat was out of the bag, and it’s not like the media wouldn’t have known anyways.

I guess there’s no reason to keep it a secret. Besides that, it’s good press for the department (they are working hard to find him).
The worst that could happen is the perp moving him.

Touch DNA is extremely important in cases of asphyxiation or other injuries of this type. In that case, time is of the essence. That type of evidence will not last long in the elements.

I am hoping they have evidence tied directly to the home, and then linked to Gannon, along with evidence pointing to false timelines, or Gannon never having returned to the house at all, to refute bogus stories of runaways and/or abduction.

Edited for clarity

This FL girl can’t comprehend frozen ground o_O

I'm sensing Hilltop Pines Path, it's wooded, would give some cover in daylight, assuming it's not been built out yet. Google street view shows lots of hidey places to pull off quick, in and out.

Anywhere along 105 or 83 or 50 looks a bit wide open for comfort, for a desperate perp.

Ice: When an individual dies in conditions where there is constant snow and ice, there is no way for bacteria to grow or insects to attack the dying remains. The cells are frozen in place and preventing from decaying. It literally arrests the process of decomposition. There are numerous ancient, historic and modern examples of bodies preserved in ice. The most famous of these is the ‘Ice Man’ Otzi found in Alps in 1991. It was thought at first he was a modern hiker who had died, but further investigation revealed he died in 3,300 BCE. The preservation was so good that we now have information about his tattoos, his two last meals, where he grew up, and his DNA has been completely sequenced.
